This hotel was well located but basic and smelled funny very dated and quite run down I was surprised at the level of decay. Staff were very friendly and helpful breakfast not great but basic and ok bar shut very early
The hotel is a 10 min walk from where you want to be, and close to a nice park. Reception staff are helpful and welcoming. The lounge area is attractive. The room we were given was a modest size, and lacked light or colour. The room bore little resemblance to the bright colourful, website photos. Make sure you look at your room first, (and note the noise the elevator makes when getting there.) We were unhappy so went to reception to see what were the alternatives. They were very helpful, and showed us a bigger, brighter room, with a terrace ( the only one in the hotel), for an extra €10. So far, so good. However, the room was close to the noisy lift. Every time the lift moved, there was a "boom", as the motor engaged, and the the noise of the lift moving. Sleep was disturbed from 7am onwards. This is heard by many rooms. Get a room at the extreme end of the hallway. Getting to the hotel was very difficult. The signage to the hotel is minimal. The hotel is off a very busy four lane ( two each way ), one way system. If you miss the narrow turn, you are forced back to the one way system, and it is over 1km to get you back where you were. The signage is dire(see photos). The hotel should do far, far more. Add to this, poor, sometimes unusable, wifi.
Elegant, clean, comfortable, friendly. Greeted in lobby with fresh orange water and mint water to quench a travelers thirst. We had a mini-suite with large bed in one room for two and a sofa bed in lounge area for third guest. Corner room had a desk, huge closet, safe, lots of space around bed, two windows. Bathroom was very large with large shower, no tub. Breakfast 8 euros per person was extensive. Only disappointment was over-cooked scrambled eggs but staff was nice to cook a plain omelette for one in my party. Highly recommend.
This was a good hotel located 8 minutes walk from the main square. The room was comfortable and after a pretty sleepless night on a bunk bed on a ship, we were delighted that the bed was large and very cosy! There was no restaurant on site but lots in the town. The breakfast was self service with lots of choice. Would have liked to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room though
I really loved this hotel. On arrival, the lady on reception was lovely, so helpful and pleasant, in fact all staff were. Already having stayed in 4 hotels in this trip, this was the most friendliest. Its located only a 15 min walk into the main city. Couple of hills to negotiate there and back, but ok. The hotel has underground parking but is limited, there are a few spaces outside around the hotel. We were allocated a lovely spacious room on the 3rd floor. Very well decorated, modern and well equipped, including a KETTLE!!!!!! Thank goodness, typical British thing, but we do like a tea in the morning. We wish all hotels in spain would supply a kettle. So big bonus. Air con, safe, lovely bathroom and great black out blinds with a quirky design on. Bedding was duvets again, great! And the bed, was one of the most comfiest of the trip. Didn't want to get of bed. The reception area downstairs is great to go and chill with family and friends, order a drink or just have some of the free lemon water on offer. Again the staff couldn't be more helpful. The only reason i have not given the hotel a 5 star is because of the lift, it can be a little noisy if your room is nearby like ours was. On the first night, a coach tour turned up and left very early in the morning. They were not the quietest of people and the lift was non stop. So if you want a room at this lovely hotel, just ask for one away from the lifts. Opposite the hotel is a lovely park to escape the city. This park is beautiful and new facilities are being installed there, such as a fitness area, duck pond and picnic area. Theres also a lovely little ice cream and coffee shop right in the middle. I highly recommend a walk through this park. In all i would give this hotel a 4.75 out of 5 if i could, and will definitely come back. Great stay, lovely people
+ convenient location near the Salamanca centre + quiet neighborhood + clean and modern room and bathroom + comfortable bed and pillow + friendly staff + excellent breakfast offered at a very competitive price
This is a great place to stay in Salamanca. Located within walking range of the Plaza Mayor and Cathedral, very modern, room spacious and very comfortable, bathroom luxurious and sparkling clean, it has a safe, good WiFi, breakfast is excellent, it has a garage in the basement that is very convenient but quite tight to maneuver. Staff corteous and helpful.
we chose this Hotel from Trip Adviser reviews. When we arrived we were informed the Hotel had changed ownership and was now part of EXE. Things for, location it is an easy walk to all the main sites. The room was comfortable with a king size bed, nice bathroom with lots of toiletries, good reception staff especially Angel who speaks many languages. Free Wifi, hair dryer and a mini bar. Against the window blinds are a bit to arty farty and do not block out the light, there is a flat screen TV but you cannot get any English speaking channels, the room safe is over complicated, some noise can be heard from other rooms, the towels are a little on the threadbear side and need renewing. You have to ask how the aircon works. So some work for EXE to deal with. There is garage parking at an extra charge of €15 but worth it. If some of my points are addressed I would definitly stay here again
Our family of four from Australia stayed here for one night and enjoyed the location of the hotel, the price, the comfort and cleanliness. It was about a 15 min walk to Plaza Mayor, lots of interesting monuments and good restaurants. The family room had four comfortable beds and it had a modern, clean bathroom. The room was very hot (it was cool outside ) even though we had no heating/cooling turned on. At least we were able to open the windows for fresh air but then heard some neighbor hood noise in the morning. The parking was easy and a reasonable price.
Going to Salamanca for business i always stay in this hotel . Well located, nice rooms and a very usefull parking. Kind personel. Never tried breakfast. I Will definetly ho back to this hotel in other occasions
