This small boutique hotel is located on the FIRST FLOOR of a historic old, multi-use building just a couple of blocks East Piazza Navona. So you do have to carry luggage up 1 flight. Happily the guy who was on duty helped us do that! Rooms are small but very adequate and well appointed. NICE CLEAN PLACE! Good value for the price that we got via booking.com Lots of shops and restaurants, nearby. But suggest you ask the hotel staff for some restaurant recommendations -- as there are some that are simply overpriced (and quite frankly not that good) because they are so close to Piazza Navona. The Vatican, Pantheon, Travestare, Campo de' Fiori, and more are all walkable from here. You can also easily walk to a stop on the Hop-on Hop-off bus lines. And you can buy tickets for several different lines at the stop. There also is a convenient taxi stand near Piazza Navona. Hotel will help you arrange transfers to/from airport. They don't serve breakfast, but their are nice snacks, juice, and water in the room. Found the mini fridge to be helpful. Wifi, shower, and AC all worked great!!
The Locanda Navona is located in a beautiful little neighborhood just steps away from the Piazza Navona. Rooms are very nice...all of ours had balconies overlooking the streets below. While they do not serve breakfast, they do provide snacks, a coffee pot, juice and water, all of which are free. Lots of restaurants, shops and a grocery store nearby. Within walking distance to the Vatican, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and more. Lovely little church just around the corner. Easy to explore the surrounding area. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. There were seven of us and they reserved a minibus for transfer from the airport which was cheaper than any of the public options. Taxi stand a short distance away which was nice when we were leaving and needed to go to the train station. Only downside was having to carry our luggage up and down two flights of stairs.
My mother and I both loved this sweet little inn! Located just steps from the Piazza Navona, it was a lively, beautiful neighborhood with lots of restaurants and activity. Like many others, I found that the noise-blocking windows did a fantastic job of keeping the street noise out. Located in an old historic building, there is no sign apart from the little buzzer, making it feel a bit like a fun secret. That being said, we had no trouble finding the place, and our keys let us come and go at all hours with no trouble. The staff was very warm and welcoming - everyone we interacted with was so helpful, from giving us recommendations & maps to helping me figure out my Italy power converter for the first time! There is water, snacks, and coffee in the room - all free - and plenty of places to grab a bite nearby. I bathroom was also great - a high/adjustable shower head (an unusual find in Europe for this tall lady!), and excellent water pressure. Everything was clean, comfortable, and easy to maneuver. The wifi and air conditioning worked well. All around, wonderful value for the price. If/when we return to Rome, it will be an easy decision to book another room at the Locanda Navona!
This lovely small hotel is situated in a great location down a cobbled street off the Piazza Navona which is surrounded by lots of bars & resturants.Something for everyone of all ages. The bedroom & ensuite was clean & fully equipped with double windows opening out to the street below. The staff were extremely helpful & obliging. Most of the major attractions were in walking distance from the hotel & off the piazza is a Taxi Rank - authorised white cabs who do not rip you off. Although they do not offer breakfast or room service - a kettle, coffee, tea, milk ,biscuits & cake were supplied on a daily basis but there are many local cafes nearby - one directly outside the door. I would highly recommend a stay here & it was value for money. 10 out of 10!
We were very impressed with this little place. The owner and staff went overboard to solve an air conditioning problem which was threatening our stay. The weather was very hot and when the A/c failed they replaced the complete unit, gave us two new fans in the interim, offered to move us to another hotel and gave us a bottle of wine and some money back. How good is that. The room was very good, double glazed to keep out the noise of the bustling streets and the dozens of restaurants nearby. Serviced regularly. Highly recommended.
This hotel is relatively small and hidden away as it is located on the second floor of an old apartment building. My boyfriend and I were a little nervous when booking because of this but when we arrived we're pleasantly surprised. When we arrived you show up to a large brown door that is unlabeled (due to being located on the second floor of an old apartment building with other things on the other floors). You have to click the Locanda Navona button to the side to be let inside. Once inside, the hotel was very nice and very well upkept. The man at the front desk was very friendly and spoke good English. He gave us a map and briefly explained some common locations to visit, very helpful! They provided free cookies, water, juice etc that was replenished every day! This was really nice when we wanted little snacks at night and could eat it without being charged crazy prices like a normal hotel mini bar/snack bar. We also used their private car service to pick us up from the airport on our flight in and drive us to the airport for our return flight, it was a life saver. Also the location was great, we felt like we were in the middle of all the places we wanted to see and were able to walk everywhere. Hidden gem that I would definitely recommend!
