Visited the hotel for a business meeting spending there a full week. The only positive note, the location fairly close to the business center but on the dodgy side of the river. Poor quality rooms, not very clean, really old with weird toilet facilities, only Brazilian channels on TV, no desk or working space in the room. The WiFi was disconnecting constantly requiring new logins many times a day. Food quality quite poor, I had the worst pizza in my life and the food was always served late. Huge queues on the reception to check in and out. Terrible in every way
It is a very nice hotel with renewed installations - rooms and all infrastructure. Good gym facilities. Breakfast is excellent! The negative aspect in the hotel is its location that is a little bit isolated. Therefore if you are in a business tryp is convenient to plan your route since traffic is heavy during the day.
In the one of the most expensive cities around the world for business travelers, the Novotel Sao Paulo Morumbi is a very pleasant surprise. Their original building is back to early 80' but after remodeling it turned as a very nice option in the new commercial district of Berrini Area. It is priced far lower than Hilton and Grand Hyatt and its includes a indulgent breakfast with nice view of Pinheiros river Bridge. The rooms are spacious, the Internet works well and if you`re a Accord member can ask for late check-out or early check-in(upon availability). Overall experience were really nice. Uber service reach the hotel in 5-8 minutes max and you can go anywhere from this place. The only problem, if you are a heavy shopper you need to ask to take you to the nearest shopping mall - but again it is not a problem: there is two, located about 7 minutes by card. I stayed in this hotel more than 30 years ago and I`m extremely happy to find it reinvigorated keeping the same attractive price.
From the front desk to the restaurant, passing the governance service, the service standard is amazing, higher than other 5 stars Hotels on the region. All the staff is always willing to help you and if you happen to stay in a room with the from to the bridge, the view is absolutely fantastic day and night. The sun rise just behind the bridge! This is will be my go-to-Hotel when I arrive in Sao Paulo.
If it seems too good to be true it almost always is! At $80 per night you get what you pay for. Front of house try hard, but there is no management in sight. Housekeeping is simply horrible - shower was dirty and service was limited to a cursory attempt to make the bed. The restaurant food menu is limited, and what is there is very ordinary. Again, it's $80 so expect $80 worth. Personally, I'd prefer to pay the extra and stay at the Hilton which is a stone throw away.
We arrived quite late in the evening at the Novotel around 22:00. There was a party going on, which we were warned about a couple of weeks earlier by mail. The receptionist told us the music would be turned down within 30 minutes. We were checked in smoothly. We went up to our room. It was a modern room with all facilities available (except coffee&tea facilities ) but very small especially for 4 persons. The sofa was turned into a bed. The bathroom was in a closet, but was complete with a very good shower. The music was indeed turned of within 30 minutes but it took quite long for all the people to leave. The hotel is quite noisy including sound from neighbours. The breakfast was fine, you had choice of bread/fruits/freshly made eggs and yoghurt .
Rooms are small and thanks to an screw-up at check-in where I was assigned a handy cap room and then a manager gave me an upgrade to one of their executive rooms – even then the room is small. Anyhow, service is not bad. They have a nice pool and a ok gym. The location is great if you are doing business nearby. Otherwise be prepared for traffic jams.
The highlights: This hotel has good service The breakfast is very good. Good price performance. The lowlights: -Then room size is small. -The gym is quite basic. I consider this a good choice if staying for business purposes and work will be in Morumbi area.
The hotel has been recently renovated and boasts excellent infrastructure. Delicious breakfast and restaurant with a beautiful view of the city. Next to the main points of Sao Paulo. Recommended for families and company events. Should only improve the quality of the pillows of the rooms.
Cleaning service and breakfast are the donwfall of this Hotel. Cleaning service because they forgot twice to clean my room; If you don`t have 1 hour to have your breakfast, don`t go. Everyday something was missing on the buffet and to have some eggs, takes more than 20min.
