This is a very service minded and kind hotel! We arrived much later than what was the normal check in time, and with very short notice, the head receptionist were there to check us in anyway. In the morning, they gave us a map over Rome and spent a long time circling things out and explaining to us how and where to go. They gave us great tips on where to go, but I have to say that this hotel lies in the middle of the most cosy and authentic part of Rome, Trastevere, where you find all the narrow walking streets, all the authentic trattorias, osterias and pizzerias, and almost only italians (very few tourists). This is the place to be if you want some space from all the tourists you just met at the Colosseum, and to be honest, you can spend an entire day just walking around the area and take it all in. We spent two days on this! The best part is that there is a free open air cinema just on the other side of this hotel's block that seems to be open and playing movies in the evening during the whole summer from June through August! If you come here during summer, be sure to pick up the cinema program! We had gotten a triple room for a great deal, without a breakfast package. Usually, in the morning, you have to hang up the "do not disturb" sign before 10 AM to not have your room cleaned if you wish to sleep in. We forgot this and only managed to tell the cleaning lady that we were still in there, sleeping, right before she was about to enter. We apologized as she had prepared her tools and schedule around cleaning our room, but instead of being angry, she gave us fresh towels and some left over chocolate croissants and pineapple juice even though food wasn't included in our price! The same thing with the food happened over again the next day! The day before we were leaving, the head receptionist fixed us a taxi to the airport for 04:30 in the morning. Overall, we had a great experience!
Suberb location (Trastevere), nearby tram 8. Walking to the citycentre also possible, approx. 20 minutes to Piazza Venetia. Very friendly staff en nice and clean hotelroom. Breakfast very simple but OK.
The location in Trastevere was perfect, everything is around the corner. Small clean room, we stayed 3 persons in the room. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was served in the room. Good coffee, juice and croissants of your choice and fresh bread.
The staff was very friendly and obliging. The room was very clean and modern in an appartment in an old traditional Roman block of flats! That may frustrate firt time visitors in Rome but that is what it is in Rome, except if you go for the traditional hotel. It is conveniently located for tourists. Safe and secure. Definitely recommended whether one goes for business or sightseeing.
We have made a reservation through the website of the "hotel" and everything seemed to be good, nothing luxurious but very comfortable. We arrived at the "hotel" and come across a residential building, so we press the intercom and enter. There were some rooms in the building's ground floor and seemed to be good, however, directed us to another street, where we had to leave the building and go to the other side. Once there the building was very old, and went up to the third floor. There were two rooms and a hallway with a kitchen. We entered our room and the floor was stone, very old, the only good part was the bathroom was renovated, but the shower is not heated, not changed towels and did not replace soap and toilet paper. On the website it said we would have Wi-fi and conditioner air, but none of it was true. No Wi-fi, no fridge, no air, no phone to communicate with the reception and even toast one infernalllllllll noise from other rooms and from the next room. Yet, as if that were not enough, the system gas that heats the water in the bathrooms of the rooms was INSIDE, yes, INSIDE our room and the noise was terrible. In three nights we had there, we had a few hours sleep. Ah Wi-fi, complained daily that were unsigned and conditioner air why inside the room was very hot, but nothing was resolved. Finally, write to others to take care of its reserves, because not everything is in the photos, it is is as it seems. Worst experience we had today! Lack of respect for guests.
The hotel is ok for the price but very basic. Room was nice with a very small bathroom. It is a pity that the rooms are not sound proof, we could hear everybody talking and walking in the hallway. The location was good.
You can easily reach the place by public transportation (bus H) from Termini Station, get off at Ministero Pubblica di Istruzione stop. It's a few minutes from there. "Residenza Belli Inn" is actually located in a residential building (on the ground floor). We paid 640 euros for 6 nights in a standard triple room (breakfast included). The room is very small, wasn't squeaky clean, but it was acceptable. They serve breakfast in bed (!), but the breakfast is really modest (tea, few croissants). The location is great, you are just a few minutes walk from the Tiber, Vatican, Santa Maria in Trastevere church, Giannicolo Hill, Ponte Garibaldi (bridge) and Piazza Venezia. Advantages: price and location; downsides: modest accommodation
Nr 1. accomodation for a Rome Trip. Nearby the tram 8 in central part of Trastevere's. The staff is very kind and helpful. The is room and bath is clean (cleaned every day). When we was there the bed, the furniture, the equipments were new. The breakfast simple, but tasty. Summary I think it was the best choice to stay at Rome for 4 days.
There is almost nothing bad to say about the hotel except for two things 1. The bathroom was small and smelled of mold, the toilet didn't really flush, and the shower head didn't really work. 2. The guy who served breakfast yelled at us several times for not understanding the process Otherwise the hotel was a fantastic value for what we paid for! The air-conditioning was fantastic and unexpected, the breakfast tasted fantastic, the location was slightly away from many of the main tourist attractions, but not too far to walk, but that meant that a lot of the restaurants were not catering towards tourists. Overall I would recommend and stay again!
Really enjoyed our stay at this guest house! Staff were really helpful, allowing us to leave our backpacks at the reception til our room was ready as we arrived pretty early in the morning. We also received a free upgrade to a superior room which was in another building 1 min up the road. The room was great, clean with modern decoration. Only slight fault was the shower was not very strong with odd temperatures! Breakfast was really great! Overall amazing for the price we paid!
