We stayed for 4 nights at the Raganelli Hotel for a city break, having had a good deal with Loveholidays for flights + hotel. The location is quite far away from the city centre but there is very good transport: relatively regular buses (though they are no use in rush hour traffic) and the Cornelia metro station 1 km away from the hotel. You can take the bus to the metro station or walk to it as we did pretty much every day (more pleasant and sometimes faster), though I must say this is not the most pleasant walk in the world (busy road, cars parked on pavement, pavement full of holes etc.); this is probably our main criticism of the location. On the other hand, we really enjoyed having a delicious cafe and buying food at local shops near the metro station, at a fraction of the city centre's price! You also get a nice taste of Italian life, unlike in the busy, tourist-oriented city centre (we like Caffe and Cappuccino on Circonvallazione Cornelia). Ok, the hotel itself: we had a fantastic experience! We had a room on the back of the hotel and it was very comfortable, quiet and clean. Shower was excellent, bed incredibly comfortable, and the room was spacious and luminous. The cleaners took their job to heart: I have never experienced such thorough cleaning in any hotel! The room looked absolutely impeccable every day we came back. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was very nice and diverse. We had a lovely stay there and would happily come back!
This hotel has no architectural barriers ans it is easly accessible with wheelchairs in all areas of the hotel. We stayed 3 days where we had good time also for the courtesy of the staff. The breakfast is at agood level and the staff speaks english. BY Bus from hotel we could reach the Vatican in 10-15 minutes. The prices are low and the value for money is good.. We will return again in this hotel
Positive stay in this hotel where the staff let you feel at home. They offer a personalized service . Our room on the 5th floor was with a small balcony with a. Nice view. The room was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was at a good standard all fresh product . The hotel is well connected with the city center by public transportation, bus and metro. Hotel to recommend.
I recently took my wife to Rome for a birthday treat, we wasn't very happy with the room we was given, broken mirror bedroom door lock broke locking us in room couldn't call reception has phone wouldn't work, hole in ceiling above bed some lights not working. Also room was like an oven, I think the boiler room was next to our room. If you want a drink at the bar you have to walk through the hotel to the reception and call someone. It's also on a busy main road To far from city Have to take a bus and metro (underground) or taxi I did ask if we could move rooms but was told they didn't have anything else.
i was on Italy tour with a group organized from Trafalgar, We viisted the most important cities in Italy, In Rome we were at this nice hotel where we enjoyed our stay. The multilingual staff was friendly and helpful in all hotel departments. Our Room was large and clean, Wifi. internet speed connection was complimentary as well. The Breakfast buffet was excellent, they open extra for our group the restaurant half hour before ( at 6:30 a.m.) the normal breakfast time which should have been at 7:00a.m. Our coach could park direct next to the hotel entrance and it was very comfortable for our group. There is a terrace on the 5th floor where in the evening we enjoyed the the sun set. Hotel to suggest and we will report to our travel agency only positive evaluation
Stayed here for 4 nights, on arrival welcomed by a friendly, accommodating receptionist Marco. He was extremely polite but seemed rushed of his feet covering reception. Showing people to rooms and manning the bar, He was very happy to help as I booked a standard Rome because I was a late booking to the trip. He gave us the option to upgrade for 25 euros per night to the Junior suite, which was very nice as it was over 2 floors and the bathroom had a whirlpool bath. The only gripe would be that a mini fridge is missing from the rooms as we had a little boy no way of keeping milk cool during the day. So we had to buy fresh every day. Marco was extremely busy so appeared over stretched as a result customer service may have lacked as he couldn't give people his full attention. Also for breakfast there was no baby seat, which in my opinion should be mandatory for all places serving food. As it was near impossible to feed our son from our lap as he is still young and likes to explore. So for a small cost to the hotel it will make a big difference to guest staying with children. The room temperature was manageable, but the AC didn't seem very efficient as we had it on for the whole 4 days and didn't really drop the temperature of room making a little uncomfortable at night times. Overall we did have a nice stay as the room was spacious, so plenty of room for us and our baby to spend some time before we went out. The shower with whirlpool bath was excellent because of its power and ease of use, just the tiles could of done with some TLC I would stay here again, just a few minor problems stopping this hotel from being a great one. Location you can't change as you know where you are staying if you do some pre reading before you fly to Italy. Friendly staff and break fast had a nice variety.
Nice hotel just outside of Rome centre, but close enough to get to by bus or tube . Hotel staff were helpful & friendly would recommend . No restaurant at hotel but good eating places in walking distance
My wife and I stayed at the Raganelli hotel and found it an easy base for or stay in Rome. The staff were very helpful and gave good and helpful information of how to get around and the nearest places to eat. We were in room 112 at the front of the hotel on the main road but still had no problems with noise from the traffic. Our room was clean, bright and modern and the hotel a good base for the tours.
We needed a base from which to explore Rome but felt a city centre hotel could have problems with noise, so chose The Raganelli. A bus to the metro station from the stop across the road and door to door, we were in the middle of town in half an hour. With regards the hotel itself, it was fine. A clean, functional room, helpful and polite staff, a decent continental breakfast, and a comfortable and quiet night's sleep is what we hoped for and was exactly what we got. Rome is a fantastic city and thanks in part to The Raganelli, we had an absolutely amazing family trip.
we were looking for a room for 4 perons ( 2 adults and 2 children) and looking on tripadvisor we have seen that this hotel offer family room. It was a good choice the family room was perfect for us. We arrived by car at the hotel in Rome and could park our car free of charge at the privat hotel parking place. With our pleasant surprise on our arrival at 9:00 a.m. we could suddenly check-in . it was already on the arrival a good feeling. The staff at the reception was friendly and helpful. Our family room was large, clean and with all modern . We had good time in this hotel we will suggest it to all our contact.
