If you need a room to sleep in, and a good shower...then this is for you. Nice location in Sitges within walking distance of the beaches and restaurats. Disappointed in that there is no kettle in the room for a late night cup of tea. Be prepared to pay for the use of the gym.
I stayed here 5 years ago & found it okay so I went back again. Nothing has changed in 5 years which is not a positive thing. If you are looking for something very basic then this hotel will provide that. It is clean but in dire need of a refurbishment. It is quite central (a walk through a car park littered with rubbish) but it is also on a fairly main road which is noisy. It does have a nice pool area & the pool is clean & nice to swim in but that is probably the highlight. I don't like to just put places down as I hate it when I read those types of reviews but I am really struggling here to find too many positives. The breakfast is terrible, they would do well to just have a big bowl of fresh fruit & change it up a bit each day. Put a bit of love into the food. The Manager is very nice & welcomes you warmly & gives you recommendations & ideas on what is available. Sorry Hotel Melina but you were pretty average.
This is a lovely basic hotel, it's on the more expensive end of budget, perhaps just for when we stayed (September) but is a lovely place full of charm with an usually decent size pool for the area. I thought I read on their site it had a pool bar, which it doesn't, so don't turn up expecting pins coladas round a pool like I did! The location is great but you will be going uphill to the town, something we hadn't taken proper account of when travelling with a one year old and a buggy, the accomodation has a cot to use, but the rooms are not huge, so we couldn't get round one side of the bed once that was in, worth bearing in mind as they are perfect size rooms for two, not so much for two plus baby and all the crap you gave to take with you! The owners are lovely and the breakfast in the morning was great.
The Melina hotel certainly was a very simple and modest accommodation for the traveler to Santorini. Melina, her brother and the rest of the staff were immaculately accommodating by answering every question there was about the hotel and our stay in Santorini. I truly appreciated their service to their lodgers, because it made my time in Santorini unforgettable. As well, the hotel is less than a 5-minute walk to the center of town and the Caldera, which made our trips to get food and sightsee very accessible. I will add that this hotel provides the basic necessities and accommodations: beds, a small breakfast (which was bread-heavy, but included a boiled egg, and a yogurt), a tv, a small refrigerator, AC (which may or may not be common, depending on where the traveler is coming from). The bathroom left more to be desired, as the shower shower stall was very small. If you are looking for simple, yet modest accommodations, this would fit the bill. If you desire more, you may want to look for accommodations that align to your wishes.
The hotel was great, they came and picked us up from the boat on arrival and were very helpfull. Staff are more than happy to give you heaps on information on what is good to do on the island. The hotel was authentic and very clean, the gardens and walk ways always kept immaculate. Great stay!

Beds are amazingly confortable rooms are spacious we got room 21. It's a cozy lovely hotel with charming people and view. As honeymooners we enjoyed our stay every thing was a few steps away from everything and a good place to rest i highly recommend melina hotel for ur stay im santorini we loved this hotel it's not a 5 star hotel but for my husband and i it deserve it.
We stayed 4 days in Santorini The island is so magical and we Loved our staying in Melina hotel It was very clean and staff so friendly and helpful also it was very relaxed hotel and our baby enjoyed the pool so much which was a blessing in 39 degrees Also very convenient to shops and the best restaurants in Fira we walked everywhere Very short walking distance to the bus station where the buses go to Oia and other places around the island
Great location. Walking distance to everything in Fira. Melina and her brother were amazing. Couldn't do enough for us. Organised transfers, tours etc. Very clean and well kept. Our room was in the perfect location.
Despite our late evening arrival, we were greeted by the owner herself. Besides being lovely, Melina was also very helpful with our accommodations for the tours during our stay and explained very well the best way to get around town. The room was cozy and clean. The balcony and the pool are also a great way to relax after a full day of touring. At check out Melina took a picture with our favorite travel companion 😊
