This is lovely hotel which has really interesting decoration which makes it stand out from the competition. The reception and lobby are stunning and the rooms have been fitted with a great standard of furnishing. The hotel was very clean and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The lady behind the desk at reception was a mine of information, suggestions and sorted out our Vatican visit which was fantastic with a superb guide. The price was competitive too so this is a good option. Breakfast in Leon's Palace is excellent with a great selection of fruit, cheese, pastries and hot options including sausage, bacon, egg and mushrooms. The waiter is great fun and will offer 5 and 7 star coffee :) Across the street is one of the best Gelateria in Rome and down the street is a small shop selling all the basic essentials so buy your water and snacks there. We got the train from the airport which is half the price of a taxi and it is about 10 mins walk. The bar is very stylish but a cocktail will cost 14 euro but they are really good. Unfortunately not many people use the bar which was a shame so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. Overall a great hotel which is slightly out of the busy city centre but within easy walking distance.
Both the lobby and the rooms are very nice and each room has a complementary mobile phone with data and free calls to EU and a few other countries. We arrived to this hotel in the middle of the night without a previous reservation and the staff was very accommodating and helpful.
Stayed here for a few nights whilst in Rome. 10 minutes from Termini train station and metro station. Although about 45 mins walk to Vatican, it is definitely a hotel I would return to. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, breakfast was buffet style and suited our needs- usual meats, cheeses, etc. Room was large, spotlessly clean and although overlooking a fairly busy road, we could not hear any traffic. Romana geletaria- possibly serving the best ice cream in Rome- is right across the road from the hotel. Mobile phone provided free of charge to use as required including all international phone calls. A great find and highly recommended.
Excellent hotel, friendly staff, the place was clean, the location was nice and feels very safe as am a solo traveler, over all the whole experience was very nice, would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again
Excellent in every way. Rooms amazing and staff fantastic, hotel is beautiful inside and bar was expensive but worth it as service was 100% Drinks great and varied , clean and tidy and not a thing out of place Only fault breakfast was a let down totally rubbish
Booked via Monarch ( sadly now gone ) . Good quiet room , in a lovely hotel with nice staff, a good breakfast ( and breakfast manager - 5* or 7 * drinks ! ) . Pleasant bar, although no Rose, so missed out on a little of our cash. Reception staff gave good advice on trips and visits.
We stayed here for 2 nights. On check i the staff were very polite and accommodating, we managed to check in to our room early which was lovely. The staff gave us great directions where to go etc. The room however was very small almost walking straight into the bed when opening the door. There was limited storage for luggage and no fridge for putting our drinks in etc. The breakfast offered a great selection and the staff once again were very polite. The major downfall that ruined the stay for us was the constant noise of the water from other peoples showers and toilets going through our room, the loud neighbour and worst of all the constant smell of smoke, made worse when the air con is on. I presume coming from other rooms. If we had known it was not non smoking it may have changed our minds in us staying here. I dislike coming home with all our luggage smelling of smoke and having to go out as the smell was strong.
I stayed for 4 nights in September and found the hotel to be just what you see on the website. The entry is bright and very relaxing on the eye. Beautiful sofas to relax and chill. The room was big enough and nicely furnished with a large bathroom. I found the mattress too hard and spoke to the reception staff who were very accommodating. On my return after a long day out they had added a topper to the bed which made it much more comfortable for me. Breakfast is sufficient, the usual cheeses, cold meats, crossients etc, and some cooked eggs, bacon, toast. Tea, Coffee on tap and lattes on request. Used room service one evening and it was speedy and tasty. The bar is lovely and the bar staff very pleasant and again accommodating. A very wide range of drink, even lattes. Cocktails are pricey but worth it. I would definitely return and highly recommend to others.
spent 6 nights in this hotel, a fantastic and comfortable stay, friendly staff (with great English), great location and facilities. room was small but comfortable and cleaned daily, great bathrooms with shower and bath and free products were lovely ! however no tea/coffee facilities or kettle? those in the uk will know the pain! p.s. the gelato shop across the road is the best in Rome !
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, especially the 2 gentlemen who ran the breakfast room. The breakfast selection was very good. If you stay here you must visit the gelato shop across the street, it is amazing. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the main sites and there is a good selection of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again.
