We stayed Sunday Feb.10-13th 2019, what an amazing location/stay! This hotel is located outside the downtown core of San Miguel. It's a short cab ride in or drive if you have a car (10 mins). It's off the beat and path however, well worth going to. We we're more then happy with our accommodations, we had a large suite with a view of the mountains and stunning sunsets. All the rooms are very different and unique. There are only 8 rooms with a small staff. When we stayed there was only one other room was occupied, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. They offer a great breakfast and you can arrange for them to make dinner if you're there at night. We enjoy walking and we ventured out to do some exploring. Twice we walked down to the main road. The road is rough but with good shoes it's only a 10 minute walk to the main road. There are a few restaurants at the end of the road. La Burger is worth the walk, SO good (burgers, steaks etc...). One day we went into the downtown core in San Miguel and the other stayed pool side. We really enjoyed sipping wine on the patio while watching the sunset. We had a in room safe and a mini fridge. It was great to have a little fridge for snacks and drinks. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. This is a small hotel with amazing and helpful staff. If you need a getaway and some R&R this is the place to go. This place is special and beautiful, I'm so grateful to have visited. Roberto you made our stay superior. Thanks for cooking us dinner the one evening and all your assistance. It was a amazing stay, thank-you!

This place was perfect, my wife and I loved it. We love to travel and this place was unique and special. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and great service by the staff (Luis, Yesenia, Karina, Samuel, Mayra and Abram). The town is 10 minutes away and you can get a taxi or uber service within minutes to go shopping or sightseeing. La Gruta Restaurant and SPA is located 5 minutes away from the resort where you can enjoy hot spring pools, massage and a great meal.

I loved this place ! Made my first time in San Miguel really memorable. The service and food was AMAZING ! Really recommend coming here ! The employees were really helpful and nice . It was really nice and beautiful!

Beautiful quiet place. The relative hi altitude location offers a marvelous climates. The breakfast is just fantastic. The only complain is about the entrance specially if you are coming from San Miguel de Allende. At night time it may be very risky.

My wife and I recently spent three nights here. It's a beautiful hotel with very nice rooms. The personnel are friendly but a little goofy and distracted. Be aware that this place is in the boondocks. The sign on the major highway from San Miguel (only about 20 minutes distant) is small, woefully insufficient and totally invisible at night. If you didn't know where the hotel is, you'd need a GPS to find it. Returning from town at night and finding the turnoff to the hotel is a serious and potentially perilous challenge. This is especially true on weekends when traffic on the two-lane highway is heavy and, as we Mexicans love to do, driving at high velocity. But if you like tranquility, this is the place for you. A full breakfast is included in the price, and it's pretty good.

We booked this hotel due to all the positive reviews on TA, but I was disappointed to find out there's a restaurant on site. I was hoping our last evening in SMA will be a time to unwind in the country retreat after 2 nights staying in the historic center (it was fun and festive with all the wedding and mariachi bands but not exactly what I would call relaxing). Anyway, upon arrival I was informed there's no restaurant on site and the closest restaurant is an Italian restaurant which is 10 min walk down a dirt road with no street lights. Fortunately, this Italian restaurant turned out to be pretty decent and we enjoyed our last meal in SMA a lot (I had quail it was delicious!) but yeah walking back to the hotel being followed by a pack of dogs were a little bit of adventure we did not anticipate. The hotel looked to be recently built by a hotelier group, which I assume they would be better equipped to accommodate guests staying on a Sat night. When I tried to order a mojito to enjoy while watching the sunset, I was informed they don't have mint. Then when I relegated to just a glass of red wine, the wine tasted off and spoiled (the bottle was probably opened some time ago). The hotel is certainly not a luxury hotel its website claims to be.

We travel this year for a 3 day weekend and enjoyed this cozy place, literally in the middle of nowhere. We had the best time. I specially remember the amazing colors of the sunset while enjoying a cup of tea, and the attention of the most charismatic chef ever. Staff is friendly buy not overbearing, made us feel right at home. The room was spacious and comfortable, it all seems brand new. We were only 15 minutes away from the city center and we spend a couple of days walking the cobbled streets. Upon return to the hotel, nothing better than soaking up in the tub and relax. Will definitely return next year!

The special amenities of this hotel were just incredible, I was celebrating my birthday last May and the staff did a great effort to celebrate. They did a romantic dinner, candlelight decoration for me and my girlfriend. Amazing rooms, very clean and awesome experience to be there. Good value.

We were recommended by close friends who are living as expats in San Miguel de Allende, we were very pleased by the customised service this small well appointed hotel is providing to its guests. Beautiful environment, full of vegetation and the view of the prairie from the common terrace is just gorgeous By night is so peaceful that only the sound of nature can be heard. Yes a couple of Mosquitos were there (nature) however they provide us with an electric gadget with blue Raid tablets. (An organic Mosquito repellent is always a wise idea in your travel suitcase) They served a very nice full breakfast every morning and have a menu available for other meals. If you are looking for a peaceful hotel faraway From city noise this is your place , however if your kind of holidays includes a city centre hotel with everything nearby Please pass on this, or otherwise bring your own car.
