I stayed here in July with my husband for a week. We booked due to the reviews and the fact it was quite cheap and we were looking for a last minute holiday. It was easy enough to get to from the airport by taxi (which we were told would be an hours drive which turned out to be 20 mins as driver wanted more money - not unusual in Rome!) and it was a really easy check in and the staff were lovely. We managed to get into our room straight away even though we had an early flight which was nice. I would say that I expected more from the room with the reviews but it might have just been ours. It was a very small room/box which we didn't mind but the wardrobe was falling apart and the main plug socket for the room next to the mirror was faulty so wouldn't work well but we managed. There was nowhere to put your cases as it was so small but we weren't too bothered. The main thing was the interior. It was clean enough but the walls an ceiling were dirty, due to people being in and out which isn't the properties fault but I felt it needed a really good clean and a new lick of paint. The shower would also take a while to heat up and was quite marked also. The outside was beautiful and there were loads of cats roaming around which we loved. On days we went to the pool the staff were lovely but you do have to pay £2 for a swim cap which was a tad annoying and stopped me going in the pool a lot. You also have the option to WhatsApp your food order to be delivered to your bed however we done this twice and we ended up having to go to the bar because no one replied. Turned out the waiters phone had died which wasn't great when all the signs said you could message via phone. The beds also had no cover on them so it was just plastic you lay on which was quite uncomfortable. Some beds were reserved for most of the day with a cover on them but lay empty so I am not sure why they were reserved when people were unable to get a bed when it was so busy. There is a shop and train station just down the road which made it easy for us to get in and out of Rome but you do need to cross quite a busy road so need to be careful! I would say there weren't many restaurants around and the one in the property didn't have the greatest menu so we ended up just travelling into Rome most days. Overall, it was beautiful in and around the area and staff were great and accommodating. If the room had been slightly better may have enjoyed it more but it was a cheap last minute holiday so we were expecting it. Pool was big enough and food was good on the night we were at the restaurant even if they didn't have a lot of choice. (Big tomato pasta fan). I think its a great place to go for a short stay, camping/campervan.
Absolutely loved my stay here! Staff were very friendly and the bungalow was perfect for us. It was quite a long walk from the front entrance to our bungalow, however the shuttle bus made this a lot easier but unfortunately it only runs during certain hours. The bungalow itself has all the necessities and the air conditioning was amazing considering the 30° heat. The restaurants and bar were also very good and reasonably priced. The only downside is that you have to wear a swimming cap in the pool which can be purchased at the bar for €2.
We visited Flaminio village with our camping van and couldn’t imagine a better place to visit Rome. We had a shady pitch with a short way to the bathrooms. The bathrooms are great - modern and always clean with classic music :) never crowded, although there were enough other guests. Nice pool. Everybody is very friendly, staff at poolbar, the driver of the shuttle (he brought us to our pitch although it was after 8pm and his job was finished for the day) and the staff at the reception gave us good advices for our citytour. You can also buy your tickets for the train at the reception, price is 1,50€ per person Walk to the train: 10-15 min Train: 20 min
Great place to visit by couples, families etc. Reception staff very helpful, friendly and positive! Breakfast buffet had good selection of food, great coffee to start the day also very friendly staff. Would highly recommend if you want to spent less money than in the city centre and get away from noise.
Great park. Bungalow was fantastic, clean and tidy and had all we needed with great service as well. Our Children loved it, plenty of space outside to run around. TV in bungalow was never watched! Rome centre only a few stops on the nearby train so easy to get in and out without the children being completely overwhelmed by the city. 24 hour supermarket situated across the road from the park as well so no expensive in park prices to pay either. Thoroughly recommend this place.
