Wonderful place. A beautiful hotel overlooking the caldera. Stunning view over the water, small but immaculate hotel with infinity pool, amazing staff, great restaurant - huge breakfast - this was the hotel you dream about. We floated through our week! Every room opens directly onto the view, the colours are white and gentle minimalism, so very cool and calm. The hotel even has a chapel! What makes it extra special is the staff - reception, the housekeeping staff, the restaurant - they give it an extra warmth which makes the place really stand out. Thanks San Antonio.
The San Antonio suites were luxury and serenity and gave you that zen feeling. Very posh!! The views are spectacular and room was impeccable. The breakfast was a very large buffet with plenty of selections especially the sweets. The staff were very welcoming and gave very good recommendations for visiting spots all over the island, especially Ntina at reservations, she is a star!! This hotel is short ride to Fira and very convenient with a car. If you are looking for a quiet, luxury, relaxing stay with stunning views of the Caldera, this is the place to be (half way between the 2 sides of the island. It a boutique hotel so it seems very relaxed, no bustle. We had a beautiful suite (last room on the end and it was very private, with its own hot tub and sun terrace with loungers. Everything is 5 star, the staff are very caring. We also went to the spa and LOVED IT!!! My only complaint was that there was no walk in shower (so I used the one at the Spa, which was GREAT) and the internet connection was AWEFUL . I had to go to the lobby, every time I had some business to take care of which was very irrigating, given the time difference between Greece and USA.
Fantastic location away from the maddening crowds. Beautiful sunsets and perfect for those romantic sundowners. Hotel staff were absolutely fabulous, always smiling and helpful, even so late in the season.
This hotel was spectacular, gorgeous views and immaculate accommodations. I was traveling alone and the hotel felt very safe and was accommodating to my needs. I had a beautiful suite by the pool that had a comfy couch for lounging out of the sun. The included breakfast was a very large buffet with plenty of selections for a vegetarian. The staff was very welcoming and gave very good recommendations for excursion trips, booking everything for pickup at the hotel. I took a sunset catamaran ride and a bus tour and both were professionally run and I learned a lot about their beautiful island. I stayed in October near the end of the season and though it was a little chilly some nights, it was warm 70’s and sunny every day. Can’t wait to visit again!!!
It was an incredible experience we were at the most beautiful room with private jacuzzi and the mos amazing view, i defenetely recommed this hotel, if yu want to rest and have a good time, also the restaurant has the best food!
The San Antonio suites were pure luxury, completely isolated from the rest of the touristy island. If you are looking for a quiet, luxury, relaxing stay with beautiful views, this is your hotel, if you want to be in a city centre near to bars and restaurants this is not your hotel. There are only a few rooms so never that busy, we chose to upgrade to a premium room, not the absolute best but maybe the second best which we felt was well worth it as we had a massive, very private room with its own hot tub and sun terrace with loungers. Whereas the standard rooms were much smaller and located by the pool and not very private (privacy is very important to us). There is nothing bad to say about the room or the service, everything was 5 star. Breakfast was lovely and although pricy the restaurant was also nice. We also went to the spa which was really good. My only one small complaint would be the fact that there were not enough sun loungers for the pool area which meant a few selfish people would put towels down on the best loungers first thing in morning, even if they weren't using them which was really annoying. Don't expect to have to fight for a lounger at this kind of luxury hotel.... would be good if hotel found a solution to this. Other than that no complaints and would stay here again, it was nicer than any other hotels we saw on our visit and much more private. Top tip - hire a car as you need to drive everywhere.
This is by far one of the best hotels on the island. It is situated in between the bustling towns of Fira and Oia, which offers privacy, romance, and seclusion, but is in close enough proximity, where you don't feel isolated and remote. The towns on either side are easily accessible by walking along the beautiful trail, which offer more spectacular views of the sea and caldera or the hotel will promptly arrange transportation for those who choose not to walk. One of the many features of this hotel that was lovely and unique is the fact that the populated trail does not run directly in front of it, so not only is there nothing obstructing the gorgeous views, but there is not a constant stream of people walking by. The hotel staff were all amazing and I have never seen more gorgeous rooms. Our every request was accommodated with a smile and graciousness, Despite going in early June, which is not high season, the traffic and crowds of people were overwhelming and we were so greatful to have our beautiful retreat to escape to. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel and would like to thank Santorini Dave's blog for steering us in the right direction.
This hotel was perfect in its service, quality and location. We were there towards the very end of the season, so the hotel was not full all the time. Adults only, except one very cute baby. The staff was great, the food was good, especially the breakfast buffet which was included in the price of the room. Our room, I think a junior suite??, was large, comfortable and had a great balcony with a view over the Santorini Caldera. You did need to bus, taxi - or walk - to the closest villages - Ioa or Imerovigli.
we went on a wedding party end of september to Santorini and stayed at the San Antonio suites: very nice location, excellent staff, fantastic view from the terrasse-restaurant... it is expensive but worth. The island was still very busy and it might be less paradisiac i during the holidays... last point: they don't accept children below 12
If your budget allows, book this hotel. We were initially nervous about the location. It's by itself, between Oia and Fira. The location give the hotel privacy and serenity. It also makes it easy to split up the popular hike between Oia and Fira. Fira and Oia are beautiful but crowded. We prefer the peaceful location of San Antonio. The property is spotless. The views are perfect. The sunset is visible from the southern half of the property. The included breakfast is high quality and has good variety. The staff is friendly and speaks perfect English. We rented a car during our visit. Parking was not a problem in October. Having a car make it easy to venture out. I would definitely rent a car again. The only negative is the WiFi. We had trouble staying connected and the speed was slow.
