This is a really nice hotel with most rooms surrounding its pool. Great staff and very pleasant buffet dinners. Good wine list, and quite a local santorini products. Within easy walk of the seafront promenade with lots of good bars and restaurants.
My friend and I stayed at this hotel as part of a gate one package. This was our first stop of three destinations in Greece. The majority of the staff at this hotel is wonderful, but unfortunately the people at the front desk ruined it for us. On our last day there, I went to the front desk early in the morning when I realized that we didn’t have any towels. Yeres acted like I was asking him for $1 million. He made it very clear that he was put out by this request and even started yelling at me at the end of our interaction. He refused to give me his name and demanded to know my name. When I went to go complain about him to the manager, Mr. Dimitris, The manager refused to come out and speak with me. Then, I understood why Yeres thought that he could get away with this type of behavior. I stay at hotels often and I have never had an interaction or anywhere close to this one. It left a horrible taste in my mouth. Thankfully, the other two hotels that we stayed at in Greece were amazing and had stellar customer service.
I regret this review is so late. My wife and I traveled to Skiathos in late May. At first, when I saw that our travel agent had arranged a stay on the east coast of the island, by Kamari Beach, I was disappointed. I thought the place to stay should be on the island's caldera side with vistas. As it turned out, the "quiet side" of the island was perfect. We did spend time on the more photogenic cliff-side of the island. Getting there only took a few minutes by bus. But when we were ready to escape that area's packed crowds of tourists, we could return to the Rose Bay and our pleasant poolside room and patio. In the evening we were only a very short walk from the beach and a big selection of friendly seaside restaurants. In fact, one nice restaurant was just across the street from the Rose Bay. The beach restaurants offered fresh seafood and good service. The village of Kamari, where the bus stops, is a 10 minute walk away and has some decent shops. Our Rose Bay room was simple but comfortably functional. Good shower, comfy bed and our own small patio. The pool, surrounded by the rooms, is spacious, plenty of poolside seating and shaded tables -- also pool bar service. And the staff was super friendly and helpful (maybe that's just the way it is all over Greece). By the way, the airport is not far away but we were completely oblivious to any airport noise. Rose Bay's many qualities and reasonable rates make it a super bargain.
We travelled with a large tour group to several Cycladic islands starting and finishing at Rose Bay. Most people were pleased to return to this hotel. The rooms are not large but are clean and most face the pool, bar and dining room. Only two floors so all have a terrace or balcony. Pool towels are provided. The restaurant opposite, Lolos is one of the best in Kamari tho there are plenty to choose from a short walk away along the front. A good supermarket is next door. You do get used to the aircraft noise which is only occasional but loud. The staff are lovely and we would stay here again if we return to Santorini.
We were given a room with the bathroom on one floor and the bedroom up a narrow staircase. Quite plain. We were allowed to change rooms, better but still quite small. Nice Staff especially Christian and Eleni. Bed was hard like sleeping on the floor. Close to the beach and nice restaurants.
The room is so small, only one plastic chair, one low plastic stand to put coffeemaker, another low table to put TV, the bathroom is super small as well, we have to ask for extra toilet papers, and light ball was missing by night stand, they do take care of things very promptly if you ask, the room doesn't look comfortable at all. The only good thing is very close to beach, and plenty good restaurants by the beach. The convenience store is close by, you can buy water and fruits. The bus station is near by, remember when coming back from Fira, get off on last stop of Kamari, we got off at Kamari beach, and had to walk a long way. Quite noisy between 6am to 12 midnight, because airport near by. Some people did say they had wonderful rooms, just be aware, sometimes you can be assigned to the small room like the one we had.
The hotel and staff were very nice. The room was clean and spacious. Our shower head was broken but promptly fixed when it was brought to the attention of management. The included breakfast buffet was good. The hotel is a very short walk from the beach which was actually a bonus to be away from the noisy promenade with all the foot traffic and restaurants. We would stay here again.
Its conveniently located to the party beach area with numerous restaurants and bars, Its walking distance from all the fun, food activities. The pool bar is fully stocked and ready available for hotel guests. The free breakfast is a great plus.
Excellent location (2min from Kamari beach & 5 min from bus stop which make access to Fira and Oia very easy ) / Friendly staff helped me to surprise my partner with our 7th anniversary / They also offered me one hour more in hospitality room for free in last day due to my late air flight
I highly recommend this hotel and the room 204. A good view of the pool, the mountain and the bright lights of fira over the hill. The staff at the hotel are super and there where 2 in particular, the pool barman Christian, he was very friendly and made you feel very welcome and a woman who I forgot the name off that worked her socks off and never stopped. The location of the hotel is located it Kamari and is opposite to a wonderful Greek restaurant. a local shop is just 20 yards away and if you keep on walking down the road and turn right and you will see a 2 mile trip with hundreds of restaurant and bars you can eat in or eat outside on the beach front. a very relaxed vibe and no where near the business of the city of fera...just perfect.
