Fantastic- absolutely love this place, nothing is too much trouble- friendly helpful staff - first time I've ever tipped the receptionist- breakfast varied & just enough. Walkable to some of the tourist locations -a great hotel in a great location.
I slept 3 nights over a business trip in this hotel. Where should I start?! 1) the WiFi was not working in my room on the 5th floor. I called the reception and asked whether they could restart the modem or something and they replied “sorry the technician is not there, you have to come to the hall and work here”. 2) the TV was not working. Someone came in my room and said “sorry the sky decoder in this room is broken, but it takes time to be replaced”. 3) the breakfast is very limited and apparently they only serve mini sized croissants and muffins. 4) what they call gym it actually consists of 3 devices. Other general comments are that the rooms are quite small and the first tube is around 1 km away. The only positive thing is that the rooms are very clean, but this is minimum requirement for a 4 stars hotel at a rate of 158€ per night.
We stayed here whilst visiting Rome to watch the Six Nations, hotel staff very kind and friendly. Hotel beautiful in all areas - we stayed on floor 2 and had a balcony door leading out onto a beautiful terrace. Very comfy beds with lovely equipped rooms, and lovely bathroom although we had no drawers which was a shame for storing smaller items of clothing/underwear. Another comment is that the hotel is currently set in winter mood which left the room very very hot, we much prefer sleeping in a cooler room and couldn’t open a window as it was a door, this was easily solved by calling reception and asking for the heating to be turned off in our room. The hotel breakfast was lovely and had so much choice it was hard to pick! The hotel was in an ideal location to walk to both the town and the stadium! Thank you!!
We usually have a weekend away for our anniversary and this year decided on a whim to go to Rome. We selected Leon’s Place because of its easy walking from the train station and to the centre of the shopping and antiquities. The hotel was lovely, the room was comfortable and smart with everything there to make it a special weekend and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location wise it was a 30 minute walk to the ancient monuments which was fine for us and if not there were bus and metro services nearby. Lots of good restaurants cafes nearby on adjacent streets and in particular a fab ice cream place right opposite the hotel. All are reviewed separately. Just a 10 min walk to some shopping which the wife loved but this end of Rome is a bit quieter and less expensive on the weekend for a night out than the centre but we couldn’t fault our wonderful weekend made all the better by the fantastic hotel we stayed in and would recommend to anyone. Breakfast was delicious and the bar and barman made for a great end to our evenings. I can’t speak highly enough of this hotel - our experience was brilliant.
This hotel is stunning, beautiful decor, friendly staff and super clean. Our room was very small though but perfectly formed, think it was 309. the only complaint I had was there was very little wardrobe space and no draws/cupboard so we had to live out of our cases which isn’t ideal in a very small room. The room and bathroom were stunningly decorated with the most amazing pillows( I never sleep well but didn’t want to get out of bed they were so comfy). Tried to find them in the uk with no luck. Everywhere was so clean. The staff were really helpful and friendly, especially the bartender. There’s an amazing swing in the lobby which you can actual use. The hotel is a bit of a walk into the main centre, a good 20 mins to the trevi fountain that’s if you know where your going so I’d advice you to get a taxi the 1st day and get on a tour bus to get your bearings. The hotel does provide a mobile phone to use on your stay for satnav and calls Home which was great, we still got lost though. There are restaurants near the hotel if you don’t want to go back into the city. I would definitely go back to this hotel and would recommend it to everyone, I would ask for a different room if I visited again just for the space. we only stayed 3 nights and out most of the time so small room didn’t spoil our stay but larger one would have been more comfortable.
We came across Leon's Place and couldn't believe that such quality and beauty was available at very reasonable prices. This should definitely be high on your list of options if you are looking for a wonderfully comfortable stay in Rome! If you don't mind walking for around 30 minutes to get to the likes of Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain, then you will have no trouble getting around from the hotel location. We found the best time to do this was at night, when most of the monuments and buildings of significance are lit up and you can take in all the city has to offer. The staff at Leon's cannot do enough for you, and the room was attended to even though we only spent 2 nights in the hotel (we wished that we could move in!). The room décor was fabulous - clean, light and airy, and the curtains are dark enough to keep out the rising sun should you wish to sleep longer. I also fell in love with the mirrored wardrobe! The double shower in the bathroom is a very nice touch, as we preferred to use the rain-style shower instead of the normal one and it was very easy to get the perfect temperature. We didn't have time to enjoy the beautiful settings at the hotel Bar, however we do plan to return to Rome and will more than likely book with Leon's Place again! Grazie Mille to all of you for making our stay to celebrate my birthday, even more special!
The room was clean and cozy. There was a lot of space in the room itself and a comfortable bed. The downside was that the shower didn't work very well and the corridor was a bit claustrophobic. The breakfasts were tasty, but the offer was the same every day, so it could get a bit boring. The hotel is localized near to main tourist attractions and it's fairly easy to get from here to all the more distant ones. Overall a very pleasant experience.
we stayed there for my 50th birthday and it was absolutely brilliant. We would definitely return, the hotel is situated close to the hop on hop off bus stop so its mega easy to get around and see all the sights. The rooms are large, comfortable and very stylish with a gorgeous balcony. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. We visited the jacuzzi once during our stay and it was spotless and well maintained - i cannot praise it enough.
This was a lovely, stylish hotel meeting main tho not all requirements. Positives: spacious, stylish room. Brilliant breakfasts - plentiful and full of choice ( handy when with kids). Service was friendly and attentive. The spa/ jacuzzi pool was a welcome antidote to hot summer days in Rome - for us and the kids. Negatives: it was far from the main tourist spots tho 10 mins from one of the key metro lines (that takes you to the Vatican). We needed to take a taxi closer to the main areas and then walk. Probably more of an issue with children and in the height of summer - other times of year the walk would be a pleasure. Two gripes about the room - notable lack of storage for essentials things such as cameras, change, chargers, maps, books etc and poor temperature control and pressure for the shower. That aside, I would recommend the hotel. It was a very pleasant stay.
Lovely boutique hotel! Very trendy and clean. We were just looking for a place for a couple of nights near the train station since we were just passing through Rome. This place was a very pleasant surprise!
