We had been to Santorini many times before so we picked this hotel due to location and its great value. Honestly we were not sure whether it would be too good to be true. To our surprise it is a real gem. A massive selling point is that you access the site from the main path and there are not many many steps to get to your room. When you have stayed what feels like an eternity from the path, this is a huge benefit. It also has good views out and of the sunset, which means you can sit and enjoy the views. Our room was on the lower level but was fine. We didn't go upstairs so I cannot comment if it is better. Rooms I think had been refurbished with new beds which were super comfy. The room wasn't large but fine for the week. We don't spend much time in the room so are not too bothered about the size of the room. Plus none of the rooms we have stayed in, in Santorini are that big. The shower was good and always plenty of hot water. The place was very very clean and kept that way all of the time. Breakfast was he usual Greek breakfast minus boiled eggs, but was always tasty and fresh. It arrives at the time you request which is lovely on your balcony. Whilst you were on the main path, it was never noisy at night and we slept really well. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. We got the transfer and it was reasonable and was there very promptly. We would stay again without reservation.
Had a great time here and Panos took care of several of our arrangements. Just outside of busy Fira this hotel is right on the hiking path to Oia if you plan on doing that for your visit. Panos contacted a rental place for us and had a Jeep and atv delivered directly to our hotel. The rooms were the perfect size even for three people. Our breakfast each morning was brought directly to our room and we ate with our view.
Great location. Great breakfast. I wish there had been a trash can in the bedroom area since the bathroom trash quickly got full due to not being allowed to throw toilet paper in the toilet. This was not just this hotel, it was ALL OF GREECE! Best coffee I've ever had. Do not let the hotel arrange your trip from the airport, we made this mistake and had to wait forever and keep calling them. Just grab a taxi at the airport on your own.
Stayed here in May 2019 in the private balcony room. The view from the balcony was amazing. Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby and more if you take a short walk to Fira. Breakfast of greek yogurt, honey, breads, fruit, meats and cheeses were served everyday to our room at a time that was convenient to us. We had it almost everyday and it was plenty for two people. Best of all was Panos. He was so accommodating and was always willing to provide assistance with anything we needed. Will definitely stay there again!
Stayed there for a week (8-16 feb, 2019). When I checked in I was told there would rénovation outsized my unit. When I told the man that this would be unhealthy his response was “if you do not like that I can reimburse your money”. He knew the area was fully booked and my chance of getting another accommodation was slim. In entering my unit, the smell was unbearable, and later discovered nappies under my bed, vomits on my couch etc. Besides I was exposed to deafening noises from the the renovation for 3 days. In other words, I was put in a unit that was not fit for occupancy. This constituted a health and security hazard, and requiring legal action
Stayed here for 4 night as part of my honeymoon. The hotel was great, friendly staff and a lovely room with amazing views. Room was very spacious, bathroom could do with being a little bigger though. Breakfast was served on the balcony each morning, just had to pop down and left staff know when you wanted it. Lovely Greek yogurt, bread, meat, cheese, cake and fruit. Great set up for the day, enjoyed with a stunning morning view. Great location, nice walk along the caldera edge to get to Fira itself. Handy having the supermarket downstairs too! Staff were really friendly and booked a taxi on departure. Would stay here again, and recommend to anyone!! Thank you for a great stay :)
the hotel is very well located on the island, 10 minutes walk from the center of Fira where buses are. has no choice at breakfast, but is served at the door of the room with one of the best views of the island. the room is clean and cozy. attention to the fact that the hotel has no reception, for those arriving very early on the island have to wait until 8am. to reach the responsible. take advantage of the sunset at the hotel as the sun sets at the front of the rooms
We recently stayed at this hotel on our way to another island. Firostefani had been recommended as a nice area to stay, being quieter and less touristic than Fira. We had a rather small but nice room, with a beautiful view of the Caldeira from a sizeable balcony shared with two other rooms. We were able to continue savoring the view at breakfast, which was served on the balcony. The room was very clean, with nice linens, a large bed, a refrigerator, and a stock of plates, glasses, and utensils. It was quiet but ideally located, on the small commercial street of Firostefani, and a two-minute walk from the bus and transfer parking lot. The hotel arranged an excellent transfer service from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the port. We also had a very nice dinner on the rooftop terrace of a restaurant just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation. The value for money is great.
So conveniently close to the local bus stop. Close the very reasonably priced eateries and restaurants. Has the fanciest dinner restaurant right beside it. But the best part of its location is that it's attached to the biggest mini mart in Firostefani. The owner, Mr. Manolis, mans the reception desk. He does it with a smile. He's really friend and so is all of the hotel staff. The rooms are all newly renovated. They're clean and spacious with AMAZING views of the caldera. I would definitely come back for another visit. Thank you Mr. Manolis for a great stay.
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Mylos in October of 2016. This Hotel is in a very convenient location in Firostefani just a short 15 minute walk from Fira Town. Mind you this walk may not be for the physically challenged as it is a bit hilly with a few steps to traverse. The location was perfect for what we were looking for, quiet, fantastic view, and close to the action. The owners are very accommodating and are typically on site as they run a small convenient store which is attached to the hotel. We booked a superior double room with a sea view which was on the top floor in what appeared to be an old windmill of sorts as the room had rounded exterior walls. It was very clean with a nice bed, spacious, had a wonderful view from the room, a window you could open completely, and a shared balcony which breakfast was served on everyday. We loved our stay at Hotel Mylos and would recommend it highly. Our tip: As you walk out of the hotel, you are right on the the main walking path with several small businesses. Just across from the hotel was this wonderful little shop where we had the local coffee drink called the Cappuccino Freddo. If you have never had one, this is a must as it is cool, creamy, slightly sweet, and a very delightful way to start your day the Greek way.
