Very well located hotel, so everything is nearby. pros -- great breakfast -- clean room -- nice staff cons -- a bit noisy, but acceptable next to the Av. Paulista -- staff cannot fix my internet issue for a week. Probably fault of their provider. If internet is working, the speed is acceptable
Hotel was OK but only OK! Check in was one of the slowest I have ever endured, they need to staff up. Eventually when checked in got to my 10th floor room only to find the key didn’t work....30 minutes later at check in they gave me a new one. Rooms were very dated and “tatty” especially for what you pay. Won’t be staying there again!
Excellent location on Paulista avenue, near Consolação subway station. Great breakfast. Spacious and comfortable apartments. Some apartments have carpeted floors so if you are allergic, make sure your accommodation has laminated wood floor. There may be large queues at check-in and check-out on busy days. The bar and lobby areas are small and always crowded.
I stayed at the melia for 3 days while i was moving apartment. I was meant to stay for 10 days but i had to change hotel due to so many things. I wouldnt recommened the melia hotel to anyone at all. Nothing but problems and rude staff. On two seperate occasions i ordered something and they didnt come. First was an omlette at breakfast second were cleam towels. The door broke a few times. So couldnt get into the room for 20 minutes each time. The valet staff and breakfast staff are rude the hotel is ancient and needs a refurbishment and also a good clean. It is actually filthy. I will never stay in a melia hotel again. It should be 3* hotel not 5*. The ques to check in are so long so even if you need a new key or to ask something your waiting ages. I really didnt enjoy the melia and the valet parker jose needs to be sacked. Ive never met someone so rude on all my life. Especially from a guy who parks cars for a living. Avoid the melia if you dont want to be dissapointed.
Great central location 1st time staying here as usual hotel was full around the corner Hotel misses having a proper bar area Rooms are tired need investment not 4 star plus more 3 star Breakfast was ok
Really I think that the hotel is paying people to be so ideot... or at least the capacitación given to then looks like it is not enough.... or they hate the Argentinian visitors or don't know what's going on. I was there with some work colleagues and the experience for all of us was incredibly unsutisfied....
The Internet connection is terrible, which is very annoying when you are there for a business trip. Sometimes it takes too long to have an answer when you call the reception. Breakfast and rooms are ok, but nothing special.
Right in the center of the business/shopping district. Plenty of dining within walking distance. Rooms are comfortable. Access to subway was practically in front of hotel. Most of the staff understood English.
Well I chose this hotel because even not being a Caesar it is still imponente and dragged my attention. Also because it's location few metres from the tube station. The staff is ok, supportive by in my long check in the seemed not understanding what they were doing regarding my contract of stay. I asked for a smoking room, they granted me but stamped in my contract a fee of R$ 300,00 if I smoke. The receptionist said it was a normal procedure but how come if I'm choosing a room to smoke? Well he was lost. Second, being close to Paulista avenue requires a good noise barrier which I did not have in my room. I could hear the traffic. Privacy, the bank building beside the hotel was too close and we could see people working and according to the law of physics if I see them they see me two! So I suggest blackouts or thicker curtains. Breakfast, ok but putting automated machines for my coffee? Yes and hot chocolate? I expected more since they are the most expensive hotel in the avenue. Time for a maintenance. It is visible the furniture and gadgets are old and rusty (specially in the toilet). The shower although rusty was very good. I would stay somewhere else.
I have stayed here a number of times over the past 4 years. Each time I stay I notice the decline in cleanliness and decor. The location is great but sad to see the Melia brand in such decline seems to mirror the Brazilian economy. Breakfast is very average; poor coffee imagine in Brazil, hot buffet poor quality and a hot counter that does not open in line with breakfast times. Bedrooms are not fully cleaned. Bathroom has cracked tiles and a mystery fungus in one corner. The dirty brown carpet hides a lot. Being winter there was no means to heat the room so felt cold.
