Room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. A bit of noise from traffic on State Street but overall not too bad. Hotel is right across from a grocery store and lovely French Bakery and within walking distance of some bars and restaurants.

A really great experience. A small hotel in a fantastic location—it feels like one of those boutique hotels you see in the movies. The service is friendly, and the place is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended if you're visiting Santa Barbara with your family and just need a place to spend the night. A proper family-friendly hotel where they finally have a no-smoking policy and no pets allowed… That’s a huge plus for a lot of people like me! I really applaud their decision to not allow pets.

Clean and well appointed rooms. Pleased there was a mini fridge and microwave in each room. As there is a very nice grocery across the street with a top rate bakery and deli, the fridge and microwave made for an easy and fast breakfast.

Basic and plain but clean and comfortable. The only complaint is there was no hot water in the shower. Only slightly lukewarm. A little warmer in the sink, but by no means hot. And never more than lukewarm in the shower/bathtub on either of our two days there. I have booked through Expedia dozens (probably hundreds) of times but will think twice about doing so in the future if they do business with hotels without hot water!

We really enjoyed our stay. The check in was easy and the woman on was extremely helpful, and made a great restaurant recommendation. We loved the room, and everything was clean and very comfortable. The decor was very nice as well. The only issue was the very strong smell of what I am guessing was the cleaning products. The smell did not go away, and we had to open windows during the night.
