We got this hotel last minute through a Hotel Advisor at Guarulhos Airport!!! Although it meant to be a four stars place, I am afraid this hotel is more like a two stars accommodation only!!! There are lots of small faults and unfortunately the hotel's pictures shown online do not match with the real state of this establishment!!! Perhaps it is in need of a good renovation works or make the room rates a little bit more affordable!!! Most appreciated!!!
I arrive here with no other choice, once the airline Latam (avoid it all costs!) cancelled our flight and sent us to this hotel. The double room we were assigned has a huge bed. So huge you can barely walk around it and you will find yourself with no place for your luggage (the specific place for that is too small and big luggage won't fit there). Pillows are huge and uncomfortable. The room offers one tiny table and in two - losing an office day due to the flight cancellation - was impossible to work. Once it is a "conference" hotel, we asked for an alternative place to work during the day and the staff was absolutely rude to say there is nothing they can do. Internet connection was slow and unreliable. We ate dinner at the hotel and in my whole stay in Brazil I never tried so awful food: tasteless, not fresh, low quality and no options dinner buffet. Coffee break is decent if you have no food restriction, but with no gluten-free options in a hotel that aims to be a four star. I will say that most of the two stars in Europe offer a better service. Avoid coming here and if the airline intends to send you to this disgusting place, fight for a better installation.
This hotel is more a motel than a hotel properly, It has updated rooms but you can see that is a make up over an old hotel. The restaurant is a depressed place with untrained employees. At my checkout they charged me a few bucks more in my credit card than the value in the bill, I didn't see this at the time. Don't recomend. It's far from the airport.
Got to the hotel at 22:00 and the reception was full of customers waiting to be recived,3 receptionist on the desk and only serving customers one by one ,as I spoke to the receptionist she tould me the hotel was full when on the site was still showing me the 2 rooms available, and once got in the room already paid for 2 people she said I had to pay 80 trais extra if my girlfriend wanted to sleep with me and I had to show them that I've actually paid for two... the service was the worst I've ever had in a hotel!
10 hours waiting for your next carrier in the airport is not healthy, this hotel has plenty amenities and good food for a reasonable price. recommended It is a bit hard at the airport to obtain information to get there,
On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and able to check into our room early. The lady and reception was helpful and attentive, possibly some of the best customer service we've received whilst here in Brazil. Our room was comfortable, some of the facilities and decor had a little to be desired but for what we paid, there are no complaints. We were able to check out at 6pm for an extra $35AUD Perfect!
After a surprise side trip to São Paulo from Rio, we ended up at this hotel overnight while waiting for a flight the next day. We checked in about 1am and were graciously greeted by the staff, who offered us late check out for the next day, which was wonderful! The building is older, but the rooms were nicely updated and very comfortable! They have a hourly airport shuttle, very reasonably priced. Can't say enough about the excellent service!
At least wifi worked during the day. By night, it was me and 10 other floors of guests on thr same network. Room was cramped like an RV. Door lock broken. Meat at breakfast was nauseating. Eggs ran out.
Spent about 12h here for a cancelled flight (which seems to be trend at this hotel) and wasn't impressed with the hotel facilities at all. The walls were paper thin, so you could hear everything happening around you which isn't awesome when it's already 3AM and you just want to sleep. Beds were adequate- not particularly comfortable but I did manage to sleep. The aircon was broken in my room but its winter so no big deal. Wifi was slow though it worked which was a huge plus when I went to rebook my flights. One redeeming quality of the hotel was the staff. They were unfailingly kind to each guest, even with some 200 of us showing up all at the same time in droves. They fed us and ensured we all had a room as quickly as possible and managed any complains with grace.
The airline put me up at this hotel for a 24 hour layover due to a missed connection. It was very basic hotel that is suitable for a short layover only. As a layover hotel, it serves the purpose. My room was functional and clean although very basic. The buffet dinner was simple but at least it was still available for my late arrival and breakfast was ok. The shuttle bus service operates just once per hour so we did have a bit of a wait in the airport before we could depart. The check-in process was also a bit slow due to the large number of people arriving at the same time on the shuttle. The airport is located out of the city in Guarulhos and there didn't seem to be much to do in the area. I took a taxi to Sao Paulo to kill time during my layover which took about 30 mins. Be prepared to pay a 50% surcharge over the metre fare for the return trip from SP if you do this.
