Initially there was a problem with our room, but the manager upgraded us to a better room. All the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The location is unbeatable. We’ve been staying at this hotel since 2012, and we come approximately once a year. Will stay here again.

We love the this hotel. The staff is delightful, rooms are large and while a little dated very clean and well appointed. Breakfast is amazing, including sitting right in front of the ocean views with coffee and eggs. And the location… Absolutely amazing!

The Inn's location was perfect. It's right along the coast with wonderful views of the ocean. Our room was clean with decent bed and toiletries. The breakfast was very adequate with a selection of fruits, breads and proteins. The availability of coffee, teas, sodas, waters was great and very convenient.

Pros: Ocean front/beach view so location is phenomenal. Walkable to all La Jolla has to offer. property upgraded a few things e.g., shower, LED bathroom mirror, kitchenette and single zone AC units per room - mostly clean. Cons: Dismissive, disengaged and almost rude front desk staff as if I should know where/what/how about the property/amenities when asking basic FAQs when checking in/any other time. Parking spots are challenging if you drive anything above a compact. Included breakfast is exact same set up as Best Westerns in a better/scenic setting, barely a con tbh. Older propert or “charming” in realtor speak, Rooms have hard to access outlets, also barely a con. Biggest con - bathroom was super small, just enough counter space for a toothbrush & toothpaste - how small? I could take a shower, flush the toilet and reach the light switch on the opposite wall without getting out of the shower.

Ocean view was amazing and staff was great. They share the balconies so it’s weird to have your window open with strangers standing there. The room was also below the top viewing deck so you hear chairs being pulled across the ceiling space and drinks being dropped. Breakfast was really good and room super clean.
