The whole complex is amazing. Beautiful garden and rooftop and a wonderful location!. The room was rustic but very decent, it had a kitchenette but didn’t have glasses, but we were not planning on having it nor using it, so not a big deal for us... The staff was the downside, almost useless! Service during breakfast was simply terrible and the staff at the reception totally basic, they didn’t provide any recommendations whatsoever to maximize our time in town or get around.

Old world style with well maintained courtyard highlighted by swimming pool. A great outlet for kids tired of walking the streets. Well located a few blocks from Jardin. Attentive staff. Full breakfast included in dining room overlooking courtyard with view of Parroquia.

This hotel is beautiful snd very well located. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is à la carte and a good homemade meal. The only bad thing I can say is that we had to insist on them to give us a crib for ou son (1y old) and when we arrived they first told us that the crib was broken and then suddenly they had another one. Very strange but the staff was very friendly and most of the times helpful. All in all we did have a great vacagion and the pool is great!

Well located: 5 minutes walking distance from the main square, by nice restaurants, bars, rooftops... Great rooms with Mexican colonial charm and nice swimming pool to take sun bath Staff has been very nice and helpful. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful location with lush gardens and trees. Close to shopping and restaurants, cozy cabanas and aN old world charm. Must shop for silver items and fine China in Taxco..a nice neighbor took me for a burro ride thru town, love the cobblestone s treets and the fresh air market.

Great room with two comfy queen size beds. An excellent breakfast is included daily. Lovely gardens & pool. Loved the staff, location, & ambience. I look forward to a return visit and I highly recommend Hacienda de Las Flores to other travelers!

The staff was exceptional. Created a helpful family atmosphere that made our stay extremely pleasant. The location was perfect. In walking distance from the center of town. From the office personnel to the Gardner, all were very helpful. We will stay again.

Friends and I stayed a week in this lovely, historic inn. Our rooms (#4 & 5) were spacious and immaculate, with 'fridge, microwave, tv (who needs it here!), and excellent mattresses. The lush well-kept gardens in the courtyard and the ancient stone walls contributed to the charm. Some may complain it's not "modern", but I personally don't go to SMA for modern amenities. The Hacienda met all our needs nicely. We took our drinks up to the rooftop every night to watch the sun go down on La Parroquia. Despite being only a few blocks from the central plaza, our rooms were quiet. Breakfast every morning was prepared to order, always tasty and fresh, with lots of choices. Everyone on the staff was friendly and accommodating, and they were eager to help with making suggestions, reservations, and ordering rides. I'll definitely return.

I feel a little bad rating this only 3 stars because I suspect that most of my issues fall into the category of “what do you expect, this is Mexico!” The staff is friendly and helpful, grounds are lovely and breakfast is large and delicious. The negatives are all sort of petty but they add up. Our room had a number of problems—shower took 3-4 mins to heat up, and mid-shower (3 mins in) slowed to a trickle and stopped for a full minute before gradually restarting. The toilet stuck, so unfortunately we wasted a lot of water when we flushed and then went out for the day. Some of the outlets and light switches were inoperable and the WiFi didn’t work (unable to join), though there was another network was available in the dining room. Breakfast was tasty and served by a sweet woman, but very very slow (we suspected that she was waiting and bussing the tables and doing all the food prep herself!). That gave us more time to use the Internet in the dining room, but I’m glad we didn’t have a pressing engagement. So all in all, I’d say go in with low expectations and you might be pleasantly surprised.

First of all, this place is spotless and well kept. Don’t let the modest entrance fool you. The further in you go the more benevolent it becomes, centering around a very green and lush courtyard with a splash pool. The rooms are adequate, but old fashioned. No AC, for instance. WiFi is satisfactory. Just a place not built for the hordes of tourists and ex-pats who have consumed San Miguel. So it’s not easy to find in SM clean and respectable bedrooms at a fair price. SM is loaded with Real Estate offices and their gringo and local hawkers inflating prices for everything. 18th century streets and lanes are clogged with monster construction pickup trucks, tourist shuttles, and local Mexicans without a place to park. Just marginally safe, so be on guard. SM is a place ready to implode, just like old Cabo did. It’s the quality of life price that all cruise ports wind up paying. Hurry, SM is still very worth doing. And this I write with a sadness on off-Season.
