My wife, 21 year old daughter and myself ate at this Resturant not once but twice! And we only stopped in Santorini for 2 days! The owner and staff made us feel we were at home in our kitchen, sampler dishes, staff treated us to local wines, and the food was better than the so called 5 star restaurants near us. Try the Mediterranean mojito! Every dish was amazing!
We stayed for 10 nights and Dimitris in reception was superb. Great guy...he made all the difference and was naturally chatty and great craic. We stayed in the junior suite with hot tub and sea view, and we couldnt have expected more. Rooms were comfy and clean, the views (non-Caldera) were great and the hot tub was beautiful. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
I stayed at the place for 3 nights with my girlfriend while traveling through the islands and this was by far one of my favorite places. It was a short walk from downtown but ultimately the location lent for easier excursion travel pickup by being on the main road. Dimitris at reception was phenomenal in helping plan logistics, making suggestions, calling excursion companies, etc. The absolute best part was the restaurant attached to the hotel. Breakfast included, Food had so much flavor and was about a 3rd of the price than 3 blocks down the road. Also allowed you to take drinks to the full size pool, or you could go to the market across the street for beer and wine . This place truly had it all for a very reasonable price.
Out of all the trips we made, this is perhaps the most romantic, beautiful and welcoming place we have ever stayed. The hotel is great. We were there for a week and stayed in both the hotel itself and at one of their villas (Villa Avra). It was a very relaxing experience with the hut tub (which indeed was a perfect temperature). Both accommodations were very clean and picturesque. On top of the great cost-value benefit, incredible location in Oia and wonderful views, another highlight is the service. Above all, Dimitri was the best. He gave us a lot of useful information on the island, helped us with everything we needed and really made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you for this experience! Anemomilos Hotel upgraded our vacation, giving us such luxury, with its beautiful rooms, and the Villas impressed us with the magnificent views of the Caldera... Each Villa has its own unique decoration and stylish design for an unforgettable experience. Guests also have the opportunity to taste Mediterranean cuisine and, of course, the traditional delicacies of Santorini at the Anemomilos restaurant with really affordable prices. Congratulations to the owner Mr. Spyros Kokkalis! Thank you, Spyro! Νick Christine
Their food is outstanding and half the price of the restaurants with a view. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The food is flavorful and Chris was extremely helpful and accommodating. He made suggestions that improved our dining experience tremendously. Overall, if you want great food, eat here and save some money. You can also pay twice for average food, but a great view.
Everything was perfect. Location is great, just a little walk from OIA downtown, there is a market and a excursions reseller just crossing the street. The Villa is beautiful with a great swimming pool and hot tub inside the apartment. And Yiannis is great.
I stayed in the Anemomilos hotel for two nights while in Oia, Santorini. It was a very comfortable hotel, spotlessly clean with all the amenities necessary to make my stay a pleasant one. It is located at the quieter end of the main street which is nice to escape the crowds of tourist. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast as it was a very comprehensive menu that was served in the restaurant located next door to the hotel. I ate at the restaurant on other occasions and the food and service is excellent. A big shout out to Dimitris who goes over and above what is expected of him at the front desk. The information he provided for people like me who need a bit of guidance was invaluable. The hotel is not a luxury hotel, it does not look out of the main bay but it does have sea views and it is excellent value for what it provides. I highly recommend it.
We chose to stay at Anemomilos in part based on reviews, photos, and affordability. Our stay far exceeded any expectations that we had. We stayed in a superior suite which was immaculately clean, roomy, and comfortable. Our daily breakfast was so delicious with an assortment of hot dishes, pastries, and our favorite, incredible yogurt with honey, nuts, and dried fruits. We dined at the restaurant our first night and had the most delicious fresh fish we have ever had. I had seen a review here stating that those visitors had to force themselves to eat elsewhere just to try other places, but they wanted to eat at Anemomilos restaurant every night and I totally agree! Our second night we ate down in Amoundi and found their prices to be three times higher. It was a good meal, but we knew the quality and value of our restaurant and gladly chose to eat there on our last night. I only wish we could have spent a lot more time here. Dimitris, at the front desk, gave us daily information about the island and ideas for things that we could do. He is a wonderful host and made us feel so welcome. The owner Spiros and his family made us feel the same. Our waiter Chris was excellent and interesting to talk with, giving us an idea of what life is like on Santorini. Yani was so pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again and again and hope to be able to do so.
My family stayed in the hotel for six nights. Our room was a cosy and clean double room with no outdoor hot tub. We had one in our bathroom instead. This room is more suitable for couples as there is no bathroom door, just a translucent curtain. Breakfast was a good spread. The hotel is around 10 min walk to Oia's famous streets. My family had a comfortable stay throughout the week despite a power failure during one of the nights. Power was back pretty fast. The receptionist gave us a remote control key to the barricade to the carpark. For guests of room 116, there is an area, seating and dining area, near the main swimming pool, that is reserved for you. I would recommend this hotel for its location, clean room and their very friendly receptionist.
