The location is perfect because it is the last hotel in Ioa so you do not have hundreds of people walking by your hotel. The rooms are spectacular with your own balcony ( ours had a hotter also )where breakfast is served to you each day at the time of your choice. the Chef Alex is so talented and very friendly. Eliza and Louiza were so genuine in there greetings and gave us great suggestions for places to eat. We also had room service for dinner one night which was fantastic. Worth every penny. Anna, Julie, Albina, Stavros, Giorgi, and Andreatic were wonderful as well.
We stayed in the Carpenter’s House, which was spacious and had its own terrace with a hot tub. It was hard to do anything but enjoy the view, especially during the champagne breakfast they served every day. A lot of steps, and not always with railings, but otherwise a perfect location- a few minutes walk to town, but quieter location. Lots of honeymooners- and we were in a an older demographic than was typical- but we loved it. Helpful, friendly staff.
We stayed in the Winemaker’s House at Ikies for our weeklong vacation in Santorini. Ikies is in a wonderful position, located about a half-mile walk from central Oia you have the ability to look down on Oia, avoid some of the worst crowds lounging at Ikies and ready access to all Oia has to offer just a short stroll away. But it is not just the geography that favors Ikies - the room (inside and outside) is truly spectacular, the service is fantastic and the breakfasts (and handful of other room service orders) were just great. You can’t go wrong staying here - truly one of the best experiences we’ve had and would gladly stay here again.
We were fortunate enough to stay in the "Collector House". It has two beautiful bedrooms that both include closets, baths, showers, and toilets. The Collectors House also included a living room, hangout area, and dining table. Also offered is your own personal inside-outside hot tub with a beautiful view of Oia. After soaking in the hot tub a steam-room is also included. The best part about Ikies is the amazing, breathtaking view. Fun fact: this hotel is one of the few that you're able to see the sunset from your room. If you've ever been to Oia, the sunsets are to die for and can get a bit crowded because everyone wants to see. Ikies is located in the perfect spot so you can enjoy the sunset with your loved one and also have privacy. The staff member are incredibly nice and genuine, and are wiling to help you with anything you need. The manger insures that you have the best stay and she stands by that 100%. They give you choice on what you want for breakfast every morning, and the food is amazing. They have a chief on site for room service, and the food is incredible. If you're looking for a traditional greek plate, the room service is perfect way to go. You can choose to enjoy your food inside on the dining table, or choose to eat outside on your personal patio while enjoying the view of the blue tops of OIa. The beautiful Ikies is about a 5 minute walk to the cute little village where you can find delicious restaurants, food markets, and cute souvenir shops. If you're a social bird, this is the perfect place to take pictures and get instagram worthy content. We would 100% recommend this hotel. It was such a great experience!
Amazing place to stay with amazing views. I loved watching the sunset from this Resort compared to going to Oia. The only other better way to enjoy your sunset is to go for a sunset boat ride. Place was very clean and staff is very accommodation. I spent close to 30-45 mins everyday talking to reception staff (Eliza and Louiza) planning for the following day. Very patient staff and had a great stay overall.
We were so pleased with this hotel ! The views were spectacular and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. This was our first visit to Greece and I think we will certainly return. We highly recommend this hotel.
The glowing reviews Ikies has are well deserved. Being our first time to Santorini, we knew nothing. We found to our delight, that the location of Ikies was perfect. In Oia, many places are located directly below the walkway through town. Ikies is at the end so no pedestrian traffic above you - way more privacy. And it's still just a short walk to everything in town. The rooms are magnificent (we stayed in the Carpenter Room). The patio and views are stunning and I cannot do it justice with any words (it's everything you would think from looking at pictures). The breakfast comes exactly when you want it to your private terrace exactly as you order and is delicious! And you enjoy the scenic view while enjoying it. The rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious, and have an exceptional decorating style. Ours had a separate living with couch, huge bathroom, and another bathroom/tub located on a platform behind the bed (made for honeymooners I would think). It also had a large futon, table and chairs, and private spa on the huge balcony. No, it's not the cheapest (but nothing is in Oia so it's worth the splurge). Yes, there are a lot of steps (again like the entire city so be prepared). But, one of the stand out things about Ikies which is ever so important is the staff. My luggage was lost by the airline and they wanted to see my claim report. I'll never know if they had anything to truly do with it, but my lost luggage showed up that evening! They want your stay to be perfect and they will go out of their way and do as much as you want, or as little if privacy is your goal. We arranged a car rental through them and sure enough when we landed (a day late all be it) there was someone with a sign waiting for us to show us to the car and give us the keys. For a stay in Oia, I can't recommend this location enough. You won't be disappointed.
The stay was wonderful with very friendly staff like Elizabeth. The services were utmost heart warming. For example, the Eliz was able to book cab trips in no times and even call to make sure that we had the return trip. When we returned at late night and the room services were ended, another staff whom I failed to get her name, took effort to get me some sandwiches and chips. The views were magnificent as shown in the attached pics.
We arrived late, due to a delayed flight. I contacted Ikies and it was not a problem. Our prearranged driver was at the gate and staff met us in the parking lot and took our bags to our room . We had the Fisherman room, that is on two levels .There was plenty of room and the view overlooked the sea. We had a balcony that every morning the breakfast that we pre- ordered the evening before arrives promptly at the time we requested . It was beautifully set for us so we could enjoy the beautiful view while having breakfast which is included in the price of the room . The staff will help make dinner reservations and make daily travel plans for you . We had afternoon room service of pita with hummus and Sangria , while we leisurely used the pool and sunbathed,The location is great, about a 10 minute walk into the center of Oia. It is much less congested and very quiet in this location . You can watch the sunsets from this location . I would return again and would highly recommend Ikies Traditional Houses . It is well worth the cost to have a small hotel and have staff that makes you feel right at home.
From the moment we arrived until we checked out, Ikies Traditional Houses was a wonderful experience! Great service from the all the staff!! We stayed in the Antiquarian House and it was spacious, Beautiful and comfortable for 4 people! It even had s kitchen and plenty of cooking utensils as well! We upgraded to the Honeymoon Package and it was lovely! The “patio” was also lovely and we enjoyed breakfast daily on the terrace! Highly recommended!
