Front desk not very helpful. Arrived on a Monday afternoon. That day, it appeared that there were not many guests. We were sent to a room that was very noisy and next to the freeway. We asked if there was possibility to be moved to a room that was more quiet and maybe overlooking the pond and they said they would do it for a fee, even though most of the rooms were not being used. The room was dirty. My wife and I had to clean the floors in the bathroom. It was very dirty with dust.

I would like to mention that the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. However, I do have some concerns. About 24 hours before check-in, the hotel asked me to complete a form requiring my home address, car information (including license plate), and a copy of my driver’s license. I didn’t feel comfortable providing all of this sensitive information online. Additionally, if there is an event at UCSB and the hotel is fully booked, it can be very difficult to find a parking spot after 6 p.m.

The hotel location was excellent, and the pond was a nice feature. The air conditioner was blowing straight on the bed so it was not a comfortable sleep. The room itself was nice and roomy and felt like it had been remodeled recently.

The room smells weird, the bathroom got molds on the sides of the tub. It needs a light by the mirror where the entrance door. The lady in the dining was very accomodating, she did an excellent job, when my husband told her the pancake maker is not working she attended to it promptly and even made a pancake ready for us, she goes above and beyond and made sure all the people are comfortable, she anticipate their needs I cannot commend enough of how professional she is in doing her job the management should give her a raise coz she deserved it.
