I reserved a room with 2 queeb beds a month in advance. When i arrived at 10pm they gave me a room with only one bed. After advising them of their mistake i was told there were no other rooms available, that I had no choice and should speak to the manager in the morning. The attendant also told me that i would have to prove to the manager that i booked 2 queen beds (this was not hard to do since it was in my booking confirmation), but the insinuation that i was being untruthful was offputing. This was the classic overbooking scam. And since i arrived later in the evening my group was the group to pay the price. No compensation for their error either. Also, air conditioner did not work. Hard to sleep in a hot room.

The amenities described were not accurate, i reserved 2 rooms. On one of them the E.lock kept getting stuck. Absolutely not worth $250 a night per room

Old, Bad front desk employee's

Started out bad, at check in they gave me a key and room number that was already occupied. Had to go back and request a different room, Card key they gave me for that room didn't work had to go back again. Every day it seemed I had issues with the room key, dealt with 2 different employees at the desk they never once asked for my name or id they just reprogramed the card key to the room I said i was in, The room was clean bed was comfortable. First hotel I have had in sometime that had zero USB ports. Shower was small old cracked and had no hot water any time of the day. The toilet lid was loose so when we sat down it moved. Just needed to be tightened. Wanted a cheap clean room centrally located to the zoo, beach and sea world. If the shower had hot water and the card keys would have worked. Would possibly stay again next time. Price was reasonable. But with the issues wont use Howard Johnsons again. (No elevators so keep your bags and coolers light or request a bottom floor)

Not worth it.

The young woman at the counter was very nice even though I had to take several trips to the office. First, the key cards kept failing, we didn’t have enough towels and wash cloths, and the comforter had holes in it. The TV didn’t work, bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and AC wouldn’t cool down the room. As far as breakfast, the only protein option was boiled eggs and the poor lady was working hard to try and keep coffee in the room, but it was constantly out.

Great place to stay at a reasonable price!

This is a great hotel near Mission Bay that we enjoy staying at. Friendly check-in staff and the rooms are comfortable and clean and the parking is great! And they don't charge for parking!

I didn't like that they only clean your room every three days unless you request it. Also I asked for clean towels and they were left on the chair and the dirty ones were left on the floor in the bathroom.

You get what you pay for

Over all it was fine. I got what I paid for. The only really issues I would say were the fact that they only had cleaning services every 3 days so our trash piled quickly which required me to have to maintenance and I'm not paying to stay somewhere where I have to take care of those things during the day. Also, the worker who handled the Continental breakfast was SO rude. Two mornings ina row she was rude to me. This place worked for what we needed it for but we won't ever stay there again

Dry blood on bed

They had dry blood on the bed skirt, and mattress. Big red stains on carpet. Roaches dead and alive. We couldn't open the doors to the rooms, Everytime we came back we had to get new keys. The staff was nice at the beginning but when we had to come and fix the keys, they got rude. We asked for a joining rooms when we got there we were told they don't have any. My sister in law and I have problems with our knees and we were put on the second floor, even when we told them were going to have problems with the stairs they still put on the second floor. I will think twice about using your site and never at a Howard Johnsons.

This is an old run down property. There is no housekeeping at all. The pictures on line are not at all waht the rooms look like. Old, dingy and poorly lit.

This property is cheap and in open area, you have to walk to your room, its unsafe to walk up to your room if you land in night, they donot open the reception door after 9PM which is weird, limited breakfast with lots of crowd. They donot have drinking water facility everytime you have to beg them to open the breakfast room so that you can fill your water bottle. Lots of Cheap people will be there. Overall its not suggested for familiy person. They donot clean room everyday. Limited no of towel you have to used for 3 days. People on reception donot at all smile and donot speak good english. Seems like they are frustrated working their and their frustration is coming on the customer and guest in the hotel, they donot support easily for anything.
