I stayed here for two nights , in two different rooms as they moved me to another because no hot water in the first one which was more comfortable with a nice street view . The breakfast is so basic, but adequate . This B&B, so front disk is not available 24 hours, you have to give arrival details in advance to find the owner for check in . NO minibar items. The location is great
I am still shaken . I am a lady and Was travelling alone with my 6 month old baby -checked in the guest house at 9pm . I noted Balajee the man who checked me in smelt of alcohol. I ignored this - silly me. An hour later at about 10 pm I got a knock on the door and I was in bed half asleep. I was scared to open so asked who it was but the voice said "Balajee" who had checked me in so I opened door. He was very drunk and tried to come into my room ! He then fell back and fell down the stairs and thank goodness I had time to slam the door and locked myself in. Thank goodness he did not lay a finger on me. I called the police but when they arrived he had ran away leaving his broken glasses on the stairs which the police found. Finally the police managed to get hold of him and he denied all this and claimed he came to let me know he was going to sleep?!?!. I now got an apology e mail from " the manager" saying they sacked him. I hope it is true as funnily enough I note a few reviews here mentioning that Balanjee IS the manager. The e mail claiming to dismiss Balanjee says that the owner and manager is Ilham Sorany. Of course I may be wrong. The worst and scariest night of my life. The police escorted me to another hotel. Be careful especially ladies travelling alone.
Has a couple of rooms and small place inside a building. You get your own key into the building which is great. Front desk clerk isn't there all the time so you can't ask question. Small breakfast delivered to room. Breakfast includes one choice of drink, orange juice, bread, crackers and yogurt. The room is very small, but it is fine. The bathroom is nice. What I didn't like was he blankets had stains on it and the bed sheets too. Makes it feel like a dirty place. The walls are thin too so you can hear your neighbors. We got told to quiet down even though you could just hear people when they're talking normally. But overall the location is great. It is in the middle of everything!
The location of this place was exactly what we needed. We stayed 2 nights and as it rained a fair bit, staying somewhere central was ideal. The room was tiny, and as the one window was around a corner facing a wall, there was no natural light whatsoever. Bathroom was also pretty cramped. I had booked a buffet breakfast when in fact we had a tray brought to us both mornings which was fine, but not what I had paid for. Overall I would recommend for people looking for absolutely no frills and all about the location.
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was fabulous! On our first day in the afternoon we were treated to an opera on thw street and with it still being very warm we had our windows open. The hustle and bustle of the high street was very calming and really put us in a mood for some reason. The hotel has a very central location about 5 mins walk from the Spanish Steps, 10-15 walks to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon and most of the tourist spots are about 30 minutes walk from this hotel. The breakfast was spot on since I am not very keen on a big breakfast although I do understand why some people would not like it. It is served in your room on the specific time requested. I would appreciate if the hotel would give you options everyday on what kind of brew would you have in the morning with breakfast. They only gave us the order sheet on our first day and they basically followed it every day we were there. It's not a complain but I can see some people would not like this. The rooms are decent size and the beds are very comfortable. There is a bit of noise due to the proximity of the room to the front desk. The 6 rooms are laid out in one floor so the main foyer does feel a bit cramped. This is not your typical big hotel type of establishment and for us it works. We would stay here again.
We stayed here for 4 nights while in Rome. The room was beautiful and spacious. Comfortable bed. Daily continental breakfast delivered to our room was lovely. Excellent friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location in the heart of the city with shopping, restaurants and the metro system right outside the door. Two disappointments: the lift, which only worked 2 of 4 days and after a day of walking, climbing up 3 floors was undesirable, and our shower was barely lukewarm. If not for these two shortfalls, we would have given this hotel a perfect score!
I visited with my partner in Feb. The guesthouse was in a perfect location, central to everything. Room was clean, shower was not hard to work, all you have to do is read the dials. One night we could hear someone snoring in the room off of ours, but it wasn't enough to ruin our holiday. Tv has English spoken programmes, i.e. Movies, the Simpsons, how I met your mother. All in all it was a great place. Breakfast was croissants and yogurts, juice and tea.
Good location, not far from Spanish steps! High end shopping, which I loved! Front desk were very helpful, but really this is an apartment turned into a "Hotel" or a better description is Bed and Breakfast. it was nice enough and clean, European breakfast, which gets delivered to you on a tray. It looked good & modern but.... Our shower kept flooding.... not fun But we have the noisiest neighbours, if we understood her language we could possibly reply! I would look elsewhere next time in Rome!
We stayed at Prestige Guest House for 8 nights from October 16 to October 24, 2015 and loved every minute of our visit. It is located within walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit. The service, the room and the breakfast were all great and everyone there was so helpful to us (this was our first visit to Italy so we needed lots of help!) The manager, Balajee, set up our transfer to the airport early Saturday morning for a flat rate - this is the kind of service every traveler wishes for. I'll be recommending this hotel to everyone I know who travels to Rome!
