Our 2 day stay at Capital Inn & Suites was not too bad. They are still working on the renovations, so there is still the sounds of construction, ect. There are no amenities (sodas, snacks, ice) available. In order to utilize microwave ovens and refrigerators, ya gotta bring your own stuff. No coffee makers are provided either. But they are slowly working on it.

Was just ok. This motel was just recently renovated. Not all work has been completed. Main lobby is virtually empty. Not even a soda machine. The administration even imposed a 9:00 pm curfew on any non paying visitors. But the beds are comfortable! Since the Capitol Inn is the least expensive in town, it was bearable. excessive deposit

Do not go here!!!!! My husband needed to be in Salem for work. The pictures look like a nice enough place. They got into the room and found that the AC didn't work properly. There was construction being done. There were bugs everywhere. There were cockroaches!!!! I didn't even think we could have those in Oregon. Oh yeah.... the best part was seeing the hookers show up with their "friends".

My stay was overall very disappointing. The receptionist was the only one working that night, she was very polite. The problem was with the room. We walked in and it felt like a sauna! The AC unit was very old and didnt work well, the dial spun in a 360 degree circle and didnt specify hot or cold. When the dial did finally click and it started to run, it only blew hot air. Eventually we got it to blow air that wasn't hot, but was still very lukewarm. Our tub had a crack and the floor in it sunk a little and you could see a small hole. Everything about it was just terrible! For the price I could've spent the night somewhere much nicer.

The manager is ok.....he has helped me out in my time of need and I thankyou

It was dirty, hot, uncomfortable and stinky. The floors were not cleaned. The sheets had stains. The wifi didn't work. At least the night guy was totally cool.

No mini fridge microwave or coffee maker in the bedroom. There was a Band-Aid stuck to the bathroom door. There was no hairdryer built into the bathroom wall. There was no ice machine in the whole building. The whole place smelled like cigarettes. I checked out a day early and spent the night with a friend my last day. I will stay somewhere else next time. However in fairness you pay for what you get. I only paid $111 for three nights. Always keep that in mind

The bathroom doors handle was held by duct tape making it near impossible to close the door when using the restroom. No microwave, fridge, or trash can in the room and when we asked if one could be brought in they said no. We had go purchase black trash bags because they couldn't provide a single trash can. I would never stay here if I could help it. Staff is super rude too.

the photos of the rooms posted on line must have been from a room that was never used . the motel is in a bad part of town on a dead end street. the condition of the lobby and rooms are very poor and the outside doors were not locked at night anyone could just walk in. no security personnel on sight that we could see. we will never stay at any americas best value inn ever.

Smoke alarm had been pulled from the room. Queen beds were places on a double bed frame. So the bed was saggy around all the edges. You could not sit on the bed. For the last foot just sagged of due not the wrong size platform or box spring for the bed. I tripped on the sagging and loose carpet in the hallway. Outside our window was I-5. So there was trash all over. We stayed as it was the cheapest we could find. Very clean for what they had. Baby crawled all over no problem.

I asked for a non-smoking room and I was given a smoking room that reeked of cigarette smoke. I didn't complain to the front desk because I knew I wasn't going to be in the room long but the smell lingered on my luggage days after I left. The air conditioner was a joke and could not be adjusted because the knobs were gone. What was worse though, I got up to use the restroom in the middle of the night and when I turned on the light there were several cockroaches crawling in the restroom. In the morning, a cockroach fell from the ceiling when I opened the door to the restroom.

we won't stay there again, it's an old place... no more to tell to get the minimum text lenght of this review

I stayed for a little less than a week. Very quiet, which was so nice, so I slept comfortably. I would stay again, as the location is good and the price, too.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Door locks not very good and they lock up at dark and the doors will not open. So I got locked out and had to wait outside until the attendant got back from his break. Weird!!

Over all my stay at Americas Best Value Inn was acceptable. There was a nice man at the from desk named Jimmy that had great customer service, quickly attended to my needs and answered all questions positively.

It was an interesting stay. Some staff are nice most are rude and stuck on their phone. You get what you pay for..

We never had clean towels in our room. Our beds were never made. The front desk personnel was never available to speak with. The front entrance door was always locked, had to use a side entrance. We were very dissatisfied with this hotel.

Old, unkept. From the signs and spiral notebook kept in the lobby, this indicates that this motel is used by transients and people who need to stay by the hour. On the upside, the staff was friendly, the room was cheap and there was frequent police patrols.

I made the reservation and specified late check in since our flight had a late arrival, we needed to rent a car, and drive 45 miles to get to the motel. When we arrived we were told there was a convention in town and our room had been sold. Not finding another vacancy in the area, we drove another 20 miles before finding lodging arriving there at 1 am. Shame on you!! p.s. I had to complete the rating to get this review posted.

The cigarette smell was every where. Rooms were clean but hotel needed an upgrade. The hotel closes the lobby after 10pm.
