Terrible Vicious Dogs Next door

This place should be described and PRICED as NOT having a backyard! We could not use the backyard or the dock due to the neighbor's aggressive dogs. Every time we went into the tiny backyard, the dogs next door tried to get through the fence at us, teeth bared, and incessantly barking. The neighbor (apparent owner) didn't care that her dogs were trying to get into our backyard. She was either on her phone, ignoring her dogs, or talking to them like they were babies. She had no control over them, and she didn't care. They chased us down our dock from their dog. They barked and were bearing their teeth each and every time. I contacted the property mgmt company, spoke with Amy the mgr, and cared enough to do anything.Amy offered an insulting nominal discount for our disastrous experience, but she didn't do anything else, even though I had invited her to come visit to see for herself. Reviews approx a year ago also mentioned the same trouble with the dogs. No one cares, but they will charge the same high nightly rate anyway. The home itself was fine, spacious, & quiet. But the peace ended abruptly when we went into the backyard. We had a timid dog with us & a 7 week old infant. Our check in process was a disaster. Neither code worked for the keyless entry, & the lockbox was so rusted it was difficult to get the key out.We wouldnt recommend this VRBO at all!!! And I will never rent again from Go Coastal or Savannah Vacation Rentals. They're apathetic, unresponsive & terrible!!!!

Snow in Savannah

Well the snow certainly made things interesting but the house was lovely and when we did get out briefly to the historic area of town, we enjoyed it. The house has everything and a beautiful location; it also had heat which came in handy as the temps got down to the mid-20s. I certainly would come back, maybe in the spring next time although the cold/snow was very unusual and added its own charm.

Great spot

In town on business with client meetings/dinners and such. Nice quiet place to get away to. Great spot to drink coffee while looking at the river and get ready for the day. Very comfortable, would like to stay again when not so busy and take advantage of the kitchen and unwind.

This is the perfect property if you are looking for a quiet getaway close to Savannah or Tybee Island. We sat out on the dock every evening to watch the beautiful sunsets.

Family stay for the 4th

The house was nice and clean and in a great location! Especially for experienced boaters if you wanted to take your own boat which we did! We enjoyed family time for the 4th of July!

Get away from it all

This house is hidden along the river. The dock was my favorite place to hang out. It was a short trip into Savannah or out to Tybee. We also visited Hilton Head and Beaufort. Whether you are looking for seclusion or just a place off the beaten path, this house works.

Very peaceful & restful

We appreciated the ground level entry into home. Loved the location. Quiet neighborhood. Close to all our needs. Loved getting up early & be able to sit outside w coffe, book & my dog being in fenced in area.

AWESOME!

The house was beautiful and the view was even more amazing. The property looked exactly like the photos. The kitchen was stocked with all the equipment, pots/pans we could possibly need and they were very nice, unlike other properties where they are overly used. We contacted the rental company because we ran out of gas for the grill and they immediately acted to provide us what we needed. Grocery stores were at the end of the street (1-1.5 miles), restaurants and the drive into downtown Savanah did not take long at all! Highly, highly recommended this beautiful home! The only comment I have is I wish there some lights in the back yard to make grilling easier, especially since it was winter and gets dark sooner.

Perfect location! Gorgeous view!

Very clean and lots of space for our family! Gorgeous view of the water! We even had a dolphin come say hello one morning. We look forward to staying here more when we visit family on Wilmington Island!

Very nice stay

My husband, mother, & I really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location, wide water views, very upscale neighborhood. Only 20 min to downtown Sav. House is updated & renovated & A/C works well. Furnishings are high end & comfortable. Huge leather sectional. Master bedroom king size adjustable bed. One queen bedroom but no en-suite bath. It shares a bathroom with the bunk room past the kitchen. Kitchen stocked with cookware/essentials (S&P, sugar, cooking oil, 2 packets of coffee, dish soap/tabs & a sponge.) Most important about this property: NO SWIMMING. (The listing is WRONG.) Tides go in and out dramatically. No access from the shore: its a sea wall w/ lots of seagrass, mud/rocks, & oyster beds. No ladder from the dock into the water. The current is quite strong at high tide. Nice to look at, but I would NOT swim there or let pets swim there. A few drawbacks which other reviews have noted but not yet remedied: Need new numbers on the mailbox. Check in instructions are detailed to find the drive, but mailbox numbers should have been done by now. No ceiling fans in the house, and the bedrooms get stuffy at night. We asked and the property managers dropped off some fans for us. Big help! Kitchen needs more mugs, some potholders, and plastic glasses to bring outside. No seating out front, only one chair on the pier. Add at least one more on the pier and two out front. Back is well light at night but lights up bedrooms. No big recycle can out back & big trash was full.

Nice stay

This place was perfect for us. We needed a place for us and our adult children and grand dog as we were in town for a funeral. Well stocked with towels and shampoo, soap etc. as well as a great iron for irons g that wrinkle shirt my son brought. Would love to stay here again with the beautiful view of the river. Made it down to the dock a couple of times and were treated to dolphins and sting rays.

Disaster so deceiving

There was no where to sit outside...one chair at the end of the dock. We sat on the fake grass and got attacked by red ants. Thin layer of grease on every kitchen surface. Although a beautiful view and dock is shown there is NO SWIMMING. There are signs when you get there but none on the website. There is virtually no yard..thats why you they dont show it. Its the worst house on the street. There are only 2 dining chairs with a huge table. The dogs next door barked incessantly the entire time we were there. We booked for 4 nights and stayed for 1. There is nothing to do there unless you like to sit inside.

Magnificent place!

We brought together our Savannah family, our pets, and our boat to this fantastic dock! This home is so modern, remodeled, comfortable, and had all the items we needed for our family gathering. We all had a super great visit here and all beds were perfect for our stay. Happy to have all our pets here which can be a challenge but this host is very pet friendly, all very safe for smart pets that won’t jump off a perfectly structured pier into sharp oyster beds…dogs are too smart for that! The boat dock was absolutely a highlight, and the views here, being right on the water, was a daily and nightly fabulous experience!!! We love this home! We were all very happy here, had great meals, great kitchen with lots of storage containers for foods cooked, which can be a challenge when traveling. The bathrooms were superb, just 2 but very nice! The views cannot be beat! We want to rent this again! Loved this beautiful home!

Forty year Christmas freeze

Nice location, perfect for my two senior parents (no steps) Unfortunately, our plans to use the dock an sightseeing trips were not possible due to fridget temperatures. Heat pump worked its heart out but managed to keep us warm an comfortable. Only request would be a couple more dining chairs at the table an oven mitts to remove hot items from the oven!!! All other essentials were there. Would rent again, hopefully during better weather.
