Overall a very nice stay, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, water pressure good. The AC was not working when we first got to the room, made a call downstairs and they sent the technician up right away who was able to fix the thermostat. Had to call again 2 Days Later because the heat was not working, when we returned to our room after being out for a couple hours there was a portable heater plugged in and turned on and was left there for the remainder of our stay. Although the shower water pressure was good, there is only small 1/3 door which did nothing to keep the water in and after every shower, there was a big puddle on the bathroom floor and toilet lid was always wet. Had to put towels down every time and still step onto squishy wet towels, yuck! We had a discount on the parking as part of a group rate, but considering the nightly rate we were paying, we felt that the parking should have been included. Elevators are a little rickety and old. Front lobby area nicely set up and roomy, conference room available to our group was instrumental in giving our team a place for meetings/ bonding time.

The hotel room is outdated considering that the location is in downtown SLC. The room is not that clean. Pillows are so flat. I don't think I will stay again in this location.

Great price for all it has to offer.

The room was clean. It had a great view of the SLC Valley. Conveniently downtown, so you can walk to anything or jump on the free tram (free for a short distance anyway). Great service. A microwave for leftovers would have been nice. They have both self-park and valet parking. Having Temple Square only a 3-minute walk away was really convenient for our Music and the Spoken Word responsibilities. We'll, for sure, stay here again. Highly recomended.

While the hotel is located conveniently and appears beautiful, we had a nightmare experience. After checking in and quickly dropping off our things before heading out to an event, I noticed our bathroom trash had not been emptied and we only had one towel, but decided to not make a fuss as we were only staying one night. We stopped by the room again briefly around 7pm to change for dinner, and I called down to get towels, and got no answer (phone just rang and rang and rang). We arrived back at 10:30 and spent an hour or so watching tv. Around midnight we went to get into bed, pulled down our sheets to find a women’s underwear and socks! The worst part is that the bed was neatly made as if housekeeping did it. They sent the wrong sheets to us, didn’t include pillowcases or a comforter, and then when we went down there to get the correct things, they offered to move us to a SOFA bed. We changed the sheets ourselves and will not be returning to this property

Disappointing stay for a lot of money

Upon arrival, we were given the wrong room number and had to go back to the front desk to get the right room. It was fixed, and I understand it was human error, but still annoying after a long day of travel. The room was ok, not as big as we expected. One of the worst was the barn door bathroom. It gives ZERO privacy. The automatic lights kept shutting off and on in the bathroom. The TV remote didn't work, and the TV seemed to struggle to connect to the internet. The wifi was nonexistent; even as a BonVoy member, it was so slow and would time out. We did eat in the restaurant one time, and it was a good experience. The room was either too hot or too cold with no airflow, so it got stuffy very quickly. The second night, we had someone bang on our door at 1:30 am and wake us up out of a dead sleep, which was terrifying. We called the front desk and told them, but there was no follow-up from management or anyone. The location was great for the convention we were attending, but overall, we just weren't wowed like we have been at other Marriotts. Probably won't stay there again despite several planned trips back to SLC in the coming months.
