When I checked in and went to my room. There was a hanger on the door that read “hang on I’m busy “. I did go into the room and it was either occupied or not cleaned. The lights were all on, sheets and towels everywhere. I understand these things happen but when I went back down to the front desk and told the employee, she questioned if I really went into the room and it was occupied or dirty. no apology nothing. I understand these things happen but not even apology? That’s poor customer service.

The only thing we liked was there was shuttle service to the airport. This property does not have the same standards as all the other Holiday Inn express hotels do, they are our favorite hotels in other cities. We are a holiday inn points member, so was very disappointed. The hotel is very rundown, and an older hotel with no visible upgrades. The sofa bed was broken, so our boys had to sleep on the floor, which was dirty. We will not be staying here next trip to SLC.

Staff was wonderful. Still pleasant when I rolled in at almost 2 am. Quiet and convenient to both Amtrak and the airport (they have a free airport shuttle). There were a few signs of wear on lobby furnishings, but the bathroom was sparkling, looked recently redone, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was good, and everything scrupulously clean.
