We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We arrive pretty late and someone else had taken our room due to a misunderstanding between the guest and the host. There was no one in the reception nor did they answer the phone when we tried to solve the situation. We had to take another room where the key was in the door, hoping that no one was expecting that room. We hardly slept the first night. The beds and pillows were hard. The day after we changed rooms but this one was even worse. The bed was squeaking from every move and it was very noisy from the restaurant below. The lights in the hall had automatic sensor and detected every move and a clicking from the sensor was extremely annoying. The rooms were pretty run down. The only positive thing about this place is the location. The street is very nice and the bakery around the corner is great. I’m giving the place 3 stars cause the other rooms might have been better then the two we tried.
I had a tough time reflecting on what I would write on my stay at Luxury Navona. It's not truly a hotel and perhaps, it's best summed up as a five-bedroom condo, that someone thought to turn into guest lodging. No luxury experienced to justify the name. I didn't have a particularly standout stay and felt the lack of not having access to a customer service oriented "front desk", meant I couldn't immediately remediate or correct the "negatives", experienced during my duration. After the initial check-in, there was never a person at the front desk throughout my entire stay. I should correct to say I never encountered anyone at the front desk each time I came in and out. Once, I did run into a custodial person, who did not speak any English. Instead, I had to endure being woken up by late night returns of other guests who thought nothing of lowering voices and also of kids running through the premise yelling as kids do. Would I do it again? Not likely, which is not to say it cannot work out for someone else. But do bear in mind walls are thin and amenities are bare bones. While very responsive via email prior to arrival, my few email attempts to reach this same person during my stay was to no avail. So, with that said, let's go in search of positives for this review!! As the wise, old adage goes, "location is everything!", then Luxury Navona with its address on Via dei Coronari and very near to Piazza Navona, redeems itself with its proximity to a lot of what you want to be easily accessible to, when in Rome! It's a short, easy walk over to the Tiber riverbank and Castel Sant'angelo, and nearby Vatican City. And once you're on the Piazza Navona, you easily access plenty other attractions nearby. Now the movie "Eat Pray Love" was never on my mind when I'd decided to tack on a few days in Rome at the end of my 11-day Adriatic jaunt, nor when I had booked Luxury Navona! It was pure chance I made the neighborhood connection to the movie's Rome filming locations! I probably watched (for the umpteenth time) "Eat Pray Love" on my last long-haul flight a few months ago! And as I meandered the many cobblestone pathways nearby Via dei Coronari, I began feeling some familiarity and instantly realized that I've "seen" some of this backdrop before. This deja vu feeling first hit me when walking by the al fresco dinning area of Santa Lucia Ristorante on Vicolo di Febo. In the movie, Liz is mastering ordering food in Italian and orders up a scrumptious feast for her friends! Then right out front of Luxury Navona is Piazzetta Di San Simeone, where Liz observes a young couple kissing. And of course Piazza Navona where Liz enjoys gelato on the same bench as a couple of happy nuns! I pride myself at being observant and was delighted to have spontaneously stumbled upon this little cinematic trivia. Googling provided confirmation. So, yes, Luxury Navona has a great location with proximity to a lot.
We were very happy with this hotel! Borromini was a good room and the location excellent. Only big minus was that the wardrobe was at the bathroom so clothes got damp the first day. Don't put yours there, and you will be grand. Pictures were accurate of the premises, which was a nice surprise.
Excellent Experience. From the beginning Claudia (manager) was very helpful, from finalizing arrival time, tour arrangement, etc. Stayed three nights in their single bedrooms. Very clean rooms with nice bathrooms. Sky TV in room. Shared Nespresso coffee machine for all guests. Claudia is very friendly and speaks great English. Great location, just minutes from Piazza Navona with lots of good restaurants. I would strongly recommend anyone visit Rome this place.
Stayed three nights in brand new bedrooms. Very clean rooms with nice bathrooms. Sky TV in room. Shared Nespresso coffee machine for all guests. Fridge in room. We arrived quite late. Claudia was available to meet and greet us. Very friendly and speaks great English. Great location, just minutes from Piazza Navona with lots of good restaurants with 5 minutes walk.
Marvellous Location in the heart of Rome. Very nice Interieur, friendly People, every sght to reach per feet in about 30 Minutes. Great! And in the Via die Coronari there are so may Restaurants, Osterias, Bars...just perfect
This place isn't what you would call a hotel, it's a guesthouse! Which mean the staff isn't always there make sure you call ahead of time so someone can be there. All in all great place, built into an old monastery! Really cool atmosphere!
Too bad - a fantastic location, close to the Pizza Navona, in a nice street. Positiv: - Nice Staff when you arrive - very friendly with good English. - Nice big arrival room - very good and nicely set - Perfect location Negative - for 170 euros at night in the "luxury room" I expect - even in Rom - much more then - a dark room with hardly light during the day - a very tight room.- when you com with 2 suitcases you can't store it - the flat will only be cleaned between 10-12 , if you miss it, you don't get new towels - even when it is clean - lotion and shampoo was not exchanged - no possibility to iron your shirt in the rooms - hard bed (but that depends on the taste) So all in all - I'll take only hotel chains in the future - no more luxury flats - not for this price - too bad :-(
Very nice, clean and super cute guesthouse on a perfect location in the city. It's a 2 minute walk to Piazza Navona, 10 minutes to the Vatican. As my flight arrived in the middle of the night and check-in was until 6pm, the owner provided me with the door code so I could let myself in. All personnel was very kind. I highly recommend this guesthouse.
