Booked this hotel and paid extra for Seaview and balcony. The room was very small with ti y shower room, the room was on ground level which limited the sea view wardrobe space was more suitable for a child. Reception could not change room for three days which in our opinion delayed the start of our holiday. The alternative room was spacious and acceptable which helped to enjoy our stay The reception staff were helpful the other staff were less friendly
You will fall in love with Santorini, no doubt. This island offers so much from beaches, wine factories, shopping to great restaurants and night clubs. The beaches are unique because they are the consequence of the eruption of a volcano. This left black very small volcano lava stones and red sand which makes it impossible to find anywhere else. The food, as in all Greece, will delight the most demanding palate. If you decide for seafood or fish, you can get a huge offer being the island in the Aegean Sea.
We got bumped to this property and what a delight it ended up being! Lovely grounds, pool view overlooking the ocean. Great boardwalk just beyond the pool area along the beach with shops and restaurants. Great service, clean, comfortable, quite a lovely surprise!
My partner and I stayed at the Kamari Beach Hotel in October 2017 for 5 nights. The hotel itself is in a stunning location in Kamari along the beach front. The hotel was clean, spacious and comfortable, with very helpful staff. The breakfast was fantastic - a lot of choice ranging from pastries to a full english. There is a vast choice of restaurants along the beach front and all were fantastic. I would highly recommend people travelling to Santorini to stay here as you still get the quality hotel for a fraction of the price you would pay in Oia / Fira. Fira is only a 15 minute bus journey away with a bus stop just around the corner from the hotel. Oia is roughly an hour away on the bus. (The bus costs next to nothing in comparison to taxi's). Great location, amazing holiday. Would definitely go back every year if we could.
We loved our time in Santorini. the Kamari Beach Hotel is lovely and the staff very freindly. Breakfast is ok but not brilliant as no Bacon. Santorini itself is beautiful just like the brochures, the views are amazing.
Beautiful place Nice people . Gorgeous scenery would definately stay here again . The restraunt is abit of a let down but loads of places to eat . We got around santorini by public transport which was very easy and every where we went was beautiful
We visited the beautiful Greek Island of Santorini for 5 nights in mid Sep 17. We stayed at KBH due to its location at direct beach front access. ( volcanic black sand - read rocky pebbles - beach). We paid extra for Ocean views.. what a joke. They put us in Rooms 104 /105. The standard of the accommodation was less than satisfactory for the price paid. Not good value for money. Our room 104 view was restricted by Canary Island Palms, beautiful but totally restricting view! Room 105 was worse as you had a white brick wall in front of it. If you looked sideways to the left out of your eyes you catch a glimpse of the sea!! Overall the rooms were tiny with a lack of space for anything. We paid for a double room ( don't worry a queen or king bed wouldn't fit ). What we got were two skinny single beds made up as singles and pushed together. Ha ! Not made as a double. Not much use asking either! The TV in the room was probably smaller than my IPAD. It was wall mounted. If it had of worked we would have struggled to watch it. The signal dropped in and out. We could only listen to it. !! Really tacky quality about 1980's technology. Now to the bathroom! The washbasin was opposite to the toilet. So small that you can clean your teeth at the same time with the shower being adjacent to both. You can actually do the 3 things at once. A great innovation, why don't other hotels think of this ? You can play hop skip and jump over the toilet to get into the shower. With no screen , a flimsy material curtain and minimalist base, you end up with Water all over the floor , toilet and walls. Extremely good fun if you like wet t shirt competitions. But very slippery and dangerous! The tap water is not of a drinkable quality. NO water is provided by the hotel. In Asian country where the water not drinkable complimentary water is provided for drinking/ teeth cleaning. Lift your Game KBH!! Also no room tea or coffee making facilities, yes you go to bar and pay for a coffee etc but why no basic facilities in a top class hotel ( supposedly top class) Like most Greek Hotels the sewerage system does not accept any material for fear of blockage. KBH does not provide a hose system a la Asia, or a European Bidet, but don't worry you can reach over to the shower and Gurney your backside that way, careful with the water though , you end up like a car wash. In short most if the toilets in Greece were disgusting as people are directed to put their used toilet paper in the bin. That's ok but a little off putting . With no water cleaning facilities provided why not shortcut it and defacate directly in the bin. Think outside the square KBH! Always leave the best to last. Never have I met a more rude reception and wait staff in all my life. From the Grumpy and unhappy male reception team using Green and black DOS screens, with blue and white screen accounting programs from the late 80's. Oh not to mention the Dot Matrix printers etc. For Pete's sake KBH spend some Money and bring the hotel into this decade. The wait staff were impolite, rude and generally unhelpful at breakfast and around the pool. So much so that we refused to eat at the restaurant and always found dining outside the hotel. I heard many excuses from the male dominated wait staff " long season" "end of season" , tired sick of customer 's expecting them to be slaves - no not us we actually tipped them and got into discussions with them about the situation. Really service staff if you don't want to work in a Service Industry give it up!! There were 2 good points; 1. The Barista / Bartender at the pool bar. Would mix or make any coffee etc that you wanted, generally friendly And 2. Lucia the cleaning lady. Never stopped working, kept the corridors and rooms spotless with a lovely smile. Oh I forgot the pool! Open 8 am till 6 then roped off. With a lack of children at the resort and a lack of drunks due to the expensive nature of KBH, surely a nice swim up to 9pm would be great. Even open at7am for early risers ? Why not. The summer / fall weather is awesome. In short,a bloody expensive rip off for poor quality accommodation and service in a magnificent location. We won't be back.
Superb location at the better end of Kamari away from the airport, Probably the best pool in Kamari,So much so that we saw several people walk off the beach road to take selfies of themselves in front of it!! Nice pool surround area with comfy sun beds although they fill up soon after breakfast, The whole place was spotlessly clean and the staff were lovely, As stated by many reviewers the rooms are a bit basic and the bathrooms a bit dated and small like many greek hotels, Maybe some of the greek hoteliers/Designers should visit Croatia and see how they do rooms/bathrooms! Even allowing for that we'd still stay there again for the position and the fact that Santorini is so beautiful
The location was great. Near the bus stop for Kamari Beach which made getting around the island cheap and east. 1.8 euros per trip. The staff were all very nice, outgoing and helpful. The pool, breakfast area and lobby were clean, nice and provided everything we were looking for. The down side to our stay was the room had two twin beds pushed together. I would have preferred a single full or queen size bed. Then the bathroom in the room smelled bad the entire stay. The shower had a curtain that did not stop water from getting all over the bathroom. I am 5'10" normal size person and did not have enough space to shower without being cramped. If the bathrooms were renovated the hotel would be ideal. As it is now, the hotel was nice, clean, convenient and we would come back.
Not good . Pay 700 € the price did not justify the quality we were for honeymoon we had 2 single beds as we were two kids A same morning for 5 days of stay And an elderly environment not for young people
