Romantic, quit, great mountain views. We stayed in the new, contemporary bungalows. A short getaway that we look forward to repeating. We love he restaurant and sitting by the pool without a lot of other people. We will look to return soon.
In - house planted produce we were served at the YO restaurant is the best part. Too high the price guests pay here leaves a bad taste. Also, quite a distance from town proper. Stunning décor and pool.
We were invited by friends to celebrate our anniversary. Absolute perfection from beginning to end. Breakfast was delicious. The pool was quiet and inviting, however umbrellas would be appreciated. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and beautifully plated. Drinks were generous and innovative. Dinner selections were varied and appealing. The views and vistas are amazing. A hidden gem. We will return!
This hotel is located about 15 minutes from downtown which is a great placed to eat , drink , dance and get away from the man who attend the front desk at the hotel who has a very hard time and attitude when dealing with us as we arrived with 2 kids . He’s the tall guy with a manager want to be attitude in the morning shift .
The hotel is beautiful and wonderful. I had breakfast once, and I came back to stay for the weekend. The staff very nice, the pool is great. The only issue are the connected rooms. I had the last room near the pool (41) and there is a door to the previous room (40), and every noise from room 40 is heard as it was inside the room. It was a shame our neighbors were extremely noisy until late at night (we could hear all the conversations) , and then they " performed " very early in the morning making it impossible to have any sleep. It is not the hotel´s fault what people do, but if you have a room for families where it can be very noisy, I think they should try not to put the rooms together For the price of the hotel, I expect at least to be able to sleep
The place can we say is nice? The per night rate is simple an outrage considering you cannot be beyond 11 pm around the areas of the hotel, you have a very limites menu in the pool restaurant not to say the serve Japanese but only fish, good luck to you meat eaters! The drinks are “ok” would have expected much more presentation for the price! The “heating” area to watch the stars is great, pity only up to 11 pm! The food at the restaurant is “ok” for the price I would have expected a lot more! The pool has only two working umbrellas, get ready to be cooked under the sun! The premium you pay is too high for what you get! There are much better hotels around!
I just returned from San Miguel having stayed here 3 nights and I can’t say enough of the kindness and warmth with which both the Management as well as Julio who personally took care of me, that I be looked after very well since I traveled solo... That being said, no place is perfect n one should know what respect and decency means even if things were not so favorable and reserve their comments accordingly. This is also feedback to TripAdvisor to scan comments that are severe because it’s my personal experience that this place is making a monumental effort to do their best! Keep up the good work guys and hope to return some day soon! Love from ky!!💕💞
At $250 mxn per person, the Sunday buffet is fair price for what is available. It’s bad taste, though, that they charge a 15% gratuity on the tab without asking. The best of the food are the quesadillas, the worst the chilaquiles.
Although the hotel in itself is pretty nice it has so many flaws, the whole experience becomes a terrible one... I traveled with my 18 mo and they didn’t have a crib... The service at the restaurant was mega slow every day and it wasn’t even full... The staff at the front desk is rude and careless... Definitely not worth the visit for all the other nice options available...
We just came back from a four nights stay at Los Picachos. We are a family of four, with two small children. Unfortunately the night before the last night our five year old son had an accident and he wet the mattress slightly. We reported the accident at the reception, however we found out during next night that all that was done was to put a garbage bag (!!) on wet spot. We were forced to sleep on the mattress during next night, without any cleaning being done. At our check out we were forced to pay 5000 pesos (260usd) for dry cleaning the mattress. We were told that if we didn’t pay they would call the police (something they in fact did). At the end of the day the police arrived and they told the hotel they had no right to force me pay such an amount and we could leave. When I finally paid the bill (without the mattress dry-cleaning fee) the manager of the reception told me that I was fraudulent and that I should not travel. At the end of the day, what a terrible way to finish our vacations with our small children. This is really not the way how to treat your customers and I really hope both the receptionist manager and the person in charge change their behavior radically.
