Budget hotel but Really Great Staff!

The Hotel was a little off the beaten track but affordable. The staff were great which made what is otherwise a budget hotel enjoyable. The kitchen for the evening time meal had recently closed when I arrived but no problem in putting me snack together of quiche and salad. Thank you!

Kryiad - Geneva

A well-priced hotel about 5 km from CERN. The area immediately around the hotel is more or less commercial/industrial, but there's a large grocery store a short walk (about 400 m). The staff were very nice and helpful. I would stay there again, but don't recommend it as a place for those who have to go back and forth to downtown Geneva frequently. The hotel rooms could use some updating, but everything in the room was more or less functional. For example, the WiFi did not work very well, but was adequate most of the time. For a budget-minded traveler, the Kyriad makes a lot of sense, especially if you have friends and family in the area around Saint Genis-Pouilly, which is growing like crazy.

Not up to previous Kyriad facilities.

Have stayed at 3 previous Kyriad facilities in the last 2 weeks, all were of a good standard. Expected this one to be of a similar standard, alas it is not. It is tired, the hallway smells of stale smoke and is musty. The floor in our room was wet. Air con only heats,, it was a hot day and the room needed the cooling of the unit. Have booked to stay here in another 5 days but will be cancelling. Kyriad organisation needs to review the use of its name as it is a poor reflection of them.

reasonable hotel in France near Geneva airport

This is an basic two star hotel near Geneva, but as it is in France the rates are much lower (even allowing for the SwF/Euro exchange rate. It is also convenient for CERN.

No frills but a good place

This hotel is no frills and simple. But things work fine, and comfortable and clean although simple. But for the area and the price it is well worth it, but you do need a car to come and go, and there was no problems parking on site. If they could add a fridge the rooms, that would be better.

Don't expect too much from your stay, this hotel is old, not super well maintained, non-smoking rooms smell like they've been smoked in. The person at the front desk was not welcoming at all and barely answered our questions.

Great hotel

Out of all the hotels we stayed in over the last two weeks, this is the only one that had coffee in the room and it's amazing how a little thing like this, made all the difference to our stay. Lovely room and very comfy bed.

Kyriad Geneve is nestled at the foothills of the beautiful mountains in a scenic environment that is quiet and pleasant. The staff is highly professional, courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean, their size ample and the beds are very comfortable. The wifi is strong and available without an extra charge. The cable subscription has channels in several languages, including English. It is not in a crowded location with many restaurants nearby so the hotel's dining room/restaurant offers three-course meals with a variety of choices on the menu. Kyriad Geneve is a very special find and far superior to other European hotels where I\we have stayed at this price. We will definitely stay there again.

I was a little apprehensive to stay after reading some other reviews, but it wasn't too bad. The room was cleaner than expected although the floor was covered in dog hair from a previous guest so I'm not sure that it had been hoovered. There is barely any lighting in the corridors, but the room I stayed in wasn't dingy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was as you'd expect. It's fine if you're there just for a night or two, although I thought it was expensive for what you get.

Barely Serviceable

Pros: fairly clean, deep though short tub if you like to bathe, not too far from the Geneva Airport Cons: thin walls and doors, noisy, tiny, crowded room, closet too close to bed to open doors for luggage, weak and intermittent wi-fi signal, grout missing from in between many of the tub enclosure tiles.
