Wow! It has been a long time since I have such a bad night sleep. I stayed at this hotel because of the Melia name and because I have tried the hotels around this area and they were horrible. Upon arrival you will notice that the fountain outside the entrance is damaged and looks abandoned. The lobby area looks nice and I think that's where they spend all their money. The rooms are large, but the beds are HORRIBLE!. Worst pillows I have had ever. The seat in front of the working table looked like it had not been cleaned since they opened the hotel, I had to use a pillow over it as it was nasty. I think there were flees on the carpet or something as I had to scratch my feet continuously while seating there. You will ask, "why didn't you check out and find another hotel?". I had business to attend in this area and all the other hotels are even worst than this one. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel. Go to the Morumbi Area where the hotels are US branded and they are much better. This is what I will be doing next time I got to Moema, Sao Paulo. Worst of all, went to check out and they could not provide me with a receipt for my stay as their system is down. Was told that they will email it to me next day. Three days later, no email. I had to call long distance from the US to talk to two people about my invoice as I needed it for my expense report, they told me that I will received it today...
Around the hotel there are many options for having lunch or dinner, bars to go out, and market. Nice location. Confortable room. There are many healthy options at the breakfast, like fruits and cereals.
The rooms were nice, cozy not large by any means, the service was on point though. Stayed here a couple of nights during a trip to sao paulo and i would probably stay here again. There are better hotels for similar price but this one will definitely accommodate most tastes.
I stayed for a business trip one night at melia Ibiraquera Quick check in good room comfortable bed show with good water and hot , internet is wifi and free and has good speed Breakfast was good but reduced options from last stay about 6 month ago Check out easy and fast even at 7:00 am Car parking is 25 rs a day ad takes a moment to bring your car
Location was great! Hotel was very nice and clean 👌🏼 there was a mall nearby and great restaurants to choose from. We felt very safe in this neighborhood and it was the perfect place to stay to attend the fair. Will come again!
The room is terrible and the staff is very unfriendly, for the first time on my life after many years travel the world I had the most disappointing experience with this Melia Ibirapuera please stay way from this hotel
Let's try to describe it on topics... Front desk: I made my reservation through the Hoteis.com web site, as I do for all my hotel reservations, and by the first time I got problems in retrieving the reservation. Two ladies were attending the front desk, so I got one busy with my issues and the other was attending other guest. I do not know if it is the system or lack of personal training, but the one was with me was desperately trying to fix the reservation problem while a long line as being create on behind us. Took almost half hour to fix but all OK. Appearance: Branding hotels have their names linked to certain quality, service, appearance, details that remember the hotel name and etc. So Meliã is a middle up level hotel and that is what you expect in all their hotels, nevertheless, it was not what I saw at the lobby. They tried to keep an atmosphere of modern but looks cheap (note: it's only my opnion) Ambiance: I have arrived on Saturday evening, around 8pm, and the breakfast saloon was rented to a wedding party, so you can imagine how noise was in there. So avoid lower floors, otherwise we will be part of the party as well. Breakfast: Sunday morning, several of the invitees of the wedding party was being served in the saloon, and took about 20' to have a table... just a table, not service as fork, knife, spoon, cup, etc... the buffet was almost gone.. and was still 40' before the service ending. I struggled to have the service stuff to have a cup of expresso, a bread and butter. Thought was because the over booked caused by the party, but on Monday morning I got into the breakfast at 06:45 - 15 minutes after service starting. Nobody in the saloon... nobody, no guests neither waitress and again I took all stuff by my self. I went out about 07:15 and did see no waitress still in there. Room: The room is OK, about 30m² (maybe a little smaller) and I had no complain at all in there. The only issues, is the wall are too thin so you for sure hear the activities of your room neighbor. Localization: It's very well located but the traffic in front of the hotel will take you a while to get rid of this jam.
The staff takes a long time to answer the callings and they are very bad educated. The lifts takes long time to come and the very bad equiped gym closes at 10 pm. I had to stop my training. I will never stay here anymore. Be aware you have much better options near Ibirapuera for less cost. Do not stay!
The hotel was well situated, clean, attentive employees. Suggestion: Remodel the rooms and the bathrooms with new furniture and brighter colours. Give the employees english and spanish lessons as you are a international chain and your employees should be able to communicate with your clients easily. We speak 4 languages but not Portugese.
We stayed here for a night before taking a cruise from Santos. It is a typical 4 star business/tourist hotel. It has a small pool with just enough space for two abreast. The buffet breakfast is good. We didn't use the restaurant in the evening but there is an excellent Italian restaurant across the road that serves large helpings.