Me and my fiancée stayed here for three nights in June 2017. The accommodation is situated on the second floor of an old apartment building on Via di Tor Millina, very close to Piazza Navona. When we arrived the man on reception was very helpful. He checked us in and then showed us how to get to all the main sites. He showed us to our room (103), where there was a complimentary bottle of red wine and a packet of cookies waiting for us. There was also free water and orange juice in the fridge, which was replenished daily. The room was very clean, comfortable and well decorated. Free wifi was available and there was a safe. Our room looked out over Via di Parione. The area can be very noisy at night time, however the sound proof doors block out virtually all the noise, and we never found it to be a problem. Like I say, the area can be very noisy at night time, this is due to the numerous restaurants and bars that provide a vibrant and lively atmosphere. We ate at three different places on Via di Tor Millina, and had a drink in a couple of the others. It was great to have such excellent choice on our doorstep, because after spending the days out and about, we weren't keen on venturing too far in the evening. Overall I highly recommend staying at Locanda Navona. The quality and standard of the accommodation was great, and it is in a superb location. I would definitely stay here again if/when visiting Rome.
Absolutely amazing place . The man on reception was great gave us a map of everywhere to go . Plenty of Restaurants and Coffee shops about the Hotel . Our room was over looking the street which is good not noisy because of the sound proof doors on balcony window . Good size room and Bathroom has everything in it ☺
We recently stayed here for 3 nights having been collected at the airport upon our arrival as arranged by the staff through Booking.com. The 6 Rooms are located on the first floor in an old apartment building but having only been renovated 3 years ago the rooms are very modern clean and well maintained. Each day the rooms are cleaned and the bedding exchanged and fresh treats left including water, tea and coffee items, cakes, biscuits and coffee cream. We bought some tea bags and some milk locally so we could have a brew whenever we felt like one. You are free to come and go as you please and can always get good local advice from the hosts. The rooms are in the middle of a busy area with lots of restaurants, pizza places, clothing shops and other small businesses. It is a very lively area with lots of tourists due to the close vicinity of the Piazza Navona, which was an arena in Roman Times. All the big attractions are within walking distance. We took a taxi to the Colosseum which cost less than 10€. We walked back window shopping and stopped off for a bite to eat. One thing to note is the cost of eating locally, if you stop and have a ham roll and cup of coffee you can expect today goodbye to €35 and meals on the Piazza Navona can easily cost €60 for two. We also arranged our return to the airport with the hosts and were charged €45 direct by the taxi firm, the same as the price when we were collected, even though we were collected at 10pm. We would love to stay here again if we return, the price was good, the facilities great and the hosts charming.
What a brilliant find this hotel was! The location is perfect. We stayed 9-12 Sept 2016. We booked the return transfers direct with the hotel which was very easy and stress free. Checkin was easy and we were given a map and recommendations of where to visit. I had emailed in advance to ask if they could arrange a cake and some wine for my mums birthday. This was arranged along with a few little gifts. Our room was wonderful with doors that opened out on the street below. There was no noise at night if you closed the shutters. The fridge was stocked daily with water and drinks and the snacks replenished. We used to go to the cafe bar below in a morning where you could get a cake and a cappuccino for €1.60. At check in we asked for restaurant and Gelato recommendations. The best Gelato was only the street behind. Definitely worth a few visits!! On the same street as the Gelato there was numerous pizzerias that were very reasonably priced with great food. If you want to go to the Vatican and colosseum I would definitely recommend booking direct with them online before you go. This allows you to queue jump and when you see the queues when you get there, you will be glad you did. We have fallen in love with Rome and I can't believe that I have never been before. What a wonderful place and a superb hotel. We will will be back.
