My girlfriend and me stayed at Caldera Romantica for two nights in a low season in May. The hotel is really nice, quite, clean and the staff, specially Marianna are really helpful and lovely people. It has a beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of santorini. Is almost 2 km far from the bus station but the staff is available to help you with the direction of how to get there or also they help you with the rent of a car. The hotel has free parking, restaurant, pool and my room had a nice view over the ocean. The breakfast can improve a little but it's OK for the price. I truly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to santorini. I would like to come back here again.
Great location clean room nice staff very helpful. The reception were very generous with their time and advice. The restaurant view and location was very nice thank you for your help. Thank you to making our vacation great
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff and management were very nice and tried to accommodate your needs. The hotel is located outside of Akrotiri at the edge of the crater and offers amazing views of Santorini. The view alone is worth the price you pay for the hotel as it is very affordable. The hotel has a wide variety of rooms, we stayed in a Junior Suite, which was very cute and fun, because you climb up a ladder to get to the nook where the bed is located. I recommend that people with mobility issues contact the hotel before booking. A room like this suite would not work for them, but like I said, they have a wide variety of rooms and can accommodate anyone. Bathrooms were a little small, but this is typical for the region. If you stay here, you should have some form of transportation, the hotel staff can help you with that. You are in walking distance of 3 restaurants all of them were excellent, the hotel adjacent to the hotel has a breakfast buffet that is included. There is a pool with a pool bar, but you may have to wait a while to get service. Caldera Romantica is a very nice small hotel with incredible views at a much better price than hotels in the same location with comparable views.
First of all, I feel that the location is really great - we had an amazing view over the Caldera from our balcony. Unfortunately, the building is built in front of a (relatively) busy road so that it can become a bit noisy when you sit on the balcony. The best about the hotel is the staff - there was an extremely nice lady working during breakfast hours - so thanks for that. The breakfast itself is ok, you can find some great Greek cookies there, but unfortunately the coffee isn't really great and only one sort of fresh fruits is served. I think you could get better coffee but that would need to be paid extra. We would, for instance, have loved to find some figs or other fruits from the island for breakfast! And by the way: Dinner is really great - definitely worth staying there in the evening! I had to choose between the rating "average" and "good" for the hotel and chose average mainly due to its relatively high price, maybe not in comparison to other places on Santorini but compared to other islands. The room was nice, but the bathroom for instance was really not that great. When you had a shower, the entire room was wet afterwards and it did not feel too clean. W-lan was extremely slow in our room, and as I said above it was a bit too noisy for our taste (there are rooms on the other side of the hotel, but they are without the Caldera view). So generally thanks for the stay!
The hotel is located on the south side of Santorini which is far from the hub but it offers quiet and serenity. It looks onto the sea and we spent hours doing nothing, sitting in their restaurant and gazing into the stunning view of the sea and the caldera. Going around is not a problem because the hotel arranged transport if you want to go to Thira or Oia. Sightseeing trips are also available and they pick you up from the hotel. The hotel has a nice pool, a restaurant serving delicious food. The restaurant staff and reception staff is helpful and warm and we had nice conversations with them. This is one way one gets to know a country. There is a sunset view point a short walking distance from the hotel and we found this to be quieter and more beautiful than the crowded Oia. You can ask the hotel for directions. It is a 5 minutes walk. I am already looking forward to another stay at Caldera Romantics.
I cannot stress more how lovely all the staff are that work here! Always willing to help and give you hints and tips about the island. Our room was cleaned daily, we had a lovely view of the caldera, I cannot fault it. If you are staying here you will need a car/quad, however the staff are more than willing to book this for you. Breakfast is cooked daily by the owner, a good variety of different Greek foods. If you are staying here you definitely need to eat at the restaurant in the evening - AMAZING food. Thank you so much to all the lovely staff and the family at the hotel, you completed our stay here.
Beautiful view to Caldera. Stunning views, nice rooms. Hotel is suitable for those who is going to rent a car during all the holidays. Weak local transport connections. Quiet and relaxing. Close to Akrotiri, Red beach, White beach and Lighthouse - for a great sunsets as well. Minus - petrol station a bit far. No shops or descent restaurants. Just one good, really close - Good Heart, you can reach by walk even.
This hotel is very from from Fira or Oia However close to one major attraction which is the Red Beach. Arrived at the hotel, the lady that was in charge seemed nice at first but got aggressive after. We wanted twin bed but she she refused to give us even tho it was pre arranged. We wanted to book a tour but again she wasn't really helpful. The hotel room itself is very nice with the bed upstairs and view of the sea. The breakfast was just average nothing special. The evening al la carte meal was pretty nice tho. Unlikely to return again due to its location.
The staff here were so friendly and accommodating- the rooms were quaint and nice! Would recommend to any visitor. The daily breakfast was delicious and any tours that we wanted to participate in they made sure to coordinate for us. The restaurant was delicious aw well!
We spent a night here. I felt compelled to say how great the staff are. They are all so helpful and obliging. Yes the room is small but spotless and the spacious balcony more than made up for it. The pool area was good and an ideal spot to chill. The food is the restaurant was amazing . The staff were superb, they were attentive, knowledgeable and very entertaining a special mention to jasmine who helped us choose our dishes and kept us amused . She is a credit to the hotel 😎
