Stayed for 5 nights with my Husband from 12 September. The Suites are in a perfect spot, so picturesque. We had a Junior Suite and it was beautifully decorated and spacious. Housekeeping were excellent, towels changed twice a day. The reception staff and our lovely driver who picked us up from the airport were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast brought every morning to our room and laid out beautifully on the table on the balcony. Fira is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the Suites, a very busy place with all the tourists from the cruise ships so we were thrilled that we were staying in Imerovigli where it was quieter but with sufficient restaurants and bars close to our Suite. We also got a taxi to Oia which is a must to visit too. One of our highlights was getting a cab to Ammoudi Bay where we had booked a taverna called Armeni for lunch which is about 5 minutes on a boat from there. The Taverna send their very own boat to collect you. Makes it very special. Fresh fish caught that day and chilled white wine....the perfect day. Also had the tasting menu at Kapari Wine Restaurant.....loved it.
My partner and I are currently staying in the senior suite. The views from the private hot tub are stunning. The staff here cannot do enough for their guests. Manos and Nasia on the front desk are wonderful and are happy to organise anything we want. Stefanos is the driver for the hotel and is such a bubbly individual who is an asset to the hotel. Marina at the hotel bar and restaurant is just a bundle of joy. More detailed review to follow....
Travellers should be aware that the name Aqua Luxury Suites does not apply to all rooms. Assuming we had booked a luxury suite, we were disappointed to be shown to an extremely small and cramped room, where we struggled to move around the bed, which took up most of the space. There was very limited storage, no drawers, and a short wardrobe, unsuitable for hanging dresses. There was no room for even a single chair and our luggage was stored during our stay, since keeping it in room would have added to our discomfort. The bathroom was also small with a corroded shower head which soaked the floor after every use. We asked to be moved but the only option offered was to move daily, which we chose not to do, although in hindsight we should have done. Breakfast is brought to your balcony on trays and in our experience the cooked breakfast was always cold, except for the last day when we were located near to the kitchen. By our last night we were so disheartened we did accept Manos's offer to move to a Superior Suite, which truly lived up to the name and somewhat saved the day. Of course the setting and views are wonderful. However, if you are considering staying here and want the luxury they advertise take great care on booking that you choose correctly and select the highest priced suite. We would certainly not have not chosen the suite we were allocated had we realised how small it was. Of course we will learn from our experience and thank Manos for providing us with at least one enjoyable nights stay.
This hotel holds a special place in my heart - mainly because I proposed to my fiancé here. There are many hotels in Santorini with Caldera Views. What sets this hotel apart from all of the others is not just the beauty of the facilities, but the quality of the service staff. I have stayed in many nice hotels during my travels - but the staff here are by far the best, most accommodating, hospitable folks I have ever met. I live in California, and I had never been to Santorini - so naturally the logistics associated with arranging a proposal made me nervous. I had emailed multiple hotels and multiple services throughout Santorini to see if they could help me set up a proposal. None were as receptive as the staff here. I emailed the hotel reservations desk at Aqua luxury suites approximately 5 months prior to my arrival to ask them whether I could arrange to propose to my girlfriend at the hotel, and this started a long chain of back and forth emails between me and the hotel staff over the next couple of months. I was very specific about what I wanted them to do - I even sent them detailed instructions about how I wanted to have our room (it was the “Grand Suite - which has a large private plunge pool with sweeping Caldera views) decorated with annotated pictures of the room from their website. Because I thought that I might have been burdensome with the amount of work/effort required to set up the room in the way that I wanted, I even offered to try to hire a separate event planner to arrange everything. However, the hotel staff reassured me that they would be more than happy to make sure that everything was arranged to my liking. They were incredibly receptive - every single email message I ever sent them was responded to in a very timely manner. This made me confident that they would be able to help me pull everything off in the way that I wanted to. They were even willing to allow me to ship decorative items to the hotel SEVERAL WEEKS prior to my arrival to make sure that they were ready to use in the future. No other hotel I came across, even the more expensive ones in the area - even came close to providing this level of service. On the day of my arrival - what was a surprise to me is that every staff member in the hotel knew who I was and was aware of the fact that I was about to propose to my girlfriend. They even personally sat down with me to go over the details of my plan so that no detail would be missed. When the time finally came for me to take my girlfriend to the room later that day, I was blown away by how beautifully everything turned out. Everything was decorated the way that I wanted, and of course my girlfriend was blown away as well. I should also mention that they connected me with a photographer named Tassos Aggelou to capture the special moment and take my fiancé and I for a photography session after the proposal. Because they knew him personally, they were able to have him enter the room before my arrival and assist with the arrangement of decorations in an aesthetically pleasing fashion for photography purposes. He was also able to capture my (now) fiancé and I’s immediate reactions to the setup since he was already in the room. Once the proposal was pulled off, we went for a photography session in Imerovigli. The pictures were gorgeous - not just because Tassos is an excellent, skilled, confidence inspiring photographer who took us to special, photogenic locations for pictures, but also because of the location of this hotel. Imerovigli provides gorgeous views of the Caldera and the Sunset since it is at a slightly higher elevation than the rest of the island. It also tends to be less crowded, and makes for better photography opportunities. After the proposal was pulled off and our photography session complete, the hotel even sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room for celebratory purposes. It was a magical day - and our stay at the hotel itself for several days thereafter was excellent as well. The staff were very attentive and timely to our needs the whole time. They were also very happy to help us whenever we needed anything - everyone had a smile on their face and was pleasant to interact with. The breakfast the hotel provided in the morning in the individual guests’ rooms was also timely, excellent and filling (in case anyone was wondering). I cannot thank the hotel staff - including Anna, Athena, Nasia, Kelly, Manos, and Thanos (hopefully I haven’t forgotten anyone) enough for going above and beyond to help me set up and execute this beautiful day successfully. They truly exemplify what perfect hospitality and service looks like in their interactions with their hotel guests. My fiancé and I will surely be back sometime to visit in the not too distant future.
