Very disappointed in this supposedly upscale hotel. Our VIP suite is nothing special and the bedroom and bath are on separate floors. Office service lacking for the price. Suggest you consider other options. Many steep stairs. Not for the faint hearted.
We stayed at the Belvedere Santorini hotel for our honeymoon for 2 weeks. The hotel service was great especially from Niko round the pool who knew our drink orders after the 1st day and was really good company. The breakfast was good but there is definitely room for improvement. An omelette station would have been great to create more variation. It was a little disappointing that the hotel didn't offer us anything special with it being our honeymoon, we informed them before hand but they didn't really acknowledge it whilst we were there, Overall though, the hotel is in a great location with fantastic views (a better sunset than Oia) and all of the staff are really friendly and can't do enough for you. We'd definitely stop there again.
My fiance and I stayed at Belvedere Suites in July for two weeks. Belvedere was gracious enough to upgrade us and we had a VIP suite (I forget the name now) and it was absolutely mindblowing. Probably one of the best views of Santorini sunsets ever. People talk about the sunsets in Oia but the view from Belvedere is spectacular. The rooms were clean (a little dark indoors). The only complaint would be the breakfast. It was pre-made and only available in the pool area. We ended up finding a cafe for breakfast our 2nd morning. Compared to a lot of other hotels in the area that bring you your custom breakfast in your private terrace, this part was a little lacking. All in all, a beautiful hotel to stay in and we would highly recommend it. Felt like a mixed scene of younger club-goers and older guests staying for relaxation.
There are no options for Breakfast for a vegan. I finished up having to have just fruit. No vegan options and no soy or almond milk available. Also we booked this holiday months ago but when we arrived our room wasn't available unit the following day. They did say they were upgrading us for the night but the only difference was the first room had a view, the second one didnt. It was annoying to not be able to unpack our suitcases, we had to take out what we needed and repack again in the morning so we could move. Service staff were lovely, especially the young men serving around the pool.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. We had a lovely room, but agree with others that it was let down by the cleaning, particularly of the bathroom. The staff, particularly Nico and Kostis at the pool were incredibly welcoming, fun and efficient. We were a bit surprised by orange cordial, rather than fresh juice and tinned fruit on the buffet, but otherwise the breakfasts were ok. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel, and would have given it 5 stars had the cleaning been better.
****BE AWARE - THIS HOTEL IS VERY DECEPTIVE WITH ROOMS - not all rooms are alike and you most likely will not get what you paid for. We travelled as a couple last week to Belvedere for 3 nights and booked a Superior room with a balcony. However, when we arrived we were taken to, what I can only describe as a hut/cave, off the property, with no windows, no view, and which smelled like smoke. After complaining once, we were told that all rooms were booked and that our "hut" was a superior room but they could see what they could do the next day, but no guarantee. After this, we came onto tripadvisor to read past posts only to see photos of a superior room with a balcony, and believe me our "hut" looked nothing like what is advertised and what we paid for. Only after complaining a second time, to the point where we had to argue with reception and tell them what we read about "real" superior rooms on tripadvisor did another superior room "miraculously" become available and we were offered this room. The room we eventually got was fine, an upgrade from the weird hut, but still not worth what we paid for. The balcony was not attached to our room and we had to walk down a small hallway to reach it. Would not stay here again and WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Honestly, for what you'll pay you're better off at another hotel in Fira. Pros: Great view of the caldera Common areas of the property are nice Location is great - 10 min walk to Fira and on the bus route to Oia (don't bother paying for a cab to Oia as recommended by the hotel, the bus costs 1.8 euro and comes every 20 min) Cons: Rooms greatly vary*** hotel is very deceptive with rooms Breakfast was just okay Pool area is nice, but the hotel allows non guests to use the pool if they buy one drink, so its hard to get a pool chair and enjoy the facility Room cleaning was very poor - they barely did anything (basically just pulled sheets back on the bed) Bottomline: you probably won't get the room advertised (we heard a few other people talking about this at the hotel during our stay and read more reviews on here) apparently this is just what the hotel does.... 5 star prices for a 2 star experience, spend the money somewhere else!!
Fantastic resort, terrific views and great pool area and pool staff Costas & Nico. Great location But accom options and placement is problematic and its a huge issue and that spoilt our visit. We deliberately booked a VIP suite to ensure our visit to the Greek islands ended on high note. For those considering the same accom be very aware of what VIP suite you are getting, there are Five located under the pool area, ridiculously small, a bathroom and tiny sitting room, with a tiny bedroom upstairs - hardly VIP and definitely not worth the price paid. The stairs to the bedroom are steep and small. However across the pathway there are additional VIP suites same price but three times as big, sun decks and significantly spacious and luxurious to justify the original monetary outcome. Unfortunately these were not disclosed upon arrival, and only on inquiry later at reception I was told they were not available. Not good enough, be aware.
We recently stayed at the Belvedere suites for our honeymoon. The hotel was centrally located and offered world-class service. We were especially impressed with Nico by the pool. On a daily basis he made sure we had chairs with a view and was very attentive of our every need. Both Nico and Kostis made our holiday very relaxing.
Where to begin, The staff were amazing, the hotel was unbelievable. The view from our balcony of the sunset was without a doubt the best on the island. Shopping just 5 minutes away.... From the moment we walked in we were welcomed like in no other hotel ever. We are definitely going back
This hotel is perfectly situated in Firostefani with unforgettable sunset views. Only 10 mins to Fira for the maze of shopping streets, though the steps on the way back are challenging!! Firostefani is a relaxed, quieter area of Santorini, and is so peaceful to return to after the crowds in Fira or Oia. Try to avoid these two areas when multiple cruise ships are in port. The Belvedere is a fantastic boutique style hotel with amazing staff. Cocktails around the pool were memorable with the friendly staff and great bar service. The breakfast could have been better, as eggs were cold on most days. Pool area was a stunning place to eat breakfast with the breathtaking views of the caldera and port below. Many great restaurants are nearby like Vanilia, Mama Thira, Remvi, Mylos to name a few. The Belvedere is the perfect hotel for an unforgettable holiday in Santorini. It was hard to leave this beautiful hotel.
