The place was like a palace (on the fourth floor of an old palace) with marble floors and beautiful marble steps inside. The old open elavator was small but efficient. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was to die for!! So many choices from hot, to fresh fruit, to fabulous pastries!
The location was pretty nice, easy walking distance to the Colosseum, across the street from a bus stop and just a few blocks from the train station on the edge of the Monti district, directly across the street from the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore.
If you want to be near the great restaurants and shopping you might want to get something in Trastevere, otherwise this place was great.
The huge front door was a trip. They lock it at 7pm and you have to use your card to get in the mini door within the door after that. It took us a little bit to find where we were supposed to use our key card, it worked great once we found it on the left side.