We booked a Junior Suite with Panoramic Caldera and Sea view for a four night stay in Santorini. We booked the hotel transport from the airport and he was super friendly and helpful. Then we got to the hotel and started to see what most people talked about. A super professional and helpful staff. We were taken care of as if we were special guests. The guys came in to take us to our room and that is where the true fun started. Steps, steps and steps. Up, down, up, up, down, left, right, down up as if forever. Then we arrived at the room and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The view is unbelievable and there is no way a camera can capture what you are really seeing. Total unobstructed view. Location of the hotel in Imerovigli was something that we soon appreciated. Walks to Fira and a ride to Oia showed what they mean by tourist getting off of the ships. Thousands of people. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to visit the island and are really wanting a view and center proximity to all of the sights and sounds of Santorini, but also a little peace and quiet.
We travel a lot and stayed in many hotels. Infrastructure, facilities and amenities is what you choose and pay for. But what makes a difference to a holiday is when you get great, committed staff who smiles and genuinely makes you feel good right at the point of check in. I would like to make a compliment to Ms Charisshy (I am hoping I spell her name correctly) from Aqua Luxury Suite. She certainly was that person. Check in was a breeze, she gave clear instructions, provide great recommendations to restaurants, helpful towards our queries but not over serviced. She is always ready with a smile whenever we approach her and tries her best to accommodate our requests. I find that we often write about bad experiences and we don’t give compliments enough. This lady definitely deserves recognition for making our trip wonderful.
Imerovigli is a beautiful clifftop village approximately 3km from the capital of Santorini, Thira Aqua Suites is located overlooking the glorious bay formed by the ancient volcano From the start with registration, until check out it provides a superb, relaxing holiday retreat with friendly and exceptional customer service Our Junior Suite was not large, but perfectly clean and tidy with good outside space. For our ten day stay storage was somewhat limited. As with all locations in Santorini, where all hills appear to only go up, be prepared for a strenuous climb to the village facilities. Such effort is more than compensated for by stunning views, particularly at sunset
After coming from the relaxing, quiet atmosphere on Sifnos island, we weren't as enchanted with the island of Santorini with more congestion everywhere. However, our Annabel Villa helped us escape that feeling! Though there are still rooms/hotels/restaurants surrounding you because everything there is closely built into the side of the hill, it was situated perfectly to provide a great private and homey feel. The veranda view was truly the view of a lifetime...especially at sunset!!! We didn't fall into the tourist trap at Oia to enjoy the Santorini sunset experience but rather viewed it from the luxury of our own hottub and veranda enjoying our wine we purchased in town. Absolutely a memory to behold. The rooms and bath rooms were extremely spacious and lovely, but built into a hill they felt a little cavelike and with the awesome veranda and weather, we spent very little time inside. A staff member came to the kitchen located off our veranda to make breakfast per our requests each morning and we ate his awesome cuisine enjoying the view...what a treat! The food was excellent and the service impeccable. The only little negative was that there were staff members around here and there due to the kitchen and some spa service areas which was a tad distracting, but nothing to complain about. We probably just felt protective about "our veranda". They allowed us to even shower past our check out time since our departure time was later in the day. The location was close to anything you would want (mini market, shops, restaurants). Highly recommend!
The aqua luxury suites are part of the iconic white buildings cling to the edge of the caldron of Santorini. The suites are accessed through a maze of stairs built into the rock and staff take your luggage up and down to reception. Breakfast is served in your room and there is a hotel restaurant and bar on site. Both will deliver to your room and there are many restaurants and a few bars at the top of the cliff. The view from the room balcony is absolutely awesome. Several hundred metres up the rock face (room accessed from the top of the cliff not the bottom, don’t worry) and looks out over the natural harbour formed by the volcano. My phone camera doesn’t do it justice, the view is spectacular and the sunsets memorable. The suites are a great place to chill, unwind and relax. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. We are sorry to be leaving but will be back. I recommend the Aqua Luxury Suites for adults (due to its location on the cliff top I would wary of bringing small children) to relax, sunbath, enjoy restaurants and enjoy the tremendous views.
We paid 370 euro for a night at this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights. Was expecting for room at cliff with uninterrupted view. When I asked they said this is a panaromic view. How will a guest understand it's a panaromic view and cliff caldera view. Requested them to give us a to for next day at least but got a negative answer when they had room available. Overall a Well maintained hotel!!
