Oceano Hotel and Spa

We stayed at the Oceano Inn. Great room looking over the Harbor. Very clean and welcoming. Enjoyed the fireplace wonderful ambiance for the rainy and cold visit we had in H.M.B. The Oceano Inn is in walking distance to shopping and delicious restaurants.

The Oceano exceeded my expectations and was very roomy, clean with a balcony overlooking the boating docks and distant ocean. Many restaurants were within walking distance and I enjoyed the friendly small town charm. Housekeeping is discreet but extremely receptive when I needed additional towels. I loved having the parking garage directly underneath the hotel directly accessible by the elevators.

Very nice place with a great view of the harbor. We dropped a necklace down the drain and someone came right away to get it out for us.

Good location, tired thought. Has not been updated for a long time and $380 per night is steep

Great hotel. Stayed only for 1 night. Would go back in a heartbeat.

My husband and I took our 7 yr old granddaughter for an overnight outing. We had stayed there a couple of times before so knew it was a good location. We had a very nice time. Restaurants abound within walking distance! We also had room service breakfast that was excellent and quick!! Would return and recommend.

the spa and staff were awesome worth every penny. I recommend the seaweed wrap - delicious beautiful view from room - surrounded by fantastic restaurants Half Moon Bay is minutes away for shopping and beaches available to walk and sit ans listen to the waves

We really enjoyed the room decor. The room was very spacious, the staff were very friendly. Nice stay.

Overall good experience and would recommend a friend to stay at this place

I booked this hotel to get away from the city for a couple of days. If you book this hotel, the room is not in the hotel itself, but in the inn across the way. The room had a fireplace and was very cozy. The bed is really comfy and room service prepared it very well. It's near the water and had various stores and shops inside the hotel.

This was a great location for a 2 night getaway without kids. The suite had a nice big screen TV above the fireplace and outdoor patio with a great view of the harbor. Nice ambiance for a romantic getaway. The location is amazing - walking distance to several top notch eateries: Sam's Chowder house, Half Moon Bay Brewing Co., Mezza Luna, Barbara's Fishtrap, etc. We did not try the in house restaurant, but good to know it's there if needed. Bathroom tub is very small (hard to fit two) and the mattress was a little on the soft side but otherwise the room was great.

This is more like a B&B than a hotel. Right on the bay and wonderful seafood all around you, this is an ideal location for reconnecting and relaxing.

This place was amazing so very freaking amazing. The air the area every thing was amazing and the room well lets just say that was beyond amazing. This was honestly one of my best hotel experiences. I have traveled the world most of my life and this place is magical. One of the things that I liked about about it was that it had class with out all the airs. The staff was amazing the only thing I regret about the stay was leaving. One thing to remember is that there is a fog horn that is blowing but honestly i did not hear it after the second day it quickly fades in to the background.

Clean, safe and perfect location. Rooms were big and had a separate living space with fireplace. Bar was fun and right next to fun bars and great dining!

We booked this hotel less than a week before our stay and could only secure a rather pricey suite. Ours was nicely situated on the top floor with a view of the harbor. Unfortunately it (like pretty much all the rooms) also overlooked two restaurants and their parking lots. One was a brewpub, and we were treated to pub denizens carousing at top volume well past closing time (about 1am). Then, food delivery trucks began arriving before 6, honking horns and letting their Diesel engines idle. The room itself was nicely appointed with a fireplace, sitting room and balcony. However, the satellite reception was terrible for the flatscreen TV over the fireplace; the promised bathrobes were nowhere to be seen; and there were no hand towels or standard amenities like shampoo, lotion, etc. When we voiced our displeasure at checkout we were offered a breakfast voucher...an insufficient response which we declined. Some aspects of the experience were clearly beyond the hotel's control; but more attention to detail within might have better justified the price.

The location is good. The place is decent. The staff just needs better management and training on how to treat their patrons. However, for the price, I suppose you get what you pay for.

Convenient, clean, and well maintained facility. Staff made it clear that the travel agcy did not follow their direction when booking rooms and that we were lucky to get the last room even though it was mid week. No pool, hot tub, fitness room or beach, but close to restaurants and the places we wanted to see.

Great value clean and comfortable hotel. Staff extremely helpful...

The staff is incredibly helpful and nice. The location is great, next to many restaurants and right across the street from the ocean. The rooms themselves are very nice, though it's unfortunate that the villas are the only rooms without an ocean view although they're the most expensive. Overall, we loved the hotel and had a great time.

I was looking for a special hotel on the coast for our last night in CA. This hotel is actually located in a harbor. The view is of docks and fishing boats and in our first floor room of the busy road in front of the hotel. The room was fine but not resort quality. It was clean and large and comfortable. The staff was wonderfully attentive and kind. The hotel is surrounded by lots of great restaurants. The hotel was fine but not worth the price and did not meet the way it describes itself. It's basically a Best Western or Holiday Inn near the coast.
