Buen Pastor III - The Rentals Collection

This spectacular apartment is located on the second floor of a characteristic sand stone building which faces the Buen Pastor Cathedral. The building encompasses the charming area which consists on a pedestrian layout around the Buen Pastor Cathedral and its gardens. The building has an elevator and the apartment has been fully renovated on April 2019.



The space has 3 bedrooms with two single beds each, 3 fully equipped bathrooms, two of them ensuite and a designer´s open concept kitchen. The kitchen comes with high end appliances and faces the spacious dining and living room area. The apartment also highlights for its super high ceilings. Lovely french balconies overlook Urbieta Street. It has heating for the winter months and air conditioning for summer. It also has free Wi-fi connection.



The location is perfect for almost everything: Both the best shopping area, the Old Town, bars and restaurants and La Concha beach are a few steps from the apartment. Every must in San Sebastian is just within a short walk.

This rental could have been a 10, but advertising that the apartment is air conditioned and then having only one air conditioner in the main area for a three bedroom unit is unacceptable. In addition, the AC unit was broken, dripping water constantly, requiring towels and a bucket underneath which displaced the sofa and left the wall trim warped. All night, we would hear the dripping constantly. It was clear that this has been a problem for a while, yet a service call wasn’t done during the week we were there. Lastly, the internet was spotty at best and very frustrating to use for business. Internet service was much better in the Verona unit. Fix the AC, add AC units in at least 2 of the bedrooms, ensure internet covers the bedrooms and is more reliable and the apartment is a 10.

Nice but…

We enjoyed the location and walking distance from the restaurants and beach. The views were nice and the place was clean. However, for the price… The wifi was extremely slow and unusable. The front door jammed. There was no check in during our stay from the staff. The hallway bathroom and toilet seat were broken. The shower stall overflowed every time we showered. The bathroom light remained on. The shower door jammed in the second bedroom. The power constantly went out. The upstairs neighbors were constantly noisy. The elevator was broken. Netflix was not offered (even though significantly less expensive places offer this as a complimentary service). There was no dish soap to wash dishes. There was no complimentary water (we stayed at another less expensive place that offered this, a complimentary bottle of champagne and box of chocolates upon arrival

Modern design with classic elements made the 2nd floor interior perfect. Everything in the apartment functioned perfect. High end finishings everywhere. No clothes drier, but hang drying clothes on the balconies is part of the experience. Neighborhood perfect, right on the cathedral square, a few minute walk to beach or old town pinxots. Best market in town half a block away.

This is a very well maintained, modern property in an ideal location. There was not much supplied in the kitchen or bathrooms compared with other places we have stayed but we enjoyed a great week here and would recommend to other travellers.

Clean & Good Location

Overall We Enjoyed our Stay, Loved San Sebastian! Buen Pastor III - Positives; Clean, Easy Check-In & Communication with Rental Agency, Close to Everything Negatives; Outside Entry to Building Key Issues with Lock Entire Stay. First day, we couldn't get in the building, key wasn't working so Agency ran over another set of keys, but still had issues daily. Bedding Mattress Pads have Plastic Liners & both the Sheet & Mattress Pad Elastic Bands worked their way off the mattresses every night. Pillows were so thin you needed to use several for comfort. We ended up leaving a few days earlier than planned due to all adults not sleeping comfortably on beds.

Perfect in every way

This property was in an ideal location and totally comfortable for 4 adults. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go including the bus station. It’s rare to find a 3 bedroom, 3 bath apartment and the management was very accommodating. We can’t think of one thing we would change.

Great location and clean and bright apartment.

Great location and perfect for 3 couples having there own bedroom and bathroom. The only negative was there was no condiments, such as salt and pepper and coffee. Would stay here again.

Great apartment

The apartment was very clean, spacious and well designed. It's well located, an easy walk to old town and restaurants and bars. I highly recommend it. The only complain was the lack of instructions of how to get into the apartment. We arrived late at night. Key pick up at office was easy, getting into the building was easy. But once we got inside the building, it took us a long time to figure out which apartment was our rental as there were no signs or apartment numbers posted on the any door. We fumbled around for at least 1/2 hour, going up and down different floors and tried to open every door. We finally opened a plain white door on 2nd floor (we thought it was a utility closet since it was dark inside and the door has no name or key hole) and found 2 more doors. We tried our keys again and finally located the right apartment. Looking back, we were surprised no one came out and yelled at us as we made so much noise trying to open every single door. A simple instruction note of what floor to go to, clearly marked apartment numbers/names on doors etc. will make checking in a much easier task.

Absolutely beautiful!

This apartment was gorgeous. Everything was new . The design was simple and sophisticated. The location was perfect. Short walk to beach and right in town. It was a bargain for the amount of space and perfection of design.
