Recently visited here for my 27th Birthday with my girlfriend. The hotels artistic and sleek decor immediately caught our attention upon entry. Although we arrived a little early for check in, we were let into our room early. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay (including a surprise complimentary bottle of Prosecco from the manager!). The lush, green terrace of the hotel bar provided the perfect space to chill out and have an apertivo. Strongly recommend the Aperol Spritz made by the tentative bar man Gabriele (Grazie Amico!) and the bustling Gelato bar across the street.
Lovely, well appointed hotel and rooms, which would surely earn the title 'boutique'. Great location with friendly knowledgable staff. A small criticism would be the lack of atmosphere generated in the bar area made the beautiful reception and lobby areas feel a little flat
An early arrival at Leon's Place meant our room was not ready, we did have the use of the bathrooms to change and freshen up before our luggage was put into secure storage. Our rooms were ready when we came back from sightseeing. The lady behind the desk at reception was a mine of information, suggestions and directions. The hotel is within 15 minutes walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and from there the whole of Rome. Remember Rome is built on hills so be prepared for some steep climbs. The decoration of the rooms was very bling with lots of mirrors which made them appear bigger but for a city centre hotel they were big enough. As the road directly in front of the hotel is only one way traffic noise is not an issue. Breakfast in Leon's Palace is excellent with a great selection of fruit, cheese, pastries and even a fry. Across the street is one of the best Gelateria in Rome and down the street is a small shop selling great sandwiches and a glass of cool wine on the way home in the evening, worth a visit. The staff at the Pharmacy next door also speak English and are very helpful.
This was our 3rd time in Rome and first in this hotel. Leon's Place situates in nice and calm location. It is modern and stylish. What you see in the hotel's pictures is what you get. Location was close enaugh to many attractions such as Spanish steps and Fontana si Trevi. You can easily walk there. There are few restaurants and groceries nearby (the city's best icecream and pizza slices just few blocks away). Reception is very fast and helpfull. Breakfast was reilu good with vast seleccion of items. We also visited hotel's restaurant/ bar for lunch and afternoon bite and found it rather good. The only minus to our stay was stains in our room's big mirror and on the carpet. They should have been cleaned better or changed to new ones (the stains looked as they've been there for quite a while..). All in all Leon's Place is a quality Hotel in Rome.
We booked through Monarch, a budget airline..... however this is not a budget hotel. As soon as you arrive , it impresses. The Reception staff are so polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and modern ( although my wife was disappointed to note, no kettle ! ) and Bathrooms well fitted. There is a hidden spa in the basement, and a not so hidden swing in the foyer ( sober use only....) The Bar is lovely as is the Barman, but be prepared to hurt your wallet. Breakfast was superb, with lots of choice, and lovely food. Location is good, though a bit of a walk to the metro. Make sure you visit the ice cream parlour over the road !!
We stayed here for our honeymoon in April and was perfect! Gorgeous hotel, trendy, modern and sophisticated. The swing in the reception was a hit 👍🏻 the bar was great and so chilled and enjoyed the outside area too. We paid for breakfast in bed on day one and it was huge! The breakfast each morning catered for all needs and was great. The bar price was pricey and room service was €15 just to bring the food up 😳 so that was little steep. There is an amazing ice cream shop across the road that had quakes out of the door every day! The location was fab , about 5-10min walk to termini station and about 5-10mins other direction to Trevi fountain and pantheon. Loved our stay here and would 100% stay here again if in Rome.
Great hotel situated just the right distance from all the attractions of Rome. We stayed in room 211 which had the use of a large outside area which was great for relaxing after the hectic days sightseeing. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious (especially the scrambled eggs). All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend staying here to anyone wanting a hotel in Rome.
The hotel was extremely comfortable and well located. Close to Termini Railway Station so very handy when arriving in Rome by train. Breakfast was fantastic. The only problem was we had booked a deluxe double room which was shown in the photos on all websites to have opening doors onto small balcony. This was the main reason we chose this hotel but only a couple of the rooms have a balcony and none were available. This is something that needs to be rectified on their website. Otherwise the stay was great.
This is a really great hotel. The staff were excellent, breakfast was wonderful and the room was great. We love our bed at home but the mattress here was so good. Nice and firm! Compared to other places in Rome, the hotel was well decorated and the rooms were much larger than other hotels around the city. It's a little bit of a walk from the main attractions, 3km will get you in the main but, but there's a bus stop nearby if needed. It's also next to two AMAZING ice cream shops.
Only about a 10 minute walk from the main station & 5 mins to nearest metro. Area is very quiet over the weekend, can feel lonely as most buildings are embassies. However it didn't feel unsafe due to the police presence at these buildings! Hotel lobby definitely has the wow factor! White marble, black sofas & a swing attached to a chandelier! Rooms were fairly spacious, queen bed was big enough for 2 friends to share (there are no twin rooms so be warned!) Buffet breakfast had good choice of hot and cold choices. Tea and coffee was offered by staff. Gets a bit confusing when a lot of people turn up at once, some people sitting others wait for staff to seat them, but staff are not clear on which is the right way! Looking for a boutique hotel within walking distance of main sites, this is a fab choice!
