enjoyed my stay in St. John. Hotel centrally located. Indoor walkways to most sites in downtown area. Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous.
This hotel is directly attached and opens directly into to a low end, multi story mall. One side of the hotel overlooks the LOUD fans and climate units that power the mall, the hotel, or both. We asked for and received a prompt room relocation. While functional, the hotel furnishings and decor is well past its expiration date. Saint John is an industrial city. Would not return.
We enjoyed our stay here very much - great room, easy to get around city - great restaurant (we had breakfast) - very reasonable rate.
Our room was close to the elevator, which made it feel like we were rooming right over a subway. Every time the elevator would pass, we would hear a very noticeable swooshing sound. Turning on the AC fan helped drown out the noise. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice, clean, and the staff helpful.
Convenient to the shopping and restaurants of St John. You need to pay for parking.
I was surprised to see a four star hotel for this price and essentially it was 'up to snuff'. Location could not be better and loads of good food, coffee shops and shopping is right near by. We did not test the in-house food and it was a brief visit. So long as the price holds this will be our hangout in St John.
was good in up town everything was around was good in up town everything was around
Great stop over on our trek from Montreal to Cape Breton!
i got there at 3;00 pm but i did not get my keys until 3;30 cuz they had a problem withe there credit card machine so after a long time the accepted to get cash deposit
Arrived after riding the ferry from Digby and located the hotel fairly easily, considering St. John can be confusing to get around. Young guy at desk was friendly and clear about parking details ( free on weekend). Room was very nice, clean...bed comfortable. Nice location for a walk in the park up the hill. Tim Horton's across the street. Only downside was breakfast options. Adjoining cafe had exorbitantly priced buffet, McD's in the mall didn't open until 8 AM. Overall, a good stay, though.
It was one of the nicest rooms I have ever had the pleasure of staying in!
Having traveled for two weeks around Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, my group was thrilled to have this hotel as our send-off back home. The staff was so helpful and friendly and the hotel was lovely - right on the water with a beautiful view. Easy access to shopping, restaurants, theatre and sightseeing made the visit even more enjoyable.
excruciatingly long waits for check-ins, nickel and diming over parking and breakfast, scripted/impersonal service - all these things add up to a pretty frustrating experience for the average leisure/vacationing traveler. the rooms are fine - clean and tidy and well-sized, but the overall experience at the Chateau (a 3 minute drive from downtown) was orders-of-magnitude more satisfying.
This was a business trip with many other business partners and they all enjoyed there stay at this hotel.
On the road from Boston to Halifax, Saint John is a good more-than-halfway stopping point. We stayed here last summer as well, and though it is not fancy, the hotel is centrally located right downtown with free parking. We stayed here before, and we'll most likely do it again.
As good as it gets. Would have paid extra for included breakfast
Little shopping (soon lost interest) little dining (great breakfast, not so for dinner) little sightseeing (downtown very compact)
Wonderful hotel, however, St. John was too quiet. Not much going on in the area. It appeared that since it was off season,we were there May 23rd to 25th, most of the stores, restaurants and activities are not open, which of course, made St. John, New Brunswick not very interesting besides Reversing Falls.
The Delta Brunswick was very comfortable. The room was a double room with a TV, the only drawback is that we could not see the Harbour, the hotel was very close to shopping and the harbour, restaurants were very close, all in all a very good stay.
