Great location, lobby area + bar are vibrant. Can easily walk to shopping and restaurants. Check in was slow but we got through it! Carpets through out the hotel are not clean and need replacing badly. Restaurant on site has EXCELLENT food, really good, adding some traditional Brazilian items. Also has Japanese selection for breakfast. Rooms are tired, European style. Good size but again, carpets were not great. No robes not slippers. There is a universal plug (1) in the room. Internet was good. Staff very friendly. Would recommend.

Very loud noise from the street. I was not lucky. There was a pre carnival in the weekend I stayed at and the noise inside the room was really annoying. I could not even work! Poor maintenance Internet very slow and frequently not working Very strict reservation policy

Terrible experience at this hotel!!! Check-in process was horrible, over 20 minutes with only one person attending the counter. The rooms are old and feel dirty. Poor upkeep in the room, found a spot on the carpet in my room. The worst part is the nickel and dime-ing. For example what is normal today in any major luxury /business hotel chain is to find a iron and iron table. At this hotel they took the time and effort to place a hanger for the iron and iron table in the room, see photo, and then charge a fee of $10 Brazilian reals per hour (aprox USD$3.50)to use one. Although the rate does include breakfast. Then last week at the same hotel the room had a iron and ironing board BUT the rate didn’t include breakfast. Ridiculous revenue management practices. But the worst is the arrogant attitude of the staff by offer to resolve the situation by charging you a higher rate for another room category. It doesn’t make any sense.

I had a decent stay at the hotel, the fare was pretty good and I thought it was worth the money for a 4 starts hotel. However, it doesn't really feel you are in a Meliá, I have stayed in their hotel in other countries it it was definitely not the same quality. Yet, the location was pretty good.

The Melia Paulista is an excellent choice. In a prime location and right at a metro stop which is surprisingly easy to use. The breakfast buffet is one of the very best in the world--made to order omelettes and other goodies. The pastries and fruits are incredible. Excellent coffee of course. Nice bar. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Wonder if the swimming pool is finished yet. My only concern was that when there are protests you have a front row seat--apparently not all are happy with their President. The staff are multi-lingual, helpful and fun. I commend the Melia Paulista to you.

Very accessible close to all amenities. Clean, friendly staff, inexpensive. Room had all requirements. Good restaurants nearby. Close to many historic sites. Had some very good food in nearby restaurants

Strategically located in the core business of S. Paulo is a hotel without luxury but with the necessary services to satisfy a customer who goes into business The breakfast was quite good, but restaurant service nothing special but there are many options around the place for eating.

A large corporate hotel right on the bustling Av Paulista. Super friendly if slightly understaffed reception. My room was large, clean and quiet with robe, slippers, iron and a kettle for tea. Had the choice of floorboards which I'm glad I selected. Breakfast was generous with fresh fruit, juices, hot food, cakes and a Japanese option - one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had in fact. There's a cute bar on the ground floor which does good caipirinhas & gin tonics. The hotel is right by the Consolaçao metro stop & the street closes to traffic on Sundays for pedestrians to walk up & down which is really nice. The only drawback was that the adaptor plug in my room was broken & when I asked for maintenance to come they left without fixing it and the suggestion was to buy my own (it was too late by then). But other than this, which can be easily remedied, I think Melia does what it does well - a good business option.

Very well located hotel, so everything is nearby. pros -- great breakfast -- clean room -- nice staff cons -- a bit noisy, but acceptable next to the Av. Paulista -- staff cannot fix my internet issue for a week. Probably fault of their provider. If internet is working, the speed is acceptable

Hotel was OK but only OK! Check in was one of the slowest I have ever endured, they need to staff up. Eventually when checked in got to my 10th floor room only to find the key didn’t work....30 minutes later at check in they gave me a new one. Rooms were very dated and “tatty” especially for what you pay. Won’t be staying there again!
