always enjoy staying here on the river front! best location for the money. suites here are great for family gatherings. riverview rooms are the way to go...don't book a room on the street front.

The experience was terrible from the start. The only access to the "resort" was thru what looked like the back door which stays locked at all times & no one was available when we arrived to let us in. Finally a cleaning lady who appeared to be on a smoke break saw us & decided to let us in using her access card. I guess if the check in desk wasn't on a different floor than the entry floor this wouldn't be a problem. Once we finally checked in & was shown to our room we discovered that the king bed studio we purchased online AND had a confirmation for was not the same room we were given. We were then told that room wasn't available because it must always be available for the person who owns it as a timeshare IN CASE they decide to come. So I'm dumbfounded as to why the room is even advertised then??? As compensation for the mix up we were given several discount coupons to local restaurants & theme parks. We were also supposed to be added on to a seminar for Saturday morning #which I was charged a $20 deposit for# where we get a $125 Visa card afterwards only to receive a call that morning to say there was no more room in the 9am session THEY signed us up for but we would be on standby for a later one that day... we never received that call. The room was not cleaned although we stayed two nights & when we asked for more towels after the first night, they were placed on the end table in the living area instead of in the bathroom. The room overall was subpar, I would rate it on the level of a motel or MAYBE a one star hotel. There was dirt & stains on the walls, caked-on dirt in every corner especially in the bathroom and water stains on the ceiling. I CAN NOT believe the Wyndham brand would put their name on an establishment such as this and I will NEVER stay at that location again.

Just a few steps from Hard Rock Cafe, Rainforest and all the fun places at the Riverwalk!! Beautiful view from our room... Sorry we could not book one extra night!!

I liked the size of the hotel everything was great u mean the location is just awsome!!! Walk everywhere no need to drive!!! The rooms are very covinient! Just needs a pool lol

I do not recommend hotel. Bad location, no parking, no pool, they do not clean your room until you leave. Next to a bar and could hear music until 2:30 am

It was great.. Close to everything.. We had a great time... The restaurants are close, night life was good..

It needs a pool. I enjoy the room. I didn't know I had to make a deposit when I arrived to the hotel.

Everything was wonderful. A very good location for enjoying the Riverwalk.

I just got back from spending 4 nights in the WyndhamVR. I enjoyed my stay as the room was clean, in a great location, and the staff was very helpful. I especially liked having a small bedroom separate from the living/dining area. I would definitely stay here again. Now the minor negatives. The bed was harder than I liked (personal taste). The washer/dryer didn't dry. Lastly, I wasn't aware that the hotel was part of a time share chain, and I was a pitched a time share by one of the staff on the phone. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying. I had no problems with noise as some of the other reviewers complained. Overall I was very pleased with this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again.

This little time share/hotel was lovely. I have stayed at many hotels in San Antonio but none matches the charm and authenticity of San Antonio like the Wyndham Riverside Suites. The staff upgraded our room to a riverview and it was beautiful. Not exactly on the river but within steps of the most populated area and restaurants on the river. If you get a chance, definitely chose this location- we will from now on.

This is an older hotel with lots of character. The view out our windows over the Riverwalk with Christmas lights was fantastic! Parking is a walk and loading/unloading is on the street. It is a great place to stay!

The hotel is very comfortable and the location is excellent. It is close to food and shopping as well as the Alamo. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful.

It's not really a hotel. It's a time share. All of the rooms are 3 room efficiency type rooms. They're very clean and everything is there, but the hotel is very old. Furnature is old, the hallways are very narrow and very little offered in the way of condiments. A comfortable room, but not worth the big bucks they charge.

This place was perfect. I have a 19 month and the room was spacious enough for him to run and play and not disturb the rest of the family. It was close to the river walk and other activities and we never had to drive. I will definitely be back!

Amazing location for the price! Hotel was very clean, staff was super nice, door security guard was awesome too! Parking was a short distance away, we actually drove around the block a couple of times trying figure out where to park. We ended up not needing the vehicle after we parked because we were so close to everything!! We would deffinately stay here again!

The hotel's location on the Riverwalk was great, and the room was fine, considering that it was a very old, historic hotel, but the staff and service left much to be desired, the parking was ridiculously inconvenient, the extra security deposits were excessive, and worst of all, there were two bars directly under us and we had to listen to drunken revelers until 4 in the morning both nights.

Not good - rundown, no food or gym.

Traveled the riverwalk and attended the Alamo Bowl game.Beautiful accomodations, quality suite with great amenities and very well-decorated. Staff was courteous, helpful, professional. This fun location right above the Riverwalk was well-priced, and well worth it. We would definitely stay here again!

walk the riverwalk,shop

I was in town for a convention which was on the other end of the riverwalk at the convention center. I liked being on the opposite end though because my hotel is near all the hot spots of the riverwalk and downtown san antonio.
