Husband and I stood here for 3 nights. Pleasantly surprised by our stay. Walking distance to all main attractions. Room was small but was to be expected being in a major city center. Hotel was clean and nice. Free breakfast was a treat. Nothing complicated just good coffee and breakfast pastries. Hotel staff was nice not overly nice but helpful enough. Would recommend to all traveling and looking for affordable options.

Hotel staff were helpful and cordial. Room was small but nicely decorated, clean, and included expected amenities. Hotel location near Piazza Popolo was perfect for shopping, dining, and close enough to most sites. We had a great stay and would definitely return to this hotel.

It was a great place to stay. Very nice old building. Plenty of staff ready to please you any time. Breakfast was great. Best part is that if you want to leave early morning they provide you a to go breakfast package. The only drawback is it is away from every thing. There is additional 10 minute walk. However, if one knows how to use Metro or buses, life can be very easy.

Hotel was within easy walking distance of all major sights. Rooms were on the small side, but very clean. Hardy breakfast to start each day, with very friendly staff. Great front desk staff, particularly Giorgio, who offered excellent restaurant recommendations. Great Happy Hour drinks and snacks. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again on another trip to Rome!

Good breakfast. Friendly People. Neira everything. Metro statice is really near.

Room was a bit tight to accomodate (2) people and luggage. They wasn't enough drawer or closet space for our clothes so we literally had to live out of our suitcase. It would have been better to forfeit or offer the stocked refrigerator with items (not free) or to have a dresser to store clothing. Second of all even if you wanted to use the refrigerator it was completely full of item that you could only purchase and there was no room to keep your own personal items to be kept cold.

This hotel was one the best I have ever stayed at. Tremendous staff. Old world charm. Great location. Massimiliano was great.

good service, good breakfast. very small rooms, they did not change order towels even though we asked them.

Came to Rome as a solo traveler to celebrate my 40th birthday. River Palace made me feel welcome. Hotel staff- esp the staff who worked in the dining room, housekeepers who kept my room clean and fresh, and bell hop (Albert)- all were awesome! They were very friendly and work really hard. The location is close to everything and within walking distance! Metro station was just at the end of the street. Although my room was small, it didn't really matter since I spent most of my time outside exploring. I had daily free breakfast (which helped a lot if you're trying to be on a budget) and happy hour that was affordable. When I came back from my sightseeing (on my actual birthday), the hotel made me feel special by leaving me a bottle of red wine to enjoy for my birthday. I thought that was very thoughtful (thank you again!) overall, I would definitely use this hotel again if I ever come back to Rome Italy. Ciao!

Staff is velcoming, polite and keen to assist. Hotel is clean, well equiped with lots of charm. Its within walking distance to most sites. Overall great experience!

The service here was always above and beyond. The lobby and bar cozy! Room adequate for 2. Front desk especially helpful.

There isn't enough words to express how wonderful our stay was!!! This is a charming, maticulasly maintained and clean hotel with super friendly, polite and helpful staff (Everyone spoke great English and greater you with a smile every time they saw you). We arrived early in the morning, way before check-in time, but they were able to provide a room within an hour and we even received a bottle of wine as a gift! The room was quit small (compared to American standards), but fantastically appointed and we didn't care that much about the size, as we were in Rome to explore and not to spend time in the room. And the breakfast was absolutely amazing!!!! Scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, meats, cheeses, yougurts, pastries and fruit and lattes and cappuccinos! Wow!!!! Everything was fresh and delicious! And the staff in the breakfast room - amazing!!! And to top it all off, they have a great happy hour - half off on drinks from 5pm to 10pm with a spread of free appetizers! And let me tell you , the drinks were great, especially the cosmos, and the appetizers will fill you up after a long day of walking and exploring, that you would even need to have dinner! Overall, we had an absolutely amazing experience in Rome and River Palace Hotel made it unforgettable! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Excellent staff. Very clean. Not the biggest rooms - but to be expected in Europe.

I just got back from my stay at the River Palace and I couldn't have been happier with my stay. I stayed in the room by myself so the size of the room was perfect. The hotel was very clean and a short walk away from the Piazza Popolo, Spanish Steps and Trivoli fountain (among other places# I asked the staff several questions during my stay and they were always friendly and gave me good advice. The evening had a nice happy hour #1/2 off drinks) and a big spread of complimentary snacks. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
