I have stayed at The Lemon Tree a number of times. Very pleased. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean. Amenities (shampoo, lotion conditioner are a plus. I love the downstairs units where there is a paradise-like atmosphere sitting outside on semi-private patio with accessibility to an inviting enclosed pool area and restaurant. It would be perfect if the coffee was stronger and if there was a microwave in each unit.

It has a great location. Has a lot of restaurants near by. It’s close to the Santa Barbara Mission, the Natural History museum, and the botanical gardens. The property needs some renovations but if you’re ok with staying in an older hotel then this is your spot. Personally, our room smelled a little old, paint was coming off the walls and the bed had a metal box spring so it made noise every time you moved. Other than that, it was pretty decent to stay the night. We were out most of the day either way.

Bathroom was not properly cleaned. Bathroom has mold and other people's hair along the wall. Wifi does not work on several floors of the entire building. Room 206 can not keep an internet connection anywhere for more than 5 minutes. These things may not change until old building is re done.

As a family of four travelling through Santa Barbara on a tour of California, The Lemon Tree was one of our favourite places that we stayed. From the moment we walked into reception and the helpful friendly staff greeted us to when we left the accommodation was perfect. I have stayed here a few times in past years and always enjoyed it. My recent visit was fine, the staff was very friendly and helpful, but I felt the place in general could use some updating. However they were in the process of re-asphalting the parking lot, and visible signs of painting the exterior. The bathroom amenities seemed minimal. Rather than tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner and soap, many hotels now provide bottles inside the showers with those supplies which seem nicer. Another issue for me was there was a bottom sheet and a duvet cover, which was fine, but with the air conditioner on and no top sheet, I was either too warm with the duvet cover over me or very cold without it - so I would have appreciated a top sheet. The restaurant was lovely, the food very good. I would stay here again.

I love the Lemontree inn. It’s my go to place when I stay in Santa Barbara. The staff is always Helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are comfortable and well kept and it’s in a great location. Right at the top of State Steet. You’re downtown in min. Well worth the stay.

The staff was friendly and helpful. There were some problems with the room. The fan in the bathroom wouldn’t turn off which was noisy. The box spring on the bed made noise when you sat on it

Clean, friendly staff, this hotel has maintained itself even though aging. The food options are a great value and quality, especially for a hotel. All hotels in SB are over priced but if you don't mind being away from the fray it is worth it .Service a tad slow at the restaurant but staff super friendly. Only giving 4 stars because there arent enough plugs/charging port options in the room - crazy in this day & age - and we were short towels (reserved for 3 adults, only 2 sets). Comfy beds and plenty of parking. Relatively quiet area too but walls are thin. We'd definitely stay here again.
