La Fonda on the Plaza

Got a deal that was still expensive. Expected a nice, good sized room. It was smaller than most normal hotel rooms. The bed duvet was on upside down, so the strings were in our face. When we pulled it off to turn it around, we found a bunch of hair everywhere underneath the sheets. The shower was set up to be "retro" but the shower head shot straight down and only came out a couple inches from the wall. No way to get completely understand it without bumping up against the shower nob. Gross. Staff was good. But it was overpriced and we expected much more for the price we paid. I'd definitely say go some place else.

Great location, tasteful decor and designs in tradational NM style

Loved the hotel, but had pricing all over the place through Orbitz and some rooms were tiny.

The Hotel staff made our stay just wonderful. The room was very clean, the food at the restaurant was AWESOME and the location was perfect. We could not have had a better experience.

Food was fabulous, good music and dancing in the bar, hotel staff were friendly, kind and went above and beyond to help. Excellent location. Looking forward to returning!

the only reason the place was not a 5 is that they had remodeling in the lobby

We stayed 2 consecutive Mondays and had wonderful stays both times. The staff is so friendly and helpful, starting at the curb with the welcoming bellmen, easy and fast check in, delightful rooms. The recent refurbishment of this venerable hotel has added delightful local artwork throughout including the rooms. The dinners in the restaurant and breakfasts were outstanding. My last visit here was almost 40 years ago and I have looked forward to a return visit. I was not disappointed in any respect. I'm already planning a return stay.

They were doing a little remodeling by the front desk, but it was not noisy in our room, and all of the staff was helpful and nice. We had dinner there one night, and they had set up a couple of tv's for a Super Bowl party while we ate. The meal was nice, and the service, too. We would definitely go back.

LaFonda was a delightful place to stay. We found everything to be wonderful from the moment of entry into a charming lobby. The service was excellent and the food in the restaurants was tasty and very well prepared. The corridors and rooms were tastefully decorated. It is centrally located and within walking distance to everything. Sante Fe is a charming and delightful place to visit and La Fonda was the icing on the cake. I would recommend it to anyone.

The staff and room were great and the food in the restaurants was excellent! The ambience overall was quaint, warm and so welcoming. We would definitely recommend La Fonda and plan on returning in the future.

This is the best hotel in Santa Fe. Staff is helpful and friendly, wonderful restaurant, and a pastry shop that is to die for! Less than one block from the Plaza. Rooms are beautifully decorated, each one unique, with wonderful Native American art in each room. Highly recommended

Nice location. Room was somewhat smaller than expected -nice view though. No fireplace. Would stay here again. Nice front desk personnel.

great trip to Santa Fe, hotel and staff was awesome

The hotel is centrally located within steps from the Plaza. It had every possible amenity, including a parking garage. There is a daily charge for parking there, about $20.00/day, but there really is noplace else to park, and it was most convenient. The hotel's food is delicious! Try the chili relleno breakfast. Housekeeping brings guests chocolates in the evening! Fabulous place I'd stay there again!

Great hotel, beautiful, very comfortable, great location. Very helpful concierge. We also loved the pool & spa!

This hotel worked well for our trip. It was quiet, convenient, and comfortable. Parking was easy and the location was ideal.

Hotel was in an excellent location, in the center of everything. Staff were very friendly. Room was very comfortable with a small balcony and we were able to sit outside and have a glass of wine. Highly recommend for location and service.

La Fonda was a spectacular hotel with a pueblo style facade. The service was very professional yet very welcoming. Everyone was very kind and gentle. Although, we were there for just one night, we had breakfast there the next morning. The cafe served some really delicious and authentic New Mexican cuisine.

Although La Fonda is a historically attractive hotel , the rooms are small and there are better boutiques nearby that offer larger rooms and better comfort but weren't available this time. Also, the garage is less accessible than most.

The Hotel and the room were fantastic only issue with the deluxe king room was the was only a tiny dresser in the closet so we had to partially live out of our suitcases. Service and food were also excellent
