Hotel The Building4.0 out of 5.0

I spent 4 days, 3 nights at The Building Hotel in Rome. The hotel is very modern and located in a quiet area so your stay is guaranteed to be quiet. Also it was a reasonably easy walk to the main sites in Rome. Food was very good and rooms very clean. Would highly recommend.
The staff are very kind and helpful. The place is very clean. Breakfast isn’t great but is cheap. The pool is always in the shade so was very cold. What was disappointing as we chose this hotel because of the pool. The metro station is still a bit of a walk it’s not as close as I believed. Overall 3.5 out of 5 for me
We stayed here for three nights on our city break to Rome. Check in was quick and courteous and as the restaurant was closed for the night we were directed to a local restaurant which was very nice. The hotel is in a lovely quiet area but only a short walk (about 30 minutes) from The Colleseum and other major attractions. For trips further afield the reception staff will order you a taxi which generally arrives very quickly. The restaurant looked really nice although we only had breakfast there. Breakfast is the usual selection, not stunning but perfectly acceptable. There is a lovely bar area and an outside pool and terrace. The spa looks very nice but you pay separately and we were too busy to go there. Our room was fine, a double overlooking the front but quite quiet. The bed is comfortable although we would have liked a duvet rather than the sheet and bed cover provided. The shower and bathroom are modern and well stocked with Toiletries. All in all I would recommend this hotel if you are sightseeing in Rome.
This is a very comfortable hotel with courteous, helpful staff and well equipped bathroom including high pressure showers. The online photos are not exaggerated as with some other hotels. It is reasonably close to attractions / transport (walkable if you are slightly energetic or close to bus stops and a 10 minute walk with luggage from Termini train station). This would be my first choice for a place to stay if I return to Rome.
Lovely rooms. Very quirky design. Modern. Although very cleverly designed with very modern fittings, the air conditioning touch symbols do not work and you have to ask reception to switch it on/off and set the temperature for you. I don't speak Italian sometimes it is nice to flick through TV channels but the TV in the room didnt work and the same problems were apparent in another room that another family member was staying in. No drawers in the rooms was also a pain cos were do you put your undies/socks etc? The spa was beautiful and very relaxing. Breakfast was basic. Dinner was good though.
We stayed here about 18 months ago for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. This trip they put us in a room of the parking lot / handicap accessible. Had we been staying any longer this trip I would have immediately asked to be moved. My bad! Wet room bathroom was awful. Seems to be the Italian way but the mattress was extremely hard as were the pillows. The staff was Great as was the breakfast! It's close enough to the train station that we've walked both stays, though this time we did it in the rain and I won't do that again. If we find ourselves in Rome again I'd probably go back.
Great location, right next to the Metro. The staff could not be more helpful or friendly. We stayed in the Junior Suite and it was absolutely lovely, great to have a hot tub in the room. Lovely food and drinks. We used the spa and it was excellent (apart from the swimming cap you have to wear in the pool...not the cap's fault). I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I would love to go back here very soon.
Though not very picteresque with its view you are within a stones throw distance of the major transport centre of Rome Termini. This is ideal for getting tour buses and the like nearby. As well, it is positioned away from the incessant noise from the city centre meaning a good nights rest in a very funky room. Inside the reception was clean and helpful having booked our tours and swiftly assigned us to our room! Upon entering the room you are greeted with a small yet sufficient abode for 2 that is cleaned everyday without fail. I hope that you have a similiar experience as I have at the Building Hotel!
I stayed here for 7 nights. It’s within a 15 minute walk of the main train station, Roma termini. Good location! I walked to every site, i.e. Coloseum, the Vatican, etc. ... a little over an hour to walk to the Vatican. Food options are everywhere so it doesn’t matter where you stay. The hotel had a good breakfast buffet, with variety of food and coffee (you need to ask for a coffee other than American coffee that is laid out). The spa is worth the 25 euros/Day and the massages are very good ... I had two. Room is clean but missing a dresser and iron (I never asked for an iron so ... perhaps you can get one). Only issue I had was when checking out which at that time they said I had to pay the tax in cash. So I was off, given wrong directions, looking for a cash machine. Never found one close and they accepted my credit card. The other issue, I checked the night before about checking out, as I like to plan, but the payment of tax by cash was not mentioned. Overall it was a good experience!
We didn’t have the choice of hotel due to the fact my husband had won the trip to Rome as part of a competition. On the whole the hotel was really nice although it’s not in central Rome. There was a few things which would improve, for a 4 star hotel, you expect complementary tea and coffee in you’re room as standard. The bedroom was lovely however was extremely dark the lighting wasn’t very bright. Space was an issue with suitcases. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast however the coffee cups were a joke we had to go back three times to get a decent drink. Walls were thin and could do with sound proofing. Visually the hotel was beautiful and had a lot of charm and I think if they ironed out what trip advisors are saying it could be a lovely hotel. The maps at reception were brilliant idea and helped you navigate ourselves around Rome. We had room 131 and it had a balcony which was nice to seat out on.
