The front desk staff did not want me to get the room I reserved, she tried to gave me a different room and charge to me an extra payment if I want the room I reserved, very bad experience.

There was no air conditioner nor fan. We stayed in May which is way hot. The room was like sauna even during the night when outside was so cool and flesh. My family including 2 kids could not sleep until 4 am because of the heat. We tried to sleep at 8pm!!!! We opened the door completely to get fresh air from outside, but we only got so many mosquitos. It was our first night we could not sleep. Terrible!

Nice place, gardens and reception. it was a Cantinflás place, he lived or owned the place. I slept super well but other friends staying near the street could not sleep because of the street noise. It is a 25min walking from city center

They claim dog friendly and than try to charge $500 pesos per night for a documented service dog. No where while booking was this disclosed in their information online. Shameful.

The location of Hotel San Miguel de Allende is excellent at the entrance of the beautiful little town. One can enjoy a 15 walk to the center of the town, or take public transportation and be in the center of everything within a few minutes. The property itself is well kept, but the rooms need updating and there was no AC in the room I stayed in.

The rooms do not have AC or fans. If you open de window anyone can get into your room! There is no privacy if you open a window. The quality of the food and service at the restaurant is extremely bad. It took them 45 minutes to prepare a club sandwich when they had only 5 tables occupied, furthermore the waiter was upset all time, I could not pay with credit card.

We were locked out of the hotel for about 45 minutes Nobody was around to open the door. My husband and I along with other guests were knocking and calling to no avail. Very disappointing!! We also tried the restaurant onsite and the food was very bland and dry!

Hell on earth

I have traveled wold work and never had I encountered what this hotel did. I returned about 8:0 p. m. And the entry doors were locked and I banged on he door for about 45 minutes an no answer I am diabetic and needed to use the bathroom three other clients were also waiting and finally they opened the door with the excuse that they had a client disturbing the peace and that the police were coming, all untrue for no police ever came. They only had two employees in service. I would not have paid for the stay but I had already paid through hotels. Com. I was furious and will complain to their company. A most disgraceful treatment plus a lie. A horrible experience for a senior of 83 years

Terrible experience. The hotel is in deplorable conditions and service is terrible. No phones in the rooms, you have to walk to lobby to request anything. The furniture is very old, towels are gray not white, no tissues, no bottled water, no heater or A/C, bedding is old and bed had some bugs because I couldn’t stop itching and scratching after I got under the covers. Took good 5 minutes of wasting a lot of cold water so I could get some hot water. There must be a problem with the boiler. I would not recommend this place at all