We loved our night here, the showers are incredible and so clean. The pool is also amazing but you need a pool cap (they do sell them for 2 Euros) we didn’t have money with us though so they kindly gave us some which was so nice of them. Overall a fabulous site but it is very expensive. If you can afford it I highly recommend it as it’s brilliant!
my 12 year old daughter and i stayed here for a week in August. we had a small bungalow with twin beds , bathroom and ensuiite and deck. acoomodation was perfect for us but like some other reviews i would suggest a kettle in each bungalow please. we found the swimming pool great and generally always got a sunbed. we did most of our dining at the ppol restaurant rather than the main one as the main one was generally quite crowded. the food was very good and reasonably priced. its a lovely parkland setting and you really feel you are out in the country while only 10 minutes from central rome by train. the constatnt chirping of the crickets added to this rural feeling. i personally found it was a great park to run around early in the morning with only the on site wild goats for company. Andreu the barman was a real asset to the property and reallly was very friendly informative and helpful. check in and check out were very easy and quick and no issues. one thing i would request though would be maybe some activity at night for kids, even just some disco music for kids in the covered area near the main restaraunt as it was very difficult for kids to meet and interact with other. overall we were very happy with our stay and have no hesitation in recommending flamino vilage.
We stopped in one of the grand bungalows. 1 bedroom, sleeps 4 with kitchenette and porch area. The positives, friendly, helpful staff, clean, well maintained accommodation. Excellent air conditioning. Beautiful grounds, well maintained and clean. Nice pool, not too crowded, always managed to get a sunbed! Simone in information kiosk is a goldmine of information, knows everything about where and when to go. Bungalow was cleaned 3 times in the 2 weeks, clean towels and linen each time. Nice restaurant on site, reasonably priced, excellent steak! An ideal base for visiting Rome and surrounding area. Negatives? Thin walls, noisy neighbours. Bungalow has large bedroom and small living area, wrong way round! We got used to it! Had a great time.
We stayed here for a week. This site is a great base to see the sights of Rome and nearby. The lodge we were in was very comfortable, well equipped and great air conditioning. The site is a quick five minute walk to train station - which is only a few stops from city. It’s very easy to navigate. Get yourself a good metro map too. We took a day off from Rome to go to Anzio Beach - this was a nice different day out and we also took a trip to Pompeii/ Vesuvius. The restaurant is fab and their pasta dishes are excellent and really well priced. It does get rather packed so you may want to reserve your table. Staff there are great. There are great washing facilities on site - washing machine etc. The pool is lovely - we went down later in the day after sight seeing - around seven - and its was less busy. Overall this is a great place to holiday and I would have no hesitation in recommending this site and all it has to offer.
We had a fabulous time at this camp and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Having driven from England and camped all the way to Rome, we found this camp site the day before we arrived. Having rung ahead they said we didn’t need a reservation and could just turn up. The staff at reception were very friendly and spoke good English, which was helpful! He told us the area we could camp in and that we could choose our own pitch. There were many trees and some shady pitches. The ground was very gravelly and dusty and we had to move some stones away so they didn’t pierce the tent or air beds but the pegs went in easily. The toilet block was a short walk from the pitch and were some of the nicest camp site toilets I’ve ever been in!! A beautiful water fall greeted you as you enter and the toilets were clean. The showers were lovely, warm, constant. Each cubical had a little dry section with a bench, a step wet area and then a shower with doors. There were plenty of sockets around the mirrors and private, lockable sink cubicles. Women’s also had a small vanity room with hair dryer and makeup mirrors. The restaurant attached had a beautiful selection of food - starters, main and desert - we ate there most nights and the range of food was great with some beautiful pasta dishes, pizzas and freshly griddles meats all (mostly) reasonably priced. The bar attached was also a lovely little place, which doubled as the breakfast bar. The bartender was fab and even created me a cocktail when I told him the ingredients I liked. He made us feel right at home and made our experience very enjoyable. A special mention to the lady at the info point who was truly fantastic; there wasn’t anything she didn’t know about Rome or the surrounding area! She had an array of tickets available, maps galore and great insiders knowledge to how to travel around, where to eat and less well-known sights to see. Thank you - you made our stay so much better with info we could trust. The pool was lovely and the bar attached was very handy for drinks and snacks throughout our rests poolside. The shuttle bus from reception to the square was ace, however it would have been even better if it could drop at the pool as well. Transport to Rome couldn’t be easier with the train a 10 minute walk away and every 15 mins service. The metro was also easy to use and a €1.50 ticket bought you 100 mins of travel - ample to travel to where you needed to be in Rome! With lots of lovely people of all nationalities there, all in all a fab stay and we would definitely return to you!
