We booked this hotel based on the good photos on their website and the good reviews.Sadly, our expectations were not realised. We drove there and when we arrived, discovered that there was not car park. Should have checked first. There is street parking or along the side road leading up to some residential buildings. The hotel is really very close to these residences. The surrounding area is very rundown and not well maintained especially on the way to the train station. However, there is a cafe close by and mini mart where one could get a bite to eat or stock up on some essentials. Close proximity to the train station is most helpful, less than 5 mins' walk away. In the height of summer, the hotel was not busy. There is a dog lounging around the foyer. The staff was not helpful and pretty laissez faire in their attitude. Porter service was virtually non existent and when we departed we had to lug our luggage up the front steps ourselves. The room was quite comfortable with the usual conveniences. However, they are sound proof and on could hear footsteps outside along the corridor. It is helpful for those who may require assistance as they have call buttons and emergency cords in the bathroom. Did not use any of the hotel facilities or eat there as the attitude of the staff was rather off putting.

The price offers good value for money due to the cleanliness, good service and location of the hotel. Although this hotel is situated in the outskirts of Rome, the location is great as it is a short walk from the Marconi station. We stayed in a standard room which had a lovely modern bathroom. The staff were helpful throughout our 4 night stay, and our highlights were the cocktails, hotel dog and rooftop hotub - so relaxing!

Don't get me wrong, I have no real complaints or issues with this place, I think I just expected a little more. The best thing about the hotel is the fact there is the Marconi metro station a couple hundred yards down the road so you can easily hop on a disappear into the city. There isn't much around the hotel to see or do but you're only 5 stops away from the coliseum. Breakfast at the hotel is pretty standard. Selection on cereal, toast with condiments, fruit, pastries and a selection of meats and eggs. Same kind of breakfast buffet you get anywhere in Europe. At the hotel there isn't much to keep you here, the gym is woeful. If you've even considered bringing kit to work out in, don't. It consists of a bike, cross trainer and a jittery treadmill. Two benches and a range of dumbells from 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14kg. Up on the roof there are a few sun loungers, 6 I think and a hot tub that seats 4. We came in July when the temperature was above 30 and a hot tub is not what I was after. All in all, the hotel is clean and tidy and the rooms are nice so if it's cheap and that's what you're after I'd recommend. If not I'd say get a little closer to the centre.

Would I stay here again? Absolutely So this hotel is a little out of town (and I think it might be in the red light area!) - but do not let this put you off stay here. The underground is 5 minute walk away from the hotel and about 5 stops to the Colosseum. The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and always happy to help - including the adorable dog (yes its pet friendly) patrolling recreation and also keen to great guests. The hotel is about 25 mins from the airport and the Hotel can pre-book a taxi for you for a set price of €50. On there 5th floor you can find a small terrace with a hot tub and sun loungers - which is well with a visit after a long day walking around. We had dinner in the restaurant and good food available. Also the you can get drinks from the bar all of the time. So the only downside is that we booked this hotel as it said the rooms are sound proofed - so we thought we could have drinks on the terrace at night without disturbing guests - however, yes the rooms are soundproofed but if a guest chooses to leave their window open (even though rooms have air con) then we were told to go into our rooms - which I didn't feel was acceptable (they could have been told to close their windows)! However, we were able to use the terrace in the bar area without any issues - so all good in the end.

Me and my husband stated here as a 3 night stay after our wedding. The staff were very friendly and as a gesture to celebrate our stay gave us an upgraded room and drinks vouchers for the bar. This was a lovely touch. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and has a very modern artistic feel about it. An added bonus for us was the hotel dog (spaniel) we always miss our dog when away so was lovely to see this dog this may put you off the hotel though if you aren't dog people. We ate in the hotel twice and the food was lovely. The breakfast was beautiful and not overpriced. What made this a great stay for us was the smart phone provided in every room that had internet and charged overnight meaning we could explore the city and research restaurants etc in the area without using our own data which would have cost us. The hotel has a metro stop beside it who h is brilliant and cheap to get in and out of the city centre. The only con's I would have is that there wasn't a lot of choice for dining alternatives around the area, you needed to go into the centre although it's not a deal breaker, and at night there was a lot of prostitutes around the area. I realise there is nothing the hotel can do about this, but it can be alarming when you walk out of the subway at night. Other than those con's we had a great stay.

The hotel has a lovely artistic feel. Welcoming to all and pet friendly. Staff members attentive and knowledgeable especially one individual named Valentina who went the extra mile to make our stay very comfortable. Valentina was full of information on the local attractions and even places to eat .Excellent attentiveness and help in general to me and my partner. The room in which we stayed was nice, contemporary and had a great balance of modern art and contemporary feel. I felt the standards of cleanliness were slightly let down. Although we would see the room had been slightly cleaned and beds made the attention to dust on top of frames and in corners of rooms also on the units felt undone. The roof top area was lovely but slightly let down once again by attention to cleaning especially maintenance on the jacuzzi. Gym area a nice bonus well air conditioned and all you need for a nice light workout. The breakfast range was great, the range of food was perfect and fruit always fresh along with the meat. Service from the staff was good , Waitering was fast, always happy to help. Overall great value for money especially considering it's so close to the metro which links to everything you need whilst staying in Rome. ( especially if you are wanting a quieter less busy place to stay in Rome ) In my opinion the hotel should be a 4 1/2 star , the cleanliness slightly bringing it down to what could be an up and coming 5* hotel. 5***** stay though would highly recommend.

We were in the Pulitzer hotel from 10 to 24/05/17, we were very well attended, the reception staff are very attentive, trying to understand us and explain all our requests. The breakfast is great quite hearty, and with an excellent presentation The bathroom is nice but it should have a safety bar so it would be safer to get in and out as it has a bathtub, the sink is small so it gets a little uncomfortable to add the products to use, it is clean. The location is good as far as Metro is concerned, because it is very close, but in its surroundings there is a trade, only a place where breakfast, lunch and dinner are also good quality, and an establishment where you sell fruits and products Of hygiene.

The hotel is nice and the breakfast is good. Rooms aren't the cleanest rooms I have seen, they're ok. Location of the hotel is great as it's so near the underground and you can get anywhere so easily. The service is above average, some staff were super helpful and some weren't. For example when we were asking for a coffee, the people from the reception had to make it as no one is actually working in the bar downstairs, and some staff would role their eyes as they could not be bothered to make it. And you would get completely different americano depending who is making it :) However, that is only two bad-ish things, there is so many good things: The rooms are pretty nice, good value for money, most staff are friendly, we had dinner there as well which was delicious! All in all I will be staying here again if I come back to Rome. And I would recommend it to anyone.

We had a lovely stay here at the hotel - breakfast great, rooms clean & well appointed, roof top jacuzzi & terrace a benefit, inly 5 mins to metro & you are in centre of Rime in 15 mins - would stay again!!

We stayed four nights at Hotel Pulitzer. Our double superior room (312) was nice, clean, spacious, and included an own balcony. We loved the place even it was not in the city centre. If you do not mind a 10 minutes ride by underground to get to the city centre it is the perfect place to stay in Rome. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. And they have a lovely dog.
