Good location .walking distance from the market n bus stand. We had taken triple room and that too was very small.Bathroom was also small with leaky taps.limited choice in d breakfast...no cereal no fruit etc.
I'm happy to stay here. Nice clean hotel with wonderful staff, who are enjoying their job. All the time happy to help. Hotel is amazingly 3 minutes away from the beach as from the shopping street. I would choose hotel again, if I come back to Platanias. One happy guest 😊
Melina hotel is the best. Mario at reception so helpful. Always ready to serve you. Hotel so neat and clean. Staff behaviour very very cordial. So near to bus stand. Mario is exceptional. His ever ready ever smiling behaviour can't be found anywhere else. I very strongly recommend this hotel. Modi rr from kolkata India
We came here for our honeymoon. We booked his hotel through dolphin Hellas which was a wonderful travel Company that we recommend. The hotel was dirty, there were mosquitos on the walls, the linens on the beds were dirty, the towels were as hard as sandpaper. We ended up checking out a day early and going to another hotel, hotel panorama which was very inexpensive and had an incredible view.
We stayed as a family for four nights in two separate rooms. Whereas the hotel rooms will possibly get a bit of maintenance over the winter, they were very adequate. Each with a balcony, fresh towels every day, great breakfast with local foods and the location was perfect. The total winner was the staff, so helpful, engaging and reliable. They arranged our transfer to the hotel, helped out with medical issues, gave us terrific dinner/drinks/snacks recommendation and arranged alternative accommodation for the night we had to extend due the seaman's strike. They went beyond the expected to make our stay a delight. Thank you!! X
Localization is the best . Good hotel and very nice staff !! The owner was all the time there and gave us all kind of support. The cruise tour which the hotel do was the best tour with a very good lunch !! if I come back there for sure will stay in Melina Hotel.
Having stayed in a apartment in Santorini at the beginning of our trip we chose to stay at the Melina Hotel on our return for a bit more luxury and the pool. The location is ideal for the bus station and walking into Fira. Do not miss the amazing sunset. Such a beautiful sight. We were greeted at reception by a lovely guy and given all the information we required in very good English. We were shown to our room walking to the third floor. This was fine for us but may not be for all? We had a split room with the single beds in a loft space with very steep steps. The room was very basic . The loft space was adequate height for us but not if you were taller. No shampoo etc just soap. No cups for water. Tv but no English Channels. Good hairdryer. Beds comfy and clean but linen tired. Shower ok but would not suite anyone of tall or wide stature. Adequate for us shorties! Air con very good. Breakfast was served to you on a tray. Boiled eggs toast , tea or coffee, orange juice a pot of fruit yoghurt and a piece of cake. Adequate. The pool was lovely but none of the umbrellas worked to give shade. Sun beds good . Again adequate. This is only a 2 star hotel so you may think this is what I should expect? I am being honest.
Small friendly hotel, near the caldera in thira. Very clean and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Reasonably priced. It is not far to the centre but far enough away to be quiet. Breakfast is included in the price. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Nice hotel, definitely worth it 2 stars, probably 3. It's no luxury but you have everything you need. Great location with just a few minutes walk to Fira city centre. Great pool, and pool area and very nice staff. Good breakfast, noting fancy but quite big and nice. The down side would be that the rooms are a bit small, and the shower could do with some better water pressure. But over all a really nice hotel for that price range.
Melina Hotel is the best hotel that I had stayed! 1. Kind & Friendly staffs! When I was sick because of sunburn, hospitable staffs not only showed me they really cared but also got me to a pharmacy! Thanks to their kindness, I could get well! 2. A place easy to get to tour! The hotel is in a good part of Fira. since it iswithin a five minute walking distance away from the center of the town, I could trip the Santorini! 3. Clean and beauthful room Our room was very great as well. The room was clean and the breakfast was nice! I could enjoy the beautiful view of Santorini in my Room due to a good balcony! Coming back to my country South Korea, I have strongly suggested Melina Hotel to my friend who want to go to the Santorini! Because this hotel gave me a a precious and happy memory. If I will be able to go to the Santorini, I hope to stay in here!
