I always stayed in this hotel, but in this last lodging, the check in was awful. I checked in online, in the evening, even so the room was not with the sofa bed tidy. I used my points for the reservation, but even then it would work from the front desk charged the full daily. showing total inattention. I hope they improve the reception, with more attentive staff.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before I went on to Rio. I must say don't judge a book by the cover the outside of the hotel looks frightening, however, inside it is very modern for Novotel Standards especially for the very inexpensive price point I paid! You welcomed with a Grand Entrance which leads to a big front desk and clear access to the elevators. After arriving from an overnight flight from the US, I was able to check in as soon as I arrived with no wait. I was given room 2220 which was a spacious room with 2 double bed and a nice sized bathroom and great view of the city, my only issue was that the air conditioning unit was not working in my room the unit on the wall was not functioning at all I contacted the front desk and they requested for maintenance to come see it, however they never came. I was able to up the windows to get fresh air in during the evening and night however it would be nice to have some air con during the warm portions of the days. I wont let that fault my judgement of the hotel as that was one issue. I travel to Sao Paulo Often and I decided to try this hotel for the location and it was great right off of Nove de Julho. I can get to anywhere in minutes via Uber also the Airport Bus Service is 5 minutes away walking via Praca Republica and access to the subway. Lots of good restaurants are in the area and I felt very safe. Even walking from Paulista at midnight via Rua Augusta. I choose 3 stars as the air condition unit was not working and the building maintenance never coming, along with no follow-up. I did inform the front desk when I checked out about the issue. No compensation was given, just a simple apology. I did choose to rebook to stay here for June as the location was perfect for my ventures in Sao Paulo and given me the comfort I require. I will be back in Sao Paulo in April and more like will continue to rebook
It's a feels like a 3 stars hotel. Not a fancy one. The surrounding is a low class area. The rooms are not that much good. The breakfast is good, but lacks variety. It has a small gymnasium. No swimming pool.
Very good hotel, near to train station and the city center, walking distance to SE, 25 de Marco, Teatro municipal, Estacao da Luz. The only thing was disappointing me was the breakfast, not weel organized, I spent 10 min on the door waiting someone to check me in, also the restaurant was empty, but all the tables were mess and no one to clean up, my suggestion, have your breakfast someplace else
I visit São Paulo regularly and have often walked past this hotel which is a striking building in an area of the fairly rundown centre of the city that I know well. We decided to give it a try for our first night in São Paulo this time and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Although the guy at reception didn’t actually say so, I think we were given an upgrade to a superior room on the 25th floor. We were bowled over after many disappointing experiences with Brazilian hotels to find that the room was very spacious indeed with very tasteful decor. It was spotlessly clean and fresh, the bed was very comfortable, good WiFi, and an excellent HD TV, although I couldn’t find any international channels on it, though I didn’t look very hard. The bathroom was a particular joy. As it was a corner room (2517) the bathroom had two external frosted glass windows that flooded it with natural light. The shower took a while to warm up, but was excellent once it did. Breakfast is usually a great treat in a good Brazilian hotel and this was no exception with a superb spread of the usual Brazilian fruits, cold meats, breads, cakes and egg and sausage, and much more besides. The location of the hotel of the hotel might worry some - it’s in an area that was once the height of chic but has rather fallen on hard times - but this is offset by the fact that it has a drive through area off the street where taxis can drop you off and you can get one any time you need. The hotel is also a short walk from Rua Anhandava which has a number of top restaurants including Famiglia Mancini and a charming area for al fresco dining. I can’t comment on what the experience of a non-Portuguese speaker would be as I was travelling with my Brazilian partner and speak Portuguese myself but the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. This really was a very pleasant surprise and was topped off by discovering that Queen Elizabeth had visited the hotel in 1968!
Traveled to this location for a convention. I found the hotel very nice with spacious rooms. It had a number of very positive features such as being walking distance to a Michelin Star restaurant + other excellent restaurants. The in-hotel restaurant was also good and the included breakfast very complete with many hot dishes, expressos, coffees, & other things. Rooms are very spacious with views & finally they had a serious (for a hotel) gym with free weights and machines.
Stayed here for one night as we were passing through São Paulo Pros: - nice modern hotel - rooms are pretty big - quiet rooms Cons: - check in took about 40 minutes - no one really spoke any English - phone in bedroom wasn't working - ordered room service and had to cancel it as it took over 2 hours to get to our room - shower wasn't great (very weak)
The hotel is comfortable but is getting tired. Bathrooms need to be upgraded and internet speed is very poor. Front desk and all Hotel staff people are very helpful and supportive. Hotel carpets needs upgrade.
Loved the room and the restaurant The room is large and very clean. The restaurant has chef cuisine with affordable prices The place is convenient, close to many attractions an to the Metro line. All the attendants were gentle and gave us all the information we needed
This hotel has a good price for what it offers. It is centrally located, gotta say that Sao Paulos downtown is not the best place to stay though. Hotel room was cozy (but keep windows closed cause it's noisy outside). Hotel manager, Henri, was really nice and helpful.
