This is a lovely little hotel in a great location. All the main landmarks are within walking distance yet you can come back after a day of sightseeing to the quieter Trastevere where there are lots of restaurants to choose from. We received a lovely warm welcome from our hosts and the room was perfect, everything that we needed for a couple of nights away. Would highly recommend and would definitely return here if visiting Rome again.

This property is on the 5th floor of an unmarked building on a busy street. The owners are friendly and very helpful. We only stayed one night before heading on a cruise and they helped us arrange for a shuttle to the cruise ship terminal. Our room faced to the side of the busy street with large windows and a pretty view. The room was quiet except for occasional traffic noise which quiets down overnight. It was very clean and spacious. There was free coffee and tea provided along with a few snacks like cookies and crackers. Great value for this location which is walkable to many sights. Would not hesitate to recommend or stay here again.

Window on Rome is perfectly situated for anyone wishing to explore Rome. It's a 15 minute walk from major sites and surrounded by lovely restaurants and bars. Our hosts Renato and Luigia were perfect and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Their suggestions for restaurants were spot on - thank you for booking my special night out (big birthday). They arranged taxis to and from the airport which made life a lot easier (although you can get there by public transport) and looked after our luggage while we enjoyed our final day in Rome before the evening flight home. The room was immaculate (cleaned daily) and has wonderful views across Rome. There is also a roof terrace should you wish to enjoy the evening sun and watch the sunset on Rome.....

Staff was very attentive and friendly. Private transportation was arranged and it was very helpful. We stayed in the “Trastevere Suite”. We had a small kitchen which had a coffee maker and snacks included. Spacious rooms and comfortable bed. View from our room was amazing. Rooftop was a bit disappointing but it was May so the weather wasn’t the best. The best is the location. We walked everywhere. The best restaurants were right around the corner. Would highly recommend!

We loved it. 100% recommended. Top floor of a 5 story building with an elevator. The hosts/owners also live on this floor and are as sweet and attentive as they could hope for at check-in. Our room was actually a 3 room “suite” with a kitchen, bedroom and sitting room. My husband arranged for the bouquet and champagne to be in the room at check in and they delivered. The location is perfect. Right in the middle of the Trastevere neighborhood.

Beautiful location, comfy bed, cool patio with a view, wonderful staff and the room was very clean (and I'm picky)! My only complaint was that the hair dryer no kept turning off and wasn't very strong.

We arrived late at night and the private arranged taxi by the guest house was very, very welcome. He knew exactly where to go which was great when we were all tired (2 children in tow). The apartment was clean, spacious and we could sink into a clean comfortable bed after a long journey. There was plenty of room for a family of 4. A kitchen if you want to use it. Everything is clean modern and tastefully decorated. We walked everywhere. All the sites are accessible within about 20-30 mins walk. Trastevere is a great area, cheaper restaurants than in the centre and loads to choose from. Lots of bars, shops and gelaterias too. Great views over Rome from the roof.

Perfect central location for seeing Rome and Vatican. Very affordable. Cool local restaurants and bars. Public transport out front. Killer views from all rooms and access to the rooftop ( better views ). I travel a ton - this is in my top 5 worldwide.

On our 3 night stay in Rome in mid October, my husband and I stayed at Window on Rome and were very pleased with the accommodation. Our room was actually very small (the only downside for us), but in all fairness I believe it was the last room available when we booked. That said, the owners are lovely and so helpful with recommendations, the room was spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom, and that view from the window was fabulous! The desk is not manned at all times, but the owners live steps away on the same floor, and are available always if needed. It is so very well situated in Rome - very easy walking distance to everywhere, loads of nearby restaurants, etc. And if you want a much more budget friendly option than a cab, it is very easy to get to and from the airport on the local train from the airport to Trastavere, and then a short tram ride to within a block of the guest house. Would definitely recommend this property.

Window on Rome offers a very safe haven in an amazing location, right in the heart of Trastevere, making it ideal for visiting all the "must see" sights in Rome on foot. The accommodation is perfectly adequate and offers larger than average rooms with ensuite bathroom, robes, toiletries, mini fridge, wifi etc. There are no breakfast facilities, but the owners provide a selection of in-room snack options if you don't want to go out for breakfast, but there are so many wonderful restaurants right on the doorstep that we can't imagine why you wouldn't want to go out and try them all! All guests are given access to the rooftop terrace which offers incredible views and is a lovely place to sit with a bottle of wine or a beer at the end of the day. Luigia & Renato were perfect hosts and whilst reception wasn't manned 24/7 they live on site and so they were never far away if you needed them. We would recommend using their taxi service to/from the airport, which was reasonably priced, very efficient and made for a no hassle journey. We would have no hesitation in recommending Window on Rome as a perfect base for sightseeing.
