I stayed at this guest house for 6 nights and the location of this property was excellent. The room was ok too bed is very hard and room is small but for the price you pay it’s worth it for the location. The service we received from the owner Marisa was brilliant, she is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic & have to eat in ur room so I didn’t eat any just eat out. Next door room and main road was noisy so kept getting woken up by kids crying which was a shame. If window is closed can’t hear traffic so that was ok. Would recommend it purely for the location to central and service we received.
Stayed here overnight whilst travelling to Calabria and i was just glad it was only one night. The room was dirty and very dated. The decor needs a great deal of updating. We had booked 2 rooms here and on arrival at 5.30 pm the reception was closed and after 30 minutes managed to get hold of someone via the intercom system. I would recommend this hotel.
We received a warm welcome from the receptionist. The room was simply furnished - the furniture was little old and shabby but adequate. The bathroom was modern, with shower, loo, bidet, sink & hair dryer. Wifi & a/c were very efficient. Rooms were cleaned daily & clean towels supplied. Shutters helped to keep out the traffic noise. Breakfast: fresh rolls & croissants were left outside the room, jam, butter, cheese left in the mini bar. Tea, coffee & fruit juice were available in the lobby. The location is perfect- about 10-15 minutes walk from the railway station, a few minutes from the Metro, buses pass the hotel, although it is easy to walk to many of the popular sights.
I had read the lovely reviews on here and booked it I saw that it said it was a hotel within a hotel but unfortunately I never saw that it was within a hotel within another hotel and the hotel you have to look for is the Miami hotel...we wasted ages looking for it. I was also concerned (rightly or wrongly) of what I felt was too much hassle that if the reception was not available you go to the 5th floor (another hotel) then use the phone to complete certain instructions to release your key for the 4th floor.... thank goodness the lady was on the 5th floor reception especially as the lift didn't work when arrived.....hot, bothered tired and a suitcase and tired! The lady was so lovely but then the room...I could of cried, it was not like the photos and think we just had THE worse room I have ever stayed in...room 1. It was miserable and the bathroom was full of pink along the edge of the horrible shower. We hated it so much we stayed out both nights as long as possible so not to have to go back. The breakfast was as stated minimal...not for us. We had to go get breakfast as a croissant was not what I expected. I wish I had complained......If the other rooms are nice then is good value, but I felt I was in a box ......... when leaving was sad that the lady didn't ask if we enjoyed are stay as I would of said no not at all.........
It's centrally located and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is rather limited, but very fresh especially the croissants! Our room was spacious and quite comfy. The only downside is that noise from the traffic outside can be annoying at night though closed windows help to muffle the noise. Room was functional, but needs to be refurbished. All in all though, a positive experience.
Staff were excellent, very helpful and accommodated any request we had. Alice in reception, went through all the sights to see around Rome and where they were. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Air-con was great. Breakfast was nice, and we had to leave early before breakfast one morning and the staff arranged a takeaway breakfast for us. Located close to the Trevi Fountain, the Railway station and a 5 min walk to Repubblica Metro station. Very happy with the staff, location and accommodation.
The rooms are quite clean, and the maid works very hard to clean everyday. Usually they start to prepare breakfast at 7 am. Breakfast only contains a croissant and a bread, plus drink. There are plates cups and utensils in room for us to use for breakfast, we sometimes use them to eat snacks and fruits we bought from grocery stores next door. Beds are quite comfy, water pressure is good, and air condition is powerful. The staff are very helpful in terms of calling for taxi and making restaurant reservations. Only complain is room is a little small, and shower is small, but great value for money.
We had a lovely time staying at Welcome House. We liked he service and the location. It was walkabke frm colosseum and so close to nice restaurants and the Republica metro station. Our host was kind and welcoming and the service lady was accomodating. We liked the decir and the breakfast in the room.
The name says it all "Welcome House" - staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and bed comfortable and serviced daily. Excellent value for money, centrally situated with easy access, via walking and/or good bus service to most tourist attractions.
We had 6 nights here and nothing to complain about. Great value for money and they clean every day and we got fresh towels every day too. The room is a bit small but for that price in an European City it's okay. The only thing is that if you want breakfast before 8am you only get dry cakes. Of you can wait till 8am you get freshly backed bread and croissants. It's in the 4th floor but there is an elevator so that's no problem.
