2 nights--room 310 Great location--just three blocks from Termini station, about 4 blocks to Republic Metro; lots of restaurants, groceries , shops, and gelato close. Review title refers to fact that one must negotiate two short flights of steps to get to the elevator. Room was clean; all lights, etc worked, decent lights for reading in bed; room faced the somewhat busy street but was quiet enough for good sleeping; décor is modern Now the negatives: not enough counters or shelves for suitcases; no bar soap, no soap dish/tray in shower; bed & pillows uncomfortably hard; very weird placement of toilet paper dispenser & small towel rack directly below a liquid soap dispenser; another towel rack was above & too close to the bidet; not enough clothes hangers; breakfast was just ok--only one hot dish
Hetel Selene Roma is a great place to stay when visiting Rome. The building is charming and centrally located for sightseeing on foot or with public transportation. My pre-trip contact with the hotel to arrange an extra night after our tour ended was smoothly handled. I was secure in the knowledge that we would not have to change rooms during our stay. Staff was very helpful in arranging timely transportation to the airport on our day of departure.
Hotel itself is ok. My experience was somewhat negative because I was given a room in the front of the hotel which is on a busy street with traffic noise and eating facilities that are open late and get very, very noisy.
Enjoyed our one night after a long travel day from CA. Friendly helpful staff. Near the opera house. Great dinner at Cotto - sister restaurant. Nice window shopping & gelato nearby. Also serving pastries & marzipan.
We stayed one night before we returned to the states. Hotel was easy walking distance from Termini Station. Great location that night for walking around and finding sights and restaurants. Staff was great, rooms clean and modern.
We booked a holiday for five nights with British Airways staying at the Selene Roma Hotel. It was not as we imagined by the pictures shown on site. We imagined it to be a very large hotel rom the view of outside pictures, this was very far from the truth. The reception is a small room to the right of the hotel and the entrance to your rooms is via an automatic door on the left. We went into our room and to say I was disappointed was putting it mildly. The room was tiny, very dark, with dark tan and black fabric on the walls. The bed and bedhead took up all the room and to get to one side of the bed there was about 12 ins from the wall as space. No drawers for clothes just a wardrobe. There was no mirror in the room just one chair and a desk top. The bathroom was awful, the sink had no plug, there was a visible plastic tube as outlet pipe underneath it and as for the toilet, it was huge with an old fashioned seat that had the opening on the front. The shower was tiny. I immediately phoned reception and told them it was unacceptable. They were unable to change the room for us that night but did so the next day. Whilst we went out they put our cases into another room. This room was much better although still not what I thought we were getting but that's a matter to be taken up with British Airways. This had a lovely bathroom albeit a small shower, but the room was ok for the rest of the break. The breakfast was continental and again was fine, machine coffee which actually was the best tasted in Rome and that's saying something. There is no bar in the hotel, it merely is a place to lay your head. The plus side is the staff were really nice and helpful. Would I stay there again.....no.
Room and bathroom are a bit small, but the location is wonderful!. At the center of Rome, 200 mts to the Terminal and many metro stations... all Rome attractions near by 20 mins walking, at most... 5⭐️for staff.
Location of the hotel is very good, within the working distance to the main attractions and close to Termini station. Lof of eating places are nearby. Staff was very helpful and friendly in the reception. The breakfast was good.
This 3 star hotel was perfect for a one night stay near the train station. The room was modern. We liked being able to open the window and not use the air con. We were upgraded to a deluxe room on the 4th floor after paying for a comfort room. Bed was comfortable. Shower was excellent. Attendant in breakfast room was extremely nice and deserves a commendation. Coffee machine in breakfast room was substandard for Italy. Hotel was convenient to the #64 bus, which we needed to take to meet friends.
Modern style room. Security is very good. You have to use the card to access the elevator, floor, and your room. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is better than other hotels around the area.
