We visited this hotel in June for our Anniversary. We have stayed in NH hotels before and have never been disappointed, this was not exception. The hotel is in a great location, not too central, lovely and quiet. The staff were helpful, the room was clean, with everything you would expect. Great size and lovely bathroom. The breakfast was outstanding, everything you would want from a continental breakfast, prosecco and orange juice, cereals, cold cuts right through to a cooked breakfast. As I said, the location was not too central but it was beautiful, right next to the villa Borghese, we sat in the gardens and enjoyed the sunshine one afternoon. We didnt use the metro at all whilst in Rome, rather preferring to walk everywhere and enjoy the surroundings. We visited all the sights on foot and although we walked a lot we never felt exhausted as we could always stop for a coffee or gelato. Our favourite part of the hotel was the roof top ! We sat there every evening when we got back in, you could get drinks from the bar and take them up or as we did we took a bottle of prosecco of our own up and enjoyed that. I would return in a moment , the hotel is perfect.
Location We chose this hotel to be away from the crowds and were not disappointed. The Villa Borghese is behind the hotel. The park is perfect to explore, rest, picnic or visit the art museum. The hotel is near 2 metro stops and the main terminal if you are taking a train to another city. Plan to buy any convenience/pharmacy/grocery items while you are out touring. There are no stores nearby. Food The hotel has a restaurant/bar and offers room service. Breakfast includes eggs, several meat and cheese options, breads and pastries, fruit, cereal as well as juice and espresso machines. Staff and Facilities The rooms were clean and a good size. The staff, especially restaurant and cleaning, was friendly. The front desk staff was helpful and efficient. When you arrive you will see a flight of stairs down to the entrance and another to the hotel lobby. There is a ramp to the right and also an elevator to the left to make moving luggage easier. After walking through Rome in 100+ degree heat, this was an awesome place to recuperate.
Three star hotel with great location. Clean comfortable rooms and two of the best guys you will ever meet. Mario and Fabrizio entertained us with great service in the restaurant. Every time we came in their service was second to none, thanks guys
We thought a hotel slightly away from the busy city would be a good idea, proved the best idea! It's quiet, our room faced the park with beautiful trees. You can hear crickets! Room was typical of NH Collection, super clean, spacious and lovely bedding. Nice bathroom as well. Large windows. Breakfast a generous spread. Location is walking distance to bus stand. Cabs to the city cost less than EUR 7 on weekends. Nice restaurants nearby, if you check out the google-map on what's nearby, including the Hard-Rock cafe. We'll definitely come back and stay here! Good job guys!
It's a really nice place to stay in rome, it's not in a centric point of the city but its near from almost everything. The room is clean and nice, and when you arrive they give you a map of the city that helps you to find all the tourist spots.
Stayed here in April 2017 with my wife. The rooms have been re-done to a good standard. Quite spacious and well maintained for Rome. Plenty of amenities in the room and bathroom. Good choice for breakfast. But, most importantly, a nice quiet location in the center of room, which allows you to explore the city and recover after a busy day.
The staff was immediately helpful, arranging my appointment to see the Borghese Gallery (something one theoretically can do better online but I had tried several times without successfully completing the transaction). Thank you, Giuseppe. My week in Rome was at the end of an 8-week trip by train and foot and my personal coping skills were getting low. Most of the hotels I stayed at were in the NH chain and I relied on their consistent quality. Their breakfast buffets are terrific. When I had a minor issue it was immediately and cheerfully resolved. My only disappointment was being put in a single bed next to the storage room for housecleaning. I had not asked for a larger bed but had been sleeping in king beds in the other NH hotels and gotten spoiled. The breakfast and bar staff were helpful and responsive and I want to give a shout out to Sandra. When staff was not busy, I had a number of very delightful conversations in Italian, a language I speak adequately but am still learning. Advice on sights, taxis, and metro freely given but we also chatted about the arts and opera. I was able to mix heavy sightseeing days with light days so as to end my trip fairly rested. The hotel is about 0.8 mile from the nearest metro stop, which makes for a bit of a schlep. It is also just outside the walls and my trip to Fiumicino was on meter rather than the flat €48, but only €51.
The hotel has a very odd Entrance Level which is actually on a different level to the Hotel Lobby - neither of which is equipped with decent seating . It's in a very unusual location just outside the old City walls and takes a bit of orientation to get the best out of it .
Well located property - away from the tourist hustle-bustle of the old Roman neighborhood but also close enough to some nice restaurants and bars. The room was well-sized, clean and comfortable. We were checking out on a Sunday and the hotel kindly extended our checkout to 3pm, which was much appreciated! The only thing I'd fault is the breakfast, it was just poor quality, but I've been told this is common among some of the 4 star hotels in Italy..
Nice service. very good position. Breakfast was ok,a lot of variety, but croissants weren't so fresh. Nice congress rooms. From a part of the hotel (from my room i.e.) you can enjoy the view of Villa Borghese.
